Jenkins will keep running normally after jobs directory is deleted, and create the corresponding sub-directories for the jobs, but without the config.xml. Some jobs config files will be re-created if you happens to change it, which leads to config files will disappear randomly. So, DO NOT DELETE jobs directory as a whole. Since version 1.612, some of my jobs disappeared. When checking my logs, there are no exceptions or errors. The jobs exist on the filesystem but there is no config.xml from all of the missing jobs. I thought it could be a plugin issue but it will not explain the missing config.xml from about half of my jobs. Add Comment
