Daniel Spilker commented on JENKINS-27721 Empty Elements different in Generated vs. Re-Generated projects I can not reproduce this. Which versions of Jenkins, the JobConfigHistory plugin and the JDK are your using? This message is automatically generated by JIRA. [JIRA] [job-dsl-plugin] (JENKINS-27721) Empty Elements different in Generated vs. Re-Generated projects
Rob Fagen commented on JENKINS-27721 Empty Elements different in Generated vs. Re-Generated projects Running in Jenkins. Running v. 1.30 of the plugin Followed the tutorial from the wiki. I was looking at the XML diffs by using the Jenkins jobConfigHistory plugin. I guess this is pretty minor, since only the diff from "created" to "first update" has this noise. From "first update" to "second update" and on, you have the combined tag for any empty elements so the diff disappears. This message is automatically generated by JIRA. [JIRA] [job-dsl-plugin] (JENKINS-27721) Empty Elements different in Generated vs. Re-Generated projects
Rob Fagen created JENKINS-27721 Empty Elements different in Generated vs. Re-Generated projects Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Daniel Spilker Components: job-dsl-plugin Created: 02/Apr/15 6:20 PM Description: If you generate a project, empty elements (e.g. "properties") are rendered as start+end tags (e.g. "properties/properties"). If you then re-generate a project, empty elements are rendered as combined tags (e.g. "properties/"). It makes diffs messy. Would it be possible to generate using combined tags as well?
