[JIRA] [master-slave] (JENKINS-18205) Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave
rggjan commented on JENKINS-18205 Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave Same problem here, happens for a linux jenkins with a Mac OS X slave. Archiving ~100MB of data takes 10 minutes, while copying it manually over the network only takes around 10 econds... This message is automatically generated by JIRA. [JIRA] [master-slave] (JENKINS-18205) Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave
Marcel Beister edited a comment on JENKINS-18205 Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave We have some jobs that require archiving less than 1 MB of artifacts (with 1.535), but they are stuck in "archiving artifacts" for HOURS!! Other projects produce much bigger artifact but get the job done significantly faster. Does the archiving somehow depend on the number of files in the workspace or the size of the workspace? Marcel Beister commented on JENKINS-18205 Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave We found the problem. Although the log file showed "archiving artifacts", jenkins was waiting for the previous concurrent build to finish. This message is automatically generated by JIRA. [JIRA] [master-slave] (JENKINS-18205) Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave
Sven Amann created JENKINS-18205 Archiving Artifacts slow with Windows JNLP Slave Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Unassigned Components: master-slave Created: 05/Jun/13 7:28 AM Description: We hoped to see improvements after JENKINS-7813 was closed, but after we moved to 1.509 our buildjobs still need over 10 minutes to archive the ~100MB of our 15 artifacts. Does anyone else still experience this problem? Is this related to the slave connecting over JNLP (I don't see this setup mentioned in the referenced issue)? Environment: Host is Ubuntu 12.04 (running Jenkins 1.509) Slave is Windows XP (running in VM on the host) Project: Jenkins Priority: Major Reporter: Sven Amann This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
