Re: GitLab Branch Source Plugin Documentation

2021-03-15 Thread Sverre Moe
I may do that.
I learned today that the Credentials for this plugin could not use "GitLab
API Token", but the "GitLab Personal Access Token". Another confusion with
the GitLab Plugin.

GitLab Branch Source Plugin Documentation

2021-03-15 Thread Sverre Moe
More detailed information is needed on the documentation for GitLab Branch
Source Plugin
https://plugins.jenkins.io/gitlab-branch-source/

If one also has the GitLab Plugin, the Jenkins Configuration has two
sections called GitLab.
This should be mentioned so not to confuse.

About iii. Credentials - Contains a list of credentials entries that are of
type GitLab Personal Access Token. When no credential has been added it
shows "-none-". User can add a credential by clicking "Add" button.

Please mention, what type of credentials is needed.
Add->Choose Jenkins Credentials Provider
Kind=GitLab API Token
How to Create A GitLab API Token. Could probably link to some GitLab
documentation here.

About v. Secret Token
Where is this Advanced options that is mentioned? Is it in Jenkins, is it
in GitLab?
Where do one generate this token?

Throttle Concurrent Builds and Matrix configuration builds

2021-03-15 Thread Geoffroy J
Hello

i am trying to achieve the following use case using Throttle Concurrent
Builds 2.2 plugin:

Given a multi-configuration (matrix) job, limit the parallel execution of
the job configurations to the following:

   1. no more than 4 configurations of given job running globally
   2. no more than 2 configuratiosn of given job running per node

Job is configured to execute on a generic label matching several nodes.

However, at execution, i can see that all my node executors are being
filled by the numerous matrix job configurations, so it seems above setup
does not have any impact.

Am i missing something regarding this plugin usage?

Thanks in advance for your
