FreeStyle job option to selectively run downstream jobs

2023-01-24 Thread Naveen Chandra Sekhara
HI All,

Is there a plugin or steps where we can pick downstream jobs when I start
the job?
This will be very helpful.

Best Regards,
Naveen

global-build-stats is broken for job url

2022-08-10 Thread Naveen Chandra Sekhara
HI All,
I have upgraded to latest build and upgraded global-build-stats plugin.
Though it's really nice to see builds for x amount of time, when I click
job URL, I get 404 Error. URL is wrong.
Can someone tell how to fix it , it's a very useful plugin. Not sure why
many people are not using.

If not this plugin, can someone suggest Groovy or REST API to get build
stats for last X amount of days.

Best Regards,
Naveen

User management

2021-09-05 Thread Naveen Chandra Sekhara
HI all,
How do we make sure job created by user, only that person can modify/delete

We are using Azure Active Directory. As of now we have
Admin : who can do everything
developer : build, create, delete jobs
other : who can just view only jobs.

Can one user in developer modify/delete other user jobs??

GitHub Commits aren't triggering builds

2016-11-07 Thread Naveen Srinivasan
Hi,
We are using jenkins pipeline with github organization. The github
hooks are setup by the plugin and there are notifications coming to the
repo AFAIK. In the jenkins logs we could see "Received POST for
https://github.com/Revature/core; but the builds aren't being triggered.
And our jenkinsfile has this

properties([pipelineTriggers([[$class: 'GitHubPushTrigger']])])

But even with this builds aren't triggered automatically. What are we
missing?

Thanks
Naveen

Help with invoking scripts via CURL

2016-10-09 Thread Naveen Srinivasan
Hi,

I am trying to automate Jenkins fully using helm and kubernetes
https://github.com/kubernetes/charts/tree/master/stable/jenkins . By doing
this the admin password is available via kubernetes secretes. The goal
is to automate bringing up jenkins without logging into the server
manually. As part of that I would like to execute scripts pointing to
jenkins server.

When I try to use admin with password
curl --data-urlencode "script=$(<./test.groovy)" http://admin:cEunYtfPfP@
http://192.168.99.100:31419/scriptText

I am getting an exception
hudson.security.AccessDeniedException2: anonymous is missing the
Overall/Read permission
at hudson.security.ACL.checkPermission(ACL.java:65)
at hudson.model.Node.checkPermission(Node.java:464)
at jenkins.model.Jenkins.getTarget(Jenkins.java:4426)
at org.kohsuke.stapler.Stapler.tryInvoke(Stapler.java:674)
at org.kohsuke.stapler.Stapler.invoke(Stapler.java:876)

Where as If I login into the server and get the API token for admin then
the same code works if i use the API token.
curl --data-urlencode "script=$(<./test.groovy)"
http://admin:b8d84d283000b5ce7b446a756f820352@192.168.99.100:31419/scriptText

What am I doing wrong? Is this possible? Like I had mentioned I would like
to use automate everything without ever logging into the server.

Thank you!
Naveen

Configuring Jenkins jobs to include specific parameters for Slave Jobs.

2016-10-06 Thread naveen shankar
Hi,

I have a query regarding jenkins.
I have a master job (MJob) plus 3 slave jobs (SJob1, SJob2 & SJob3) and all
the slave jobs required seperate parameters to run.

My requirement is that to specify all the required parameters from MJob
which is useful for SJob1, SJob2 & SJob3 to run on more than one Test Node.
As of now, I am using "Trigger/Call builds on other projects" while
configuring MJob to include SJob1, SJob2 & SJob3. But I am not sure how to
pass the required parameters from MJob to SJob's.

Requesting all the readers help me out here.
Thanks in advance

Regards,
Naveen P S

A program accessible directly on MAC system is reported as "command not found"

2016-04-22 Thread Naveen G.M.
Hi,

Jenkins Version : Jenkins ver. 1.638

I have configured a Jenkins Matrix Job which is running file on Windows
system.
When I extended the same job to run on a MAC system, the MAC job is failing
by saying "command not found".
If I login directly on the MAC system and run the same command, it runs
without any problems.

Can anyone tell me what could be wrong. The complete log of build is as
follows.

axis2 webservice

2013-11-18 Thread naveen gayar
Hi,

I have axis2 webservice, which I build through eclipse and generate a aar
file. I copy this aar into axis.war folder. I deploy axis2.war into
weblogic.

Can I share my code repository to Jenkins team. Will they be able to do the
rest?

Thanks
