Re: Changing Jenkins URL

2018-10-24 Thread Adrien Lecharpentier
This is a more global setup configuration. I'm not sure this can be
answered on this mailing list.

It's not different from setting up a DNS entry for a website.

Re: Changing Jenkins URL

2018-10-23 Thread Adrien Lecharpentier
Hello,

this is not really enough. This field let you configure how Jenkins will
notify the users of the instance, in case of build failure for example.

You still need to configure the DNS, reverse-proxy or other elements.

Best regards.

Changing Jenkins URL

2018-10-16 Thread Faad Sayaou
Hello everyone
I changed Jenkins URL field to "jenkins-app.mywebsite.com" in the
jenkins.model.JenkinsLocationConfiguration.xml file and I tried accessing
it on the browser but to no avail. My goal is to set up a running Jenkins
instance where everyone in the company can access it with the link. Any
help will be appreciated.

Changing jenkins URL doesn't work

2012-05-16 Thread Venkat
Fellow Jenkins Users,
I am trying to change my Jenkins URL to more generic.. for eg,
http://myorg.jenkins.com
I made this change under Manage Jenkins but its not working.

I could save the URL successfully. When I get the email at the end of
build, it sends me the updated URL.
but when I click on this URL, page doesn't exist.

Is there anything else I need to change ?
My Jenkins is hosted on Tomcat on Linux.

Thanks for your time and help.

Yes, I am using email-ext. After your response, I've upgraded email-
ext to the latest 2.2.0 but that didn't help
What was the issue with email-ext and how/which version it was fixed ?

Thanks,
Venkat.
