This is the steps which i have followed. step 1: Build a free-style software project step 2: IN configuration page, I have selected the option This build is parametreized Step 3: Provide String parameter Name : VERSION default value : RELEASE dESCRIPTION : abcd Step 4: Under the build section SSH Site : My personal linux server Command: : echo JAVA_HOME WORKS FINE echo $VERSION echo $version RETURNS Blank line. Hope that i was clear ? Please help.
