I have spent a bit of time in a use of jsf (with Java Studio Creator) for
a rapid develop of JSF portlet (with SUN RI), an article about the work
of this portlet are in progress (article available when are completed on
jugsardegna.org).The function are very simple, i use the same examples of the
http://www.jugsardegna.org/vqwiki/jsp/Wiki?PortletJava2En
for a better comprension, if you think that are interesting, i can
modified or integrate the code with the version for jet1 and jet2 with
myfaces.

Has anyone had a look at MyFaces?

I think we can gain a lot of time downstream by building in JSF support
and using these components in the admin and demo portlets...

Are you saying that you have updated MyFaces to
support portlets? I would love to see that. I have
started to work on it myself, but time has been scarce
;(

I also know that Jason Novotny from Gridsphere is
interested in this as well.

Sounds like a good idea, if JSF is really all it is cracked up to be.

I see a JSF portlet coming. I think a big plus for Jetspeed could be
that it integrates all these technologies (Struts, PHP, JSF,..) in a portal.
