please help !

2001-10-12 Thread chaloo banda

hi friends !
please help me solve the following problem .

i am writing an application where i have an RSS portlet containing a link
to a form redered by cocoon.now the link itself gets generated dynamically
using rundata to append the current userid as the query string in the link.
this link then will present the form with the relevant user details filled
already.

the problem is that all work fine when i access the form first time. but
any subsequent clicking on the link shows that the link is not getting
refreshed when I log out and log in as a different user. even starting a
new browser window has no effect.only when i restart tomcat and log in as a
different user does the link refreshes.

i doubt that the problem may be due to cache. so i change the following in
my TurbineResources.Properties.

module.cache=false

and in JR.P.

refresh.portlet.default = 1
contentfeeds.fetchall=false

but the problem stays !
any ideas ???

i am using
jetspeed 1.3a1
tomcat 3.2.2
win NT 4.0
apache 1.3.11

awaiting response,
thanx,
CB

AW: AW: AW: Bug Reports 1.3a2

2001-10-12 Thread Riedl Juergen

Raphael,

thank you for this information. I will review with our developer Andreas how he did
it.

He reportet to me, that he has one problem with the customizer (we can customize html
and wml separately now):
o since he load the wml default.psml for customising, selecting Home
or something else the wml default remains loaded. That means
wml portlets are displayed as $screen_placeholder.

On monday we will review the call tree how to hande this. If you have a suggestion, of
course, this is highly appreciated.

Nice weekend

Juergen

I doubt, that for a first shot it is neccessary to support any functionality of
the ProfileLocator. In my opinion the functionality of 1.3a1 is the first step:
o one can select and deselct WML portlets

The ProfileLocator functionality is already implemented in the Profiler service,
you just need to use it.

If he had to change the profile accessible from JetspeedRunData.getProfile() then
he probably needs to remove it when it goes out of customization mode and before a
request is made to load the Home page (the profile is refreshed at session
validation step).

Otherwise it's very easy to modify the sessionValidator so that it always refresh
Profile objects...

Bugzilla

2001-10-12 Thread David Sean Taylor

Ignacio,

Could you please give all of us jetspeed users a brief introduction/overview
of Bugzilla?
For example, could you describe to us how to go about logging a bug.
It would also be useful to know the standard procedure for logging a bug.
Like if a user finds a bug, should the user first post the bug to the list,
or immediately log the bug in bugzilla?
Do users need a Bugzilla account in order to log a bug?

This would be very helpful for those of us who have never used Bugzilla.

Thanks,

David
