There is a bug in the template, if you use another language than english it's doesn't work. You can see in the links that for the mode it's use the word of your language but the class use the english word to identify the mode. In the template for the mode vm use the var $rName witch is given by localisation mechanism the instead of $rowLink.Name. Have you put the porltlet of editing on the same pane than the databrowser portlets? Sorry, but how do I put them both on the same pane? I thought I put the browser-portlet on a pane and if I choose an edit-link of one row the edit-portlet is displayed inplace of the browser-portlet!? Do I have to put them both on the same pane and both are visible at the same time? If I read the tutorial that seams not to be they did it. Problems with Jetspeed UserBrowser
We are encountering a problem related to UserBrowser when the number of users in the User Directory are large. Operation not possible. /portlets/html/user-browser.vm [line 19, col umn 60] We are using jetspeed1.4b3 version with IPlanet Directory Server 5.1 as Jetspeed User Repository. It seems to me that something is going wrong when the number of users exceed a certain limit/timeout. Is there any configurable parameter that governs this kind of limit? If not, is this a bug? If so, is there any this bug is fixable. We did not any see any problems when the number of users were around 900. Any hints in solving this problem are greatly appreciated. You can see in the links that for the mode it's use the word of your language but the class use the english word to identify the mode. In the template for the mode vm use the var $rName witch is given by localisation mechanism the instead of $rowLink.Name. What i understand is that a number of packages, especially xml related are already standard in the JDK 1.4. The Tomcat full-edition has some overlap with these packages, and that the LE version has been cleaned out. So no overlapping packages anymore. This seems very nice to me, as it keep control over the large number of packages used today. In this case, I would guess it might specifically use the Xerces parser. the LE version of Tomcat doesn't come with Xerces. It should be using the Interfaces and use whatever parser is available. BTW, xerces, xalan, mail, and anything else with endorsed packages should *not* be in WEB-INF/lib. It violates the Sun classloading spec and causes lots of hard to debug classloader errors. Tomcat now attempts to avoid loading endorsed packages from the WebappClassLoader, but I recommend not putting that stuff there in the first place to, if nothing else, avoid confusion when things don't work and it looks like they should. Endorsed packages should be loaded via the shared classloaders or the boot/system classloader. I actually recommend using the full version of Tomcat no matter what for any situation. I really don't have a clue why they ship an LE version. A smaller download maybe? In this day in age of broadband internet access, I don't see the reason?
