I do not understand the database browser
I would like to use the user object feature of the database browser. However, I have failed to find any explanation how to access the user objects that are supposed to be attached to the rows of the result table. I would be grateful for any elucidation. If this is the case, you can't. The WEB-INF folder is a special folder which can't be directly accessed from HTTP URLS. (This constraint is imposed by the J2EE specification for security reasons). However if you place your images in a place like jetspeed/images/myimage.jpeg then you can access then using img src=images/myimage.jpeg HTH Roshan From: Daniel Freitag [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: Jetspeed Users List [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jetspeed-user-list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Finding of Resource Date: Sun, 28 Sep 2003 17:56:00 +0200 Hi, I have a velocity-portlet which shows different velocity modules. (changes at runtime) I'm searching for a possibility to address an image from the velocity module. img src???/ I need the path to the portlets folder. But I don't have any idea how to get it. My velocity file is: jetspeed/WEB-INF/templates/vm/portlets/myportlet.vm The image: .../portlets/images/myimage.jpeg How can I address the image??? psml id's, names, and uniqueness
I'm looking for clarification on what must be unique in a given PSML file and globally: Do psml entry/reference/portlets ids have to be unique globally, or can they be unique to a given PSML file? Do psml entry/reference/portlets _names_ have to be unique globally, or can they be unique to a given PSML file? Essentially what I'm trying to do is build a lookup table so that documents in our simple CMS (very loosely based off of WebSurfRewriter) can link to other portlets in jetspeed. In an html doc in cms I want to be able to have an href to something like $JobApp or whatever that the scanner will pickup and do a lookup for the appropriate url to draw based on the user's default psml doc (role, anon, other otherwise). e.g. for the example above it would create a link like /media-type/html/user/anon/page/default.psml/js_pane/A-Employment for anonymous, /media-type/html/user/role/Valid/default.psml/js_pane/V-Employment for Valid users, etc... Is there anything like this out there already, or at least a place to start for ideas? Thanks, stu - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Jetspeed2 planning
I'll second that, thanks David and Scott for taking the time to answer our frustrations over and over :) I've been lurking a bit since I'm very busy at work with an upcoming product release, but I see the same question coming over and over about when will Pluto finally be delivered and I'm still surprised nobody has landed a replacement by now :) If somebody did maybe it would change the view of the people in the PMC that are reluctant to open source it ? But before I go down that road again, I must say if the code for Pluto was also entirely developed by IBM that in a way we should be thankful that they are willing to contribute it for free ! After all this code didn't write itself, and just like we are thankful to all the contributors to the Apache Foundation I think we will have to thank IBM for their contributions as soon as they finally land it :) As for the PMC members and the process, I understand a small group of volunteers must be able to decide for the masses on some issues. But I'm sure that corporate issues can get in the way of the committee but hey that's just how the world is :) Regards, Serge Huber.
