Admin, please remove me from list or let me know the right way.

This may happen if you sent your unsubsribe request from a different email
address than the one you're registered with.

If this is the case and you still have access (or a redirect) from your
previous account, you can unregister the previous email address using the
following syntax:

if your email is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
send a mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

You should recieve a confirmation request to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] address
that you have to reply to.

If the above doesn't work, send a manual request to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[Announce] Graffito (ex JCMS) has entered Incubator

2005-01-10 Thread Raphaël Luta
On behalf of the Graffito team and the Apache Portals PMC, I'm please to
announce
that Graffito, formerly known as JCMS, has completed its transition to the
Apache Incubator.

The main objective of Graffito is to create a portal oriented content
management
system. It's currently build on top of Apache Slide and the team also
plans to
support access to JCR content repositories through Jackrabbit.
Graffito user interface is managed with a set of JSR-168 portlets that
can be
deployed in compatible portal systems such as Apache Jetspeed.

If you are interested to learn more on Graffito, please consult the project
website at:

Creating a link to sub-pane

2005-01-10 Thread galit parnes
Hi,

In our portal we have links from one sub pane to another (under different
parents).

Until now we used $jslink.getPaneById(parent_pane_id,sub_pane_id).

Since we upgraded to jetspeed 1.5 - when importing a psml file jetspeed is
rewriting all the portlets ids.

So after importing the psml the links does not work anymore.

(We use the export/import to keep our environments synchronized).

My question is:

Is there a way to create a link to 'parent-pane,sub-pane' without using the
portlet's id?

Or is there a way to control the panes ids and avoid the rewriting when
importing the psml?

Thanks,

Galit.

Hi -

I just subscribed to this list last night from the jetspeed-2 sign up

Is this the wrong list or does it cover both versions.

This was used in *very* old versions of jetspeed (versions = 1.2).
Every config is now in properties files or Registry files (*.xreg)

jetspeed2-M1 with mssql

2005-01-10 Thread carlosortiz

Anyone try to build JetSpeed2-M1 with Mssql using the installer or the CVS
download?

I used the installer and CVS. everything worked expect when creating the
entire database. i had to run the sql scripts by hand and then the populate
script by hand. Also, the loginPortlet doesn't work, i keep getting
LoginModule not found.

I re-installed with hsql. and everything worked like a charm!! A real sweet
install. My complements to the chefs. So now i just got to get the same
result on mssql.

and tips out there for me? (that is besides don't use msssql :-))
Thanks,

Yes, this list covers both Jetspeed 1 and 2. For the time being you will
probably see more J1 posts just because there are more people using it.

PortletPreferences Deleted on Redeploy

2005-01-10 Thread Jeff Sheets
I'm using the PortletPreferences API to store the edit screen info
for my JSR168 Portlets, so that each user can customize the
information available on the portlet. The problem is that if I make a
bug fix to a portlet and redeploy it, the preferences have been reset
when the user refreshes their screen. Is this standard behavior? I
couldn't find exact detail in the spec, so I am hoping that the
preferences are only deleted when the user removes and re-adds the
portlet to their screen. It seems that if a bug fix is applied, that
the user's preferences should remain unless the portlet.xml has
changed.

Raphaël, concerning new Portals sub projects: there was a vote a few
months ago
about portals-bridges. Do you have any information about its status?
I didn't hear anything about it after the vote, but as I'm not a PMC member
I might have missed discussions on the PMC list.

Concerning Portals PMC membership:
I remember a few weeks ago Nick Lothian from the Pluto team wanted to
become
PMC member, but then you advised to wait till early January. I also
would like to
request to become a PMC member. Should I send a formal mail to

is this informal request enough?

Re: jetspeed2-M1 with mssql

2005-01-10 Thread Randy Watler
Carlos,
I too use MSSQL in production and have ported J2 M1 successfully.
However, there are some issues with the security-schema.sql script for
MSSQL involving multiple cascading delete paths on foreign keys. I am
still working on a solution for M2. I have not used the M1 installer
yet, so I am not sure when/where to apply the attached patch, (I use the
M1 release tarball on Linux). With the M1 release, one needs to run this
patch before running ant to setup the database. Good luck!

Problem with Redirect when using SSL with Tomcat

2005-01-10 Thread chris holt
I am using Tomcat 5.0.28 with Jetspeed 1.5 and I am having a problem
using SSL.
I have set the following in the web.xml file of jetspeed to force use of
SSL when talking to portal.

security-constraint
  web-resource-collection
   web-resource-nameEntire Application/web-resource-name
   url-pattern/*/url-pattern
  /web-resource-collection
  user-data-constraint
descriptionConstrain the entire application to force use of
HTTPS/description
   transport-guaranteeCONFIDENTIAL/transport-guarantee
  /user-data-constraint
 /security-constraint

When the user goes to http://localhost:8080/jetspeed Tomcat correctly
redirects the browser to https://localhost:8443/jetspeed.
However, the anonymous user login page takes forever to come up, and
when it does come up the skin isn't working. There is no borders, tab
controls, or anything. I believe the problem has to do with the base
tag being base href=https://mroadster:8080/jetspeed/;. I can see why
this would make things slow because of all the redirects but I don't
understand why the stylesheet isn't working correctly.

However, if the user goes to https://localhost:8443/jetspeed/ everything
works fine. Is there a why to get the $clink.External command to store
the redirected URL instead.

Thanks,

Chris
