Jetspeed 1.5 and Active Directory

2004-12-09 Thread lahsen abouenour
Hi,

We have adopted Jetspeed 1.5 as our future portal framework.. But there is a
big problem: we have already an Active Directory in use for authentications
with Exchange and we hope users to not have to remember other passwords (for
portal). So, is there any project that used integration between Jetspeed 1.5
and MS Active Directory, any links? It's a big problem for us.

Thanks.

RE: Static content

That's what i need, the FileServerPortlet worked well but i want also that the
target (of the links that in the html page) is the portlet, because when I try
those links the content is displayed within the page of the portal and not in
the portlet .. do you have any idea ?

I would assume what you want is static information like company information. I
did similarthing using html page and publish as a portlet. See the welcome
portlet under html.demo. It uses
org.apache.jetspeed.portal.portlets.FileServerPortletorg.apache.jetspeed.portal.portlets.FileServerPortlet

If you need more information, please let me know.

Not sure what you mean by 'presentation of company'.

Jetspeed1.5 : tutorial

2004-11-11 Thread lahsen abouenour

 Hi,

we want to customize our portal powered Jetspeed 1.5 , so we try steps
for customizing as shown in tutorial but when we build jetspeed with
maven war (in jetspeed root) we have the message :

BUILD FAILED

File.. C:\Documents and
Settings\abouenour\.maven\cache\maven-java-plugin-1.

4\plugin.jelly

Element... ant:javac

Line.. 52

Column 48

Compile failed; see the compiler error output for details.

Total time: 19 seconds

Finished at: Thu Nov 11 10:17:40 GMT 2004

---

What is the problem ? can we use directly the jetspeed.war (binary) to
try steps of tutorial ?

Thanks..
