Well, I don't you use an project.properties file. But I'm quite sure that you have got to mention the user there too: In Torque Properties: torque.dsfactory.default.connection.user = root In Project Properties: torque.database.user = root There is still something else missing: torque.database.default=Thesiswork And in the following entries of torque.properties you replace dsfactory by Thesiswork, eg torque.Thesiswork.default.connection.driver = com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
