 I find it useful to add automatically to uDig catalog the mapset choosen
 using JGrassMapset Settings.

 What do you think about?

That is interesting, since I have always seen it the way round.
What I usually do is to import the mapset into the catalog by
dragging. Then I do the g.setmapset, where I have a button to get the
mapset directly from the catalog, without having to browse the
filesystem.

You instead prefer to search for the mapset with the g.setmapset tool
and add it to the catalog.

I always have the feeling that the catalog should be somehow the starting point.
What do you think?
