As far as I know - where a broswer is concerned -  Viewstate is just a
hidden POST field.

So it should be possible to extract the value using Regex Extractor
for use in a subsequent POST request.

JMeter does not at present do this automatically, but as far as I can
tell it can be done.

Its inbuilt utility in VSTS 2005 need not to install any thing extra.

Somebody in this users list (Peter or Sebb) told me that it was a known

you use web_reg_save_param in LoadRunner. See
