Exactly; that is the same as
restrict 27-86

I may not understand correctly what your exact need is but maybe the
resno expression does the trick. eg :

restrict (resno>26 and resno<87)

Rolf Huehne of JenaLib has told me that Jmol does not currently
have an input parameter to pass start./end residue numbers as well
as PDB ID/chain ID (to produce "partial" structure views.)

I have therefore submitted a new feature request (see text of
request below), but if anyone knows of a way to generate "partial"
structure views now, please let me know.

Thanks.

Text of feature request:

I am working with a few members of the SAP community:

https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=972132&tstart=0

to automate production of the "cases":

http://strucclue.ornl.gov/cases/index.html

accumulating here:

http://strucclue.ornl.gov

As you can see from examining any "case" in the case library, a
critical piece of each case is currently provided by presenting two
RasMol snaphots of
partial PDB structures, i.e. structures delimited by a PDB ID,
chain ID, start

residue number, and end residue number.

Rolf Huehne of JenaLib has told me that Jmol doesn't currently
support start/end
residue numbers as input parameters, and he suggested that I make
it a "feature

request" here.

Th anks for any time you can afford to spend considering this matter.
