[josm-dev] Missing ways and additional conflicts

2009-06-24 Thread David Earl
In the current JOSM it's doing two strange things:

- if you download additional data after you have a first area downloaded
(e.g. you pan a bit and need to bring in more stuff), it loses a few of
the ways (sometimes it gets the nodes, so you can see where the way
should be. Search doesn't find them, so I guess they really aren't there
rather than just not being drawn. If you delete the layer and start
again, they do then appear.

- if you've made a change and do a second download which includes that
changed object, you get a conflict. Previously it used to ignore it if
the only differences were the changes you'd made -there would only be a
conflict if someone else had made a change to that object as well.

Confirmed. I first thought someone deleted the way (major street in our
town).

Confirmed. I only saw a difference in the last digit of one coordinate
in the conflict-list.

1609 is five weeks old. A lot of bugfixes have gone in relating to API
0.6, conflict detection and resolution.

Probably Peter means v1690. This is yesterdays version which includes
updates to the merge and conflict
resolution code. I can reproduce David and Peters defects. I'll work on it.

I was using 1690, downloaded today. (Peter may have mistyped the number?)

Ticket is here:
  https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/2774

Unfortunatelly I can't reproduce it. If you have sample data please attach
it to the ticket.
