[jQuery] Re: SuperSubs behaving strangely in Superfish Joomla extension

2009-02-27 Thread yak

Hi oobie,

The problem I'm having is trying to set the min/max setting on the
supersubs plugin. I can't seem to get it right. The drop down menu
seems to be working okay except for one submenu where the length
extends beyond the edge of the display. This doesn't seem to be the
case with the other submenu options. It's almost as if the supersubs
plugin in confused on the min/max setting and applies the maximum
length to only one menu category and associated submenus. It's
difficult to explain so I've provided a link to a picture which
highlights the problem:

Here's a link which shows how the drop down menu should work.

I'd appreciate any advice on getting the min/max setting properly
set. Also, how did you remove the shadow box and set the blue color
on your drop down menu?

Thanks,

[jQuery] Issue with Supersubs plug-in

2009-02-26 Thread yak

Hi,
I have a problem with one of my drop down menus acting erratically due
to a possible conflict with the supersubs plug-in. The highlighted
menu option extends beyond the edge of the display. It only seems to
be a problem with only one of the menu options. The others work fine
and I've tried to delete/redo the problem menu option but to no
avail.

When I deactivate it the menu works fine except that it doesn't auto
resizes to fit the menu option. Here's a pic of the problem:

Here's a screenshot when the supersubs is deactivated:

I got the same problem and would be interested in knowing what the
solution is. Also, if I can't use the supersubs, can anyone tell me
how to readjust the fixed width of the submenu fields using CSS?

thanks.

[jQuery] Superfish

2009-02-25 Thread yak

Hi,
I downloaded the updated superfish 1.4.8 but couldn't install it using
the Joomla install function. I keep getting the error message:
could not find xml setup file in package or unknown archive
file.

Is there a special process to install this mod using the joomla
install function? I downloaded it and also unzipped it but to no
avail.

Any advice that you can provide is much appreciated.

Thank you.

2009-02-25 Thread yak

I'm a newbie and can't install the zipfile superfish 1.4.8 using the
joomla install function. I keep getting an error message stating that
the xml.is missing. Do you have any suggestions how I might be
able to install this file? I'm currently using superfish 1.0 on my
site.

Also, regarding superfish 1.0, do you have any css examples that we
can just copy and paste.this would be a great help to newbies.

thanks,
