Hope this is an OK place to post this message... We're a new startup building an exciting web application that will change people's relationship with their city, their friends and the way they see them both.
We are currently looking for a jQuery master for immediate short term contract work (that could lead to a longer term relationship). To start with, we have a clearly defined and well spec'd javascript component that we need built - something similar to a stripped down (and way cooler) version of http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/. Experience with draggables and resizeables in jQuery will be very useful. Ruby on Rails skills are a bonus, but not necessary. Good communication skills and a professional attitude are also important, as we are a geographically disperse team based in San Francisco, Vancouver and Toronto.
