Re: [ANN] Allaire to Acquire Live Software

1999-06-15 Thread Anonymous

JRun is bad at multi-language market, they never really take care of
non-English plateform
JSP page compile use Jikes to be default compiler?
so silly, Jikes compilercomplely doest support native encoding.
the newest JSP 1.0 parser engine even complete to refuse process document
that are not UTF-8 encoding.
There is NO feature of JRun concern the Internaltionalization.!!

I like JRun, becaure it has many good feature and the is the servlet
technology leader
but seems that they dont care non-English market, I'd like to change to
other product
like IBM Websphpere (at least you cant set your servlet encoding avoid POST
problem)
or Open Source software like Jigsaw or Apache JServ

Congratulations,

I think JRUN is one of the best implementations
of cross platform Servlets I've seen, and Allaire
is one of the best Page Development support companies
on the planet. Excellent combination!

So how soon before we see a real JSP 1.0 implementation?
