masalah ahli di java itu hanya masalah waktu.
kebetulan ada yg tahu lebih dulu, ada yg baru mulai.
mungkin saya termasuk awal belajar java (1996), tapi
karena lama nggak makai lupa lagi.
Jadi masalah bisa dan belum bisa hanya
masalah belajar java dan sering makai java saja, itu soal waktu juga.
Lebih baik yg sudah bisa dan ahli tidak menjadi sombong dan lupa diri.
kata pribasa cina dia atas awan masiih ada awan.

gue ngak setuju sama samuel, cuma ada yang menganjal dalam benak saya, kalau
saya lihat samuel itu sptnya orangnya profit oriented, suka membuka borok

Biarin saja deh orang macam begini. Kita lihat

Kalo di kantor, malah disediain skype, soalnya buat conference, hehe..
IMO, tergantung perusahaannya, process oriented atau result oriented.
Biasanya yang process oriented itu kebanyakan aturan, dateng telat
potong gaji, ga boleh YM, duduk ga boleh sembarangan :P

Kalo result oriented, biasanya cuman pake patokan timesheet. Asal
kerjaan beres, project delivered on time, hasil memuaskan, terserah
karyawan mo jungkir balik di atas meja jg boleh :D

menurutku Java kurang pakem di multimedia dan games saat ini.

direct X 10.1 masih belum ada bandingan nya. kapan yah ada 

teknologi java yg free yang bisa nandingin direct X 10.1

 

aku punya ide. bagaimana kita link semua JUG diseluruh dunia

untuk nego sama sony agar consol game PS 3 software nya dibuat

sama Java? kita semua barisan open source mengembangkan

Dulu gw pernah posting tentang storedproc vs java. Isinya kira2 gini, bila
suatu logic banyak menggunakan komputasi matematis atau data manipulation,
maka, java app akan punya performance jauh lebih baik dibandingkan stored
procedure.

Sebaliknya, jika suatu logic banyak menggunakan data harvesting, query dan

SP tidak scalable, karena kalau ada beberapa SP paralel, tergantung kuat2an
si database. 


kebanyakan SP akan menggunakan cursor, yang katanya bisa 30 kali lebih
lambat dari simple CRUD operation.

pada umumnya dan untuk long-term:
* maintenance lebih mahal/sulit dari membuat (khususnya kalo
programnya dipake terus, hehe)
* mesin (processing power) lebih murah dari manusia
inget lho, "umumnya dan untuk long-term", hehe

jadi utamakan program yang:
1. bisa jalan "cukup" (reasonably) cepat
2. mudah di-mantain
