I upgraded the source, please try this new version.
I attached two screenshots, one from Ubuntu and the other from Win 7. 
Everything seems ok Linux, including OK button.
In Windows 7 there are some problems, "power", "ra>de" and "de>ra" 
buttons are partialy hidden. I'll check a solution on reducing text.

There are some problems in AttributeCalculator layout.
(maybe some were already there before your modifications...).

Here are some screenshots (windows vista 64, a 32bit jre6, current trunk)

1 - first display does not display buttons text

It is strange to see that even with very large width and height, 
button may appear as ...
If fact, you if the whole window is more than (about) 600px, the 
button content disappears.


2 - Some buttons are hidden if the window width is not enough
May be we should have more lines with less buttons on each line


3 - "OK" button is not always visible


There are good tutorials on oracle java web page.
For example, tutorials about layout are at

txt-driver-0.3.0.jar which is included in the PLUS version should do the trick
It cal also be downloaded independently from :
http://geo.michaelm.free.fr/OpenJUMP/resources/drivers/
Actually, it can read/write
[ID] X Y [Z] [Attributes]
[ID] WKT [Attributes]
with optional header line and several kinds of field delimiter

There is also a pirol's csv driver available in the PLUS version. See :
