When You process geodata in the same way many times and You allways need the
same categories in the project it will be useful to work with templates (e.g.
first build your categories and than save it as a project template).

Arnd,
What is the problem with the process you describe :
- create your categories
- save your project as template.jmp
- open template.jmp and save it as myproject.jmp when you start a new
project
The only trap is that you have to save your project as the first time,
otherwise, you'll modify your template.
