[JPP-Devel] Warping tool in 1.52 developments

2012-08-22 Thread Praveen Sinha
Sir,
Warping Dialogue Box was quite OK in V-1.4 but with the developments of
Openjump Version 1.52 the Warping tool has no 'Tie line Drawing'  tool for
drawing a tieline between a location for from point to to point. One cannot use
the DB.

Rectification back to previous version is expected.

Hi Ede,

This regression is related to the work done on EditToolBox (begining of
july).

Open
Tools > Warp > Warping
There used to be a ToolBar on the top of the dialog (still there on July
1st NB), but it is now hidden.

I may have missed PK Sinha's point, but the warping dialog lost its tool

which is easy to check thanks to the many NB available in the download
section ;-).

Maybe PK Sinha can confirm we are talking about the same problem.

Do you mean MeasureTools02 plugin? There is an upgraded version (MeasureTools5)
which works with OJ 1.5.2.
Check the download on this
page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensit/files/Openjump/PlugIn/MeasureExtension/
@Michael and Ede. We can consider to ship this plugin with OJ PLUS, until it
will be integrated into OJ. I hope I can find a solution on this winter to make

The fix is becoming quite complex.
Wouln't it be enough to let original title bar and to add either a
tooltip or a label between the title bar and the buttons ?
Just a suggestion, I let you manage this fix.

Hi,
3.' GRIDCREATOR' of GeoSTAF , in toto is an admiring tool, if possible

nature in New Developments are also admirable.

Both have similar goals, but they complement each other.
I agree that the GeoSTAF grid creator could be included in the PLUS
distribution,

but it would be better to internationalize it before.
I someone wants to take it, there is not much work,
all the source code is in the jar.
It would be better to contact the author (Ruggero Valentinotti)
before, but the licence included in the jar is OK (GPL)

Re: [JPP-Devel] Warping tool in 1.52 developments

2012-08-25 Thread Michaël Michaud

Hi Giuseppe,

Just checked new new version (MeasureTools5). Nice tool.
Would be nice to include it in OJ 1.6 PLUS.
Would it be easy to merge it with Matthias tool ?
Probably not, I'd be interested to hear your and Matthias opinions.

Just noticed a NPE with the geographic Measure line (probably a missing
icon)

java.lang.NullPointerException
at javax.swing.ImageIcon.(ImageIcon.java:181)
at
it.geoarbores.openjump.measure.geographics.MeasureGeographicTool.getCursor(MeasureGeographicTool.java:79)

Best regards,

Michaël

Good morning P.K.Sinha,
> Besides,' Measure02' very useful Plug-in is not mountable since
version OJ 1.5.2.
Do you mean MeasureTools02 plugin? There is an upgraded version
(MeasureTools5) which works with OJ 1.5.2.
Check the download on this page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensit/files/Openjump/PlugIn/MeasureExtension/
@Michael and Ede. We can consider to ship this plugin with OJ PLUS,
until it will be integrated into OJ. I hope I can find a solution on
this winter to make measurements on geographic coordinate system

Hi,
1. You are right, I meant the same as you describe for 'WARP' DB.
2. Besides,' Measure02' very useful Plug-in is not mountable since
version OJ 1.5.2.
3.' GRIDCREATOR' of GeoSTAF , in toto is an admiring tool, if possible
get this plug integrated with new Developments. The tool of similar
nature in New Developments are also admirable.

Thank, I have all praise for the developing team/s on OJ .

Hi Ede,

he writes that it is not working in 1.5.2 which does not have the edit
toolbox changes. i am on the lookout for some time to limit the changes to the
edit toolbox only plus close X button.

I may have missed PK Sinha's point, but the warping dialog lost
its tool bar *after* 1.5.2-r2930 and even *after NB r2942 dated on
july 1st*, which is easy to check thanks to the many NB available
in the download section ;-).
Maybe PK Sinha can confirm we are talking about the same problem.

Sir,
Warping Dialogue Box was quite OK in V-1.4 but with the developments of
Openjump Version 1.52 the Warping tool has no 'Tie line Drawing' tool for
drawing a tieline between a location for from point to to point. One cannot use
the DB.
Rectification back to previous version is expected.

Hi,
Being a geologist, I feel - in my sphere of work, 'Measure05' or its further
developments in 'geographic azimuthal system or angularity measurements' the
tools has important bearing. If this Plugin is mearged with the CORE OJ it will

This will enable the Capture of data been generated in 'traditional method of

Re: [JPP-Devel] Warping tool in 1.52 developments

2012-08-27 Thread Giuseppe Aruta
Hi Michael and Sinha,
I am a geologist, too. So some of these tools were organized for (thoretical)
geological works, for instance "measure azimuth" can be easly used/modified by
survayors to record on maps field datas (strikes, dip, etc) of structures.

I think it would not be difficult to merge it with Matthias tool. Thanks to his
hints I used his own libraries for this version and cleaned up some mistakes
and errors I did on previous developments (I will correct the NPE error)
One year ago I started to study Matthias Advanced measure tools to realize a
similar menu for MeasureTools plugin. But I had to stop for many reasons
(really I stopped giving time to OJ project), I hope I can go back giving time
again on this winter.
Regards

Peppe
