Yeah, We (and some of my customers CTOs) always created parallel Labs. If you think about it, you *should* already have the spare parts required for production, using them in the Lab enabled us to insure: . They are in working condition; . They are readily available to provision production/bootstrap configuration in case of emergency; . We won't take down our world while goofing around =D. [j-nsp] Test Labs
Hi all, Anybody out there integrating production environments (real-time service delivery), test, and development labs into a single architecture? I do not like this idea if it is avoidable. I understand supposed savings, but the cost of an unplanned event negates the implied savings. thoughts? Hi, David Roy made a kind of how to which worked on JunOS 11.4 but only on DPC... Juniper was supposed to provide support for jsim on MPC as of JunOs 13.x David did the spadework for this enhancement and added it in his day one book "THIS WEEK: AN EXPERT PACKET WALKTHROUGH ON THE MX SERIES 3DPacket walkthrough.
