Because eclipse uses SWT, which uses GTK. And a recent update to my Kubuntu, KDE system has suddenly made it not work properly. I don't know if the problem is in GTK, KDE, or the interaction between the two (if any) because I don't really know how they interact. Obviously, KDE does skinning of GTK stuff to make it look the same. Just looking for any or all information, if anyone else has seen this. Something has recently broken, and its not on the Eclipse / SWT side, because they haven't made any changes lately. ___ This message is from the kde mailing list. Eclipse's UI is SWT which has different backends, one of them being GTK+ Given the similar experience with handbrake I bet this one is being used here. AFAIK, eclipse is java based, not kde or even qt, and handbrake gtk based, so why would you be asking about them on a kde mailing list, when as you said yourself, the only kde-based app you mention, dolphin, continues to work just fine? I'd suggest asking on either your distro's lists/forums or possibly those of gtk/gnome, as this wouldn't appear to be kde related at all. -- Duncan - List replies preferred. No HTML msgs. [kde] Trees wont expand / collapse in some apps?
Has anyone else noticed that tree views no longer expand or collapse properly with mouse clicks in some applications? I first noticed this in Eclipse - see this bug for a better write up - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=368297 - but now I have also noticed that it impacts other applications like Handbrake. Strangely, tree views still work properly in Dolphin. ___ This message is from the kde mailing list. Account management: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde. Archives: http://lists.kde.org/.
