[Akonadi] [Bug 340529] KMail/Akanodi always mixes up IMAP folders
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340529 Martin Steigerwaldchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||mar...@lichtvoll.de --- Comment #1 from Martin Steigerwald --- Larx, two questions: 1) What versions of KDEPIM / Akonadi have you seen this with last? 2) Did you by chance delete the database? Or change DB type from one to another, SQLite to MySQL or so? Although Akonadi should be only a cache it is *not* safe to delete the database. You will loose folder assignments that way. Also Akonadi does not migrate the database if you change to another DB type. So you will loose folder assignments on that as well. See: Bug 336581 - accidental database loss causes Akonadi / KMail to silently break correct folder assignments Thanks, Martin -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-solid] [Bug 357951] New: Dolphin and gwenview fails to open Windows Phone 8 MTP
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357951 Bug ID: 357951 Summary: Dolphin and gwenview fails to open Windows Phone 8 MTP Product: frameworks-solid Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: lu...@kde.org Reporter: pepk...@gmail.com CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org When I try to open files stored on Windows Phone 8 or higher device I get error. Only software relying on solid/kio fails. Details: File or directory udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.5 does not exist. Solid is marked as 5.17 It makes interoperations of gtk and qt applications quite a disaster. I can't for example view WP 8+ photos in a Gwenview when using Nemo. Nemo can't share clipboard with Dolphin. There's a bug filled in kio but it's left unanswered. I am posting it here as error shows Solid in path. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get WP8 or higher device 2. Mount it with gvfs capable file manager 3. Try to view some photos from phone 4. Get error in Gwenview Alternatively 1. Mount WP8 or higher device in Dolphin 2. It will scream an error Another option 1. Mount WP8 or higher device with gvfs capable file manager 2. Try to copy files to kio/solid file manager 3. Get wrong URL error in Dolphin Actual Results: Kio capable software fails to use WP8 MTP. It also fails to interoperate with gvfs capable software. Expected Results: My younger sister shouldn't curse linux in her mind ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 357692] Choppy screen and mouse movement with Zoom Desktop Effect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357692 --- Comment #12 from Qbert--- (In reply to Thomas Lübking from comment #8) > Try this on top, resp. to lower the "distance" threshold to other values. Tried lowering the threshold as low as 1 but it still studders on slow mousemovements. Have not tried adjusting the timer. However i expect it to do a single jump when moving the cursor after the timeout. (In reply to Martin Gräßlin from comment #11) > different approach using XInput: https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/126733/ > > I have not tested with zoom effect, only with track mouse to see whether the > mouse updates correctly. It's perfect! Buttery smooth even at insane zoom levels in a way i haven't experienced before. Not on my old compiz setup, on windows at work or on any other window manager. They have all suffered from the same choppy behavour at very high zoom levels due to screen movements mapping to the magnified mousepointers position. This causes studder when the magnified pointer moves lager and larger distances due to the increased size of magnified pixels. I would go for Martins approach unless there are significant drawbacks. Do you both agree? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 357954] New: Sometimes get "unlocking failed" error when using yubikey with static password
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357954 Bug ID: 357954 Summary: Sometimes get "unlocking failed" error when using yubikey with static password Product: kscreenlocker Version: 5.5.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: cnm...@ruggedinbox.com CC: bhus...@gmail.com, mgraess...@kde.org While testing a Yubikey configured with a static password (press a button and the password is automatically typed) over 55 characters, I found that a unlocking the lock screen fails about 50% of the time (10 failures in 20 attempts). This appears to be due to the Yubikey entering characters very quickly (over 55 characters in 1 second) that some characters in the password are not typed into the field. This has never happened when entering the password from the desktop or when logging in for the first time after a reboot. If I copy the password when on the desktop, lock the screen, and paste it into the password field, it never fails. If I hit Enter after getting an "unlocking failed" error without clearing the field and entering it again, it always fails. While testing, I noticed that this seems to happen in streaks - with it failing multiple times in a row, then it being ok for several attempts in a row. Here's the pattern for 20 trials: 2 successful 4 failures 4 successful 3 failures 4 successful 3 failures Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Lock the desktop 2. Use a Yubikey or (maybe) something else that quickly enters a long password to log back in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YubiKey -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

That functionality is known as the "background mode" of Konsole. Previously, a real Konsole survey was done. [plasma-nm] [Bug 357938] offer to create openconnect-VPN without required packages installed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357938 Jan Grulichchanged: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WONTFIX Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #2 from Jan Grulich --- I'm not sure whether there is a way how to check that such NM VPN plugin is installed. This could be solved on packaging level (like we do in Fedora). Basically each plasma-nm VPN plugin is moved to a subpackage with dependency on required NM VPN plugin and when this NM VPN plugin is removed, then also the plasma-nm subpackage is removed and then not offered in plasma-nm connection editor. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357744 Christian Stadelmannchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #9 from Christian Stadelmann --- I'm not running into the crasher you see, instead startplasmacompositor is running fine and actually starts a plasma-wayland session for me. The crash you are seeing is something different. I guess it is an qt issue too. I am running qt5-qtbase-5.5.1-11.fc23.x86_64. If yours is working fine with that version you should probably report a regression to Qt5. My issue itself is solved since I just didn't get the right command line, as you figured out for comment #7. [kwin] [Bug 351700] kwin is frame skipping
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351700 --- Comment #45 from Nikos Chantziaras--- Video now went from borderline unwatchable to actually unwatchable after a KDE Plasma update (going to kwin 5.5.2. I also upgraded my GPU to a GTX 980 Ti. The frame skipping in video is now so extreme, you can see frames flickering back and forward all the time. Doesn't matter if I watch a video with mpv or with Chrome's HTML5 video player on YouTube. It is so bad where I'm now looking at how to switch my system from KDE to something else, after 17 years of KDE use :-( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357893 Jessechanged: What|Removed |Added CC||jesse.dub...@gmail.com --- Comment #7 from Jesse --- JB, the Fusion widget style you showed in your link looks pretty darn good -- quite close to the original Breeze style. If Breeze isn't decided to be the most appropriate default widget style, and Fusion can be set as the default widget style for Kdenlive when using a GTK-based desktop environment, I think that'd be a great option, compared to the GTK+ widget style (which makes the tabs and other widget decor look absolutely awful). If that can be implemented, I think it'd be one step closer towards being able to set a dark theme by default, therefore maintaining the application brand consistency, while keeping a nice aesthetic look and feel for users across different desktop environments. :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 357961] New: Color Picker not working through new transparent layer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357961 Bug ID: 357961 Summary: Color Picker not working through new transparent layer Product: krita Version: 2.9.9 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: color selectors Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kritau...@biketrials.com Krita Version 2.9.9 (git 22f7b3b), 64-bit WIN 7 When a new transparent layer is created above a jpg image, the color picker doesn't work properly until the entire transparent layer is selected and cleared out via the delete key. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Steps for reproducing bug: 1. Open .jpg file (color space doesn't seem to matter) 2. Create new layer (transparent). Select the new layer. 3. Color picker tool is set to "Sample All Visible Layers", and "Update Current Color" is checked. 4. BUG: Attempting to pick a color from the underlying jpg while the transparent layer is selected does not result in any color selection. This occurs both in the color picker tool and when using ctrl+left click in the brush tool. 5. Work around: in the transparent new layer, select all and hit delete. Then the color picker works as expected. Perhaps some default property of a newly created transparent layer is preventing the color picker from working, and the property is getting reset upon deletion??? Actual Results: The current color is not updated. Expected Results: The color picker should have selected the color from the underlying layer containing the jpg image. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[skrooge] [Bug 357197] Skrooge crash after Opensuse 42.1 upgrade

[okular] [Bug 357958] New: Viewport is selected inconsistently when navigating with left/right arrow keys
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357958 Bug ID: 357958 Summary: Viewport is selected inconsistently when navigating with left/right arrow keys Product: okular Version: 0.20.3 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: mr.pastafarian...@gmail.com Navigating with arrow keys aligns breaks between pages with the center of the screen instead of aligning pages themselves. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a PDF file (reproducible with identical A4 pages, untested with others) 2. Enable two-page view mode (reproducible in the mode where the 1st page is paired with the 2nd, 3rd with 4th etc) 3. Enable scaling where pages are adjusted to fit by height 4. Navigate somewhere to the middle of the document by dragging the scrollbar / using the mouse wheel. 5. Press left or right arrow key. Actual Results: Sometimes, instead of fitting pages in the viewport, the break between two adjacent pairs of pages is aligned with the center of the screen. Expected Results: Each time an arrow key is pressed, it works like page up/down, and also aligns the next pair of pages with the top and bottom edges of the viewport (so that the pages fit in the viewport entirely, while the next and previous pair aren't visible). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
