[kdenlive] [Bug 359258] New: 15.13 git master: job queue should use "recording" state icon instead of window play icon

2016-02-10 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359258

Bug ID: 359258
Summary: 15.13 git master: job queue should use "recording"
state icon instead of window play icon
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: wegwerf-1-...@gmx.de

The job queue in the rendering dialog marks the currently rendering job with a
window icon with a green play arrow. This is inconsistent with the tool bar
button for the rendering dialog, which is a "record" icon. I would thus like to
suggest to replace the current icon for the active rendering job with the
record icon that is also used in the tool bar for the rendering dialog itself.

Reproducible: Always

[frameworks-kactivities] [Bug 359244] Activities: When I stop my "Music" activity, I want the music player to stop playing music

2016-02-10 Thread Ivan Čukić via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359244

What music player do you use?

Does it stay in the task-bar, or it shows an icon in the system tray.

BTW, a bit unrelated, if you are using android or blackberry, you can install
kde connect which will automatically stop the music when you answer your phone.

[kwin] [Bug 359251] kwin Effect "Dim Inactive" flickers in steam menus

2016-02-10 Thread Martin Gräßlin via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359251

I don't have steam installed, but that sounds like a bug in steam. A menu
should be an override redirect window and not an actual window which can be
active.

xwininfo probably doesn't work because steam grabs the pointer. You can though
use
xwininfo -tree -root

to get all windows. That way you should be able to find the window and also use
xprop on it (accepts id). If you can get xprop of a steam menu please attach it
to this bug report.

[kipiplugins] [Bug 359257] New: Image size spinbox doesn't allow values larger than 99

2016-02-10 Thread Sergey Salnikov via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359257

Bug ID: 359257
Summary: Image size spinbox doesn't allow values larger than 99
   Product: kipiplugins
   Version: 5.0.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: KMLExport
  Assignee: kde-imag...@kde.org
  Reporter: salser...@gmail.com

By the commit
https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kipi-plugins.git&a=blobdiff&h=a84953bd0ddbd1eafa1bb78869952c6e75f7d5cf&hp=7c65904f7e19d5e2f92b60de694ddc66b385a27f&f=kmlexport%2Fkmlwindow.cpp&hb=3f7e6ddd7f2b451a3519c62ddc0cddc4e749536c
RIntNumInput was replaced by QSpinBox, but QspinBox allows values between 0 and
99 by default. This doesn't allow one to export to KML images larger than 99
pixels. I suppose that maximum value for ImageSizeInput_ should be set
explicitly. As far as I see the maximum value for RIntNumInput was +INT_MAX.

Probably, such fixes have to be done to other files as well.

[krita] [Bug 359255] New: OSX Japanese env: Krita3.0 prealpha assert&crash on startup

2016-02-10 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359255

Bug ID: 359255
Summary: OSX Japanese env: Krita3.0 prealpha assert&crash on
startup
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.0 Alpha
Platform: Mac OS X Disk Images
OS: OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: guruguru...@outlook.jp

When using Japanese UI in OSX, Krita 3.0 prealpha shows assert dialog then
crash.

Reproducible: Always

This happened on my MacBook Air, El Capitan.
Krita seems to be having some resource path issue on OSX when using OSX in
Japanese mode. In past, there were issues like "Krita language setting does
not take effect" and "icons are missing"

To test this issue, I think one can use System Preferences > Language & Region
Preference in OSX. Add Japanese and put it on the top of your language list.

If you don't want to use the icon in the taskbar, you can easily disable it
(right click on the little arrow at the extreme right of the task bar -> Task
Bar settings).
There is no reason why this should be disabled on our side, as we have plenty
of users who do use these controls, so it is highly unlikely we will change
that just because you don't use it :-)

I think you should report this to Opensuse, as it is likely an update causing
that problem. I can't reproduce this as I don't use Opensuse.

To troubleshoot they will need your update history, but really, this is not of
our doing, so please, report it to your distribution. There is nothing we can
do on our side as we didn't change anything in our code.

Git commit bb98418eb0da83257f3adb91baf8630ee808ddec by Sven Brauch.
Committed on 10/02/2016 at 23:27.
Pushed by brauch into branch '5.0'.

fix hinted type appearing repeatedly in unsure type list

The check looking whether a type is already in the list of possible
types for an unsure does not work properly for HintedTypes, because
they create a new IndexedType each (due to different modification
revisions).
When a function declaration was imported from another file, this would
leed to arbitrarily large type lists, since on each parse pass of the
importer an entry would be added but the list was never cleared.

Bug ID: 359251
Summary: kwin Effect "Dim Inactive" flickers in steam menus
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.5.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: effects-various
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: plusf...@gmail.com

when you enable this effect all inactive windows are drawn a little darker. for
normal windows the menu doesnt interact with this effect. -> a menu will not
change the brightness of a window

with steam its differen. every menu will darken the steam window itself. so
this effect let steam flicker in this case.

maybe stem menus arend real menus and are handled as normal windows but i cant
get a windowid with all the known tools -> xwininfo, kwins doalog to get infos

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable the "Dim Inactive" effect
2. start steam (and login)
3. use the menus of steam

Actual Results:
it will flicker with every menu

Expected Results:
steam should stay the same.

[valgrind] [Bug 359249] New: valgrind unable to load 64-bit linux executable linked with -mcmodel=medium

2016-02-10 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359249

Bug ID: 359249
Summary: valgrind unable to load 64-bit linux executable linked
with -mcmodel=medium
   Product: valgrind
   Version: 3.11.0
  Platform: RedHat RPMs
OS: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jsew...@acm.org
  Reporter: dbe...@bloomberg.net

Valgrind seems to be unable to load a 64-bit executable with a large data
section built with gcc on linux if the '-mcmodel=medium' option is specified.
All symbols in messages from valgrind show as '???' and running 'valgrind -v'
shows the error "ELF section outside all mapped regions". Removing the
'mcmodel' option fixes the issue, but is not always possible as it may be
needed in some configurations.

The issue seems to happen if there is a read-only LOAD section in the ELF
program headers.

I am building using gcc 4.8.2 on RHEL 6.4 and testing using valgrind 3.11.0.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

return 0;
}

[Akonadi] [Bug 358329] akonadi keeps loosing caldav calendars

2016-02-10 Thread Grégory Oestreicher via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358329

OK, so there was an issue where the resource couldn't get the calendars on the
previous sync and assumed they've been deleted.

Does this happen when your network connection lags? Or when you're behind a
captive portal and before being authenticated? Anything like that may explain
the behavior, but I've never been able to reproduce it successfully so any bit
of information helps.

[Breeze] [Bug 359248] New: preferences-system in inkscape

2016-02-10 Thread Porfĩrio via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359248

Bug ID: 359248
   Summary: preferences-system in inkscape
   Product: Breeze
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Icons
  Assignee: uri_herr...@nitrux.in
  Reporter: porfirioribe...@gmail.com
CC: kain...@gmail.com

I am using inkscape-gtk3-bzr from arch aur.

When using breeze icons in gtk the main toolbar appears too big, the reason is
that inkcape loads the icon preferences-system and the only size available is
48px, making the toolbar big.

I fixed it on my computer by copying the file to the other sizes directories
and editing the file to match the size

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set gtk theme to breeze
2. Open inkscape
3. Switch to default layout mode

Actual Results:

Hello jonathan, thanks for the report.

It is sadly by itself a bit vague. What could really help us is if you made a
tablet log:
https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#What_if_your_tablet_is_not_recognized_by_Krita.3F

Attach that to this report and we get so much more information on what Krita
thinks you tablet is doing so we can identify the issue.

I found out that if kwin_x11 crashes (shattered screen) I can use the Hotkey to
disable/enable the compositor twice instead of restarting kwin_x11.
Then this image is restored.

This means that it definitly is a bug of the compositor.
Maybe a fullscreen or OpenGL problem?

[akregator] [Bug 359191] aKregator does not honor LC_TIME / date and time in wrong format

2016-02-10 Thread Arek Guzinski via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359191

ok, i see the problem now...

> I saw in your screenshot that all is in english so it's the problem.
yes, it is. and it should be, because, for several reasons, i prefer english as
my interface language. However, i really really hate the US/UK date format,
which is why i set my time to de_DE (btw: yes, i live in germany)

i had a quick look at the dolphin source code, where QLocale is used, which
displays the date the way i want it (dd.mm.). But QLocale does not support
anything like KLocale::FancyShortDate.
As FancyShortDate uses words, it seems to get its locale settings from the
LANGUAGE variable, instead of LC_TIME.

i think the correct way to handle this would be to use LANGUAGE for the words
and LC_TIME for the rest (as, i believe, it was in kde 4) which is, of course,
an issue for the kf5 libraries and not a bug in akregator. I'll file a report
there.

[kdenlive] [Bug 359247] New: 15.13.0 git master - Consider pre-set layouts along with Custom layouts? (mock-ups included)

2016-02-10 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359247

Bug ID: 359247
Summary: 15.13.0 git master - Consider pre-set layouts along
with Custom layouts? (mock-ups included)
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com

One convenient feature for users might be to have pre-set layouts in addition
to the option to customize them? Each user has their own workflow, and the
interface plays a part in that. Also, one LARGE benefit, if layouts are styled
and named after other mainstream editor layouts, is that users will begin to
associate Kdenlive with one of the Big Players in the Film Industry. There's
power in a name, after all.

If this sounds like a good idea, consider having Kdenlive's default layout
(titled "Kdenlive Default"), an Adobe Premiere Pro styled layout (titled "Adobe
Premiere Pro"), A Final Cut Pro layout (titled "Final Cut Pro"), and - possibly
- a Shotcut-styled layout (titled "Broadcast"?... I dunno, seems to give it
purpose). See mock-ups attached for examples.

These wouldn't replace the custom layout feature, but instead have its own
sub-menu in the "View" header menu item. Possibly labeled "Editor Layouts" or
"Program Layout", or just "Layouts"? Making it seem like the primary layout
modification feature will make many users feel comfortable that they're not
responsible for making Kdenlive "how it should be" or "proper", etc. -- they
click, choose, and go. Simple, less work, keeps the focus on editing.

Anyways, for your consideration. :)

Reproducible: Always

Suggested while using Kdenlive 15.13.0 build from git master, Fedora 23 x64,
GNOME 3.18.

[ark] [Bug 359246] New: Ark misidentifies uncompressed GNU tar file with pdf document as first member

2016-02-10 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359246

Bug ID: 359246
Summary: Ark misidentifies uncompressed GNU tar file with pdf
document as first member
   Product: ark
   Version: 15.12.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
   URL: http://arxiv.org/e-print/1312.3844v2
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kdemail.net
  Reporter: roland_wi...@web.de
CC: rak...@freebsd.org

When opening an uncompressed GNU tar file whose first member is a pdf file ark
complains that it does not support the file type because no suitable plugin was
found.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open file

Actual Results:
$ file 1312.3844v2.tar
1312.3844v2.tar: POSIX tar archive (GNU)
$ ark 1312.3844v2.tar
ark.kerfuffle: Mimetype for filename extension ( "application/x-tar" ) did not
match mimetype for content ( "application/pdf" ). Using content-based mimetype.
ark.kerfuffle: Could not find a plugin to handle "[...]/1312.3844v2.tar"

A dialog box opens, saying that the file could not be opened. No suitable
plugin found.

Expected Results:
Ark should show the contents of the tar file.

Interestingly, ark opens the same archive if I compress it with gzip:

$ gzip 1312.3844v2.tar
$ ark 1312.3844v2.tar.gz
$

Also, tar files whose first members are tex or eps files can be opened without
problems.
This could be related to Bug 355955, but here Ark misidentifies the file as pdf
document instead of not identifying it at all and the tar format is different.

[kwin] [Bug 359244] New: Activities: When I stop my "Music" activity, I want the music player to stop playing music

2016-02-10 Thread Christian via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359244

Bug ID: 359244
Summary: Activities: When I stop my "Music" activity, I want
the music player to stop playing music
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.5.3
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: activities
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: gen...@moin.fi

Hi KDE - I'm new to activities, but I like the idea. I've defined some
activities now and put some windows to activities. It's neat that all the
windows of one "running" activity are hidden from view when I click on a window
that belongs to a different activity.
But the "stop" button on the activities doesn't work the way I expect it to.
Use case:
1. I select the "Music" activity and my music player is shown. I click on
"Play" so it plays some music.
2. Now I activate the "Email" activity and the email window is shown, I do
stuff there.
3. Suppose my phone rings. I want to stop the music. So I go to the Activities
manager and "stop" the "Music" activity (that shows as "Used a while ago").

Expected result: "Music" activity is stopped and music stops playing.
Actual result: "Music" activity is shown as stopped, but the music continues
playing. (The music player window is still in the task bar, too.)

Maybe I haven't completely understood activities. But what is the "stop" button
on the activity supposed to do, if it doesn't stop the programs that belong to
the activity (and to no other activity)?

Reproducible: Always

Before this I experienced black screen while working in desktop.
So I tried to move current ~/.kde4 and try to find out, that is the cause by
coping files back over new configuration.
Fixed by removing ~/.kde4/share/apps/kscreen/ directory and restoring all other
~/.kde4 content as it was before.

I should have done a search first on bugs.kde.org. We got a bug report from
one of our openSUSE users that amarok was crashing with musicbrainz. I tried to
reproduce and when the crash happened, I reported it through drkonqi.
Unfortunately drkonqi didn't found any duplicates.

I suspected as much, I just found an m4a file with chapters I can't scroll
either, scrolling in mp3 and other formats works, so this is format related.
It's a proprietary container, might be rather tricky to solve...

FWIW: this was a feature request for Amarok 2.3 already, and never properly
implemented

remedy this? Many users will expect the function of tracks in the timeline to
be as I'd depicted above. I think it's GREAT that the dev's are implementing
this function, and when the time's right, maybe they can take a look at this
and see if it can be improved?

[okular] [Bug 359242] New: Newline is added to a copied header

2016-02-10 Thread Victor Porton via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359242

Bug ID: 359242
Summary: Newline is added to a copied header
   Product: okular
   Version: 0.23.0
  Platform: Debian testing
   URL: http://www.mathematics21.org/binaries/volume-1.pdf
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: por...@narod.ru

In Okular 0.23.2 when I copy (using Text Selection Tool) a chapter header,
newline is added to the copied header at the end.

This extraneous newline is annoying and is misinterpreted by some other
software when I Paste.

Please make not to add newline at the end of copied header.

Example PDF document with this "feature":
http://www.mathematics21.org/binaries/volume-1.pdf

Reproducible: Always
