Thanks for testing. This probably is because we save the text as xml which
strips double spaces. The text tools need rewriting any case.

The problem is in the huion drivers. To quote from a mail we sent to the Huion

supposed to tell the application how the user configured the stylus buttons,

the driver, but it
doesn't expose this info in the Wintab interface. It uses button mapping only
for the synthesized
mouse events, but not in the Wintab packets. "

tempList.count() will be 0, so the "index % tempList.count()" segfaults.
The problem will be that there're > 1 windows (kmail?) when invoking the
tabbox, then kmail crashes and the list turns empty when painting happens.

The entire paint routine of the effect (and likely coverswitch?) isn't hard
against that

=> exit early when tempList.isEmpty()

Why did you apply the fix to Applications/16.04 instead of master?
It's a pain to build a different branch than master. :P

The window only shows if you have alt pressed for more than 90 msec. So if you
do a quick alt+Tab the window is not supposed to show. Is that maybe the case
for you?

I can disable/enable compositing on my Intel system without any problems. It
doesn't mean that it's not a problem in our stack, but it makes it look more
like an NVIDIA problem - especially if one considers the amount of changes in
that driver lately.
