[kdevelop] [Bug 325476] no autocomplete when doing template specialization

2016-04-21 Thread chaitanya srinivas ponnapalli via KDE Bugzilla

--- Comment #2 from chaitanya srinivas ponnapalli

Hi Marcel,

Reproduced the steps. The autosuggestion of the method for the instance of
template class does show up. Made slight change in the way the method was
declared in the template class, by declaring the return type for the method.
This is because as you know, a type specifier is required for all declarations
in c++.

2016-04-21 Thread Christian David via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361876

We can assume that the RDBMS (aka “the database”) is probably not the issue.
The poor performance is caused by the way KMyMoney requests the data from the
RDBMS.

To pinpoint the issue you must use 4.7.2.

Well I don't know what is happening anymore XD

Anyway. I will be using krita3-testing from now on (unless it has major
malfunction), and report the bugs I encountered.

[Spectacle] [Bug 362061] New: Use popular shortcuts for Spectacle for sake of consistency with other environments

2016-04-21 Thread Sudhir Khanger via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362061

Bug ID: 362061
Summary: Use popular shortcuts for Spectacle for sake of
consistency with other environments
   Product: Spectacle
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com
  Reporter: sud...@sudhirkhanger.com

GNOME and Ubuntu use following shortcuts.

Prt Scrn to take a screenshot of the desktop.
Alt+Prt Scrn to take a screenshot of a window.
Shift+Prt Scrn to take a screenshot of an area you select.

Windows also uses same Prt Scrn and Alt+Prt Scrn as above.

I think it would be a great idea if Spectacle also used these shortcuts so that
users who have to use multiple OS and desktop environment feel right at home
when using Plasma.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Set following shortcuts for Spectacle

Prt Scrn to take a screenshot of the desktop.
Alt+Prt Scrn to take a screenshot of a window.
Shift+Prt Scrn to take a screenshot of an area you select.

Thank you! Please update the Krita Lime PPA so I can test them. Krita 3.0
builds are only available for 16.04 so I upgraded to it, but Krita 2.9.11 from
that PPA is not installable as it requires libgsl0ldbl (>=1.9), while Ubuntu
16.04 LTS supplies libgsl2 (2.1+dfsg-2).

[KScreen] [Bug 362058] New: Dual monitor loses settings after screen sleep

2016-04-21 Thread Richard Johnson via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362058

Bug ID: 362058
Summary: Dual monitor loses settings after screen sleep
   Product: KScreen
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: se...@kde.org
  Reporter: rjohn...@kde.org

If I leave my computer until the desktop locks & then the screen goes black,
when I log back in I still have dual monitors. however my config isn't used. It
goes to using laptop display as main display & HDMI as a secondary display.
Weird thing is, it does use the screen positioning portion of the config & the
resolution, just moves bar to other screen & HDMI screen is just black. This
happens every time, so yes it is reproducible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Let screen lock & go black (aka sleep)
2. Move mouse to wake screen up
3. Log in to unlock desktop

Actual Results:
HDMI is no longer primary, laptop screen becomes primary. HDMI screen doesn't
have desktop background settings nor panel, nor right click functions.

Expected Results:
My display settings should be used where HDMI is primary & laptop is secondary.
Plasma panel should be on the HDMI screen & not the laptop screen.

My current work around is after unlocking the desktop log out & log back in.
Everything goes back to normal until the next time the screen goes to sleep.

Application: baloo_file (5.18.0)

Qt Version: 5.5.1
Operating System: Linux 4.4.0-21-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
I was hoping this problem would disappear when upgrading to 16.04 but it does
not. Usually Baloo would crash immediately when I turned my computer on. Now it
takes a few minutes after I log in.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[neon] [Bug 362055] New: System freezes when using up all Ram and Swap

2016-04-21 Thread subdiff via KDE Bugzilla

  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash

Neon dev stable.

On my laptop with 4GB ram, 2GB swap and slow hard drive compiling heavy stuff
fills up all my ram and swap. Then the system hangs (display aswell as input
devices). I observe something similar for multiple seconds after logging in
following a boot and baloo file extractor kicking in.

Maybe we need a minimal free ram value as recommended here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/41778/computer-freezing-on-almost-full-ram-possibly-disk-cache-problem

Reproducible: Always

This bug was closed in 2013 and was about a completely different version.
FWIW: the problem was the phonon backend, not Amarok, and should be fixed with
a newer version of that phonon backend since quite some time. Not reproducible
here with the gstreamer backend and Amarok from git master which is ahead by
several hundred commits of version 2.8. You should maybe try with amarok 2.9.

[krita] [Bug 351059] Krita crashes while using Brush tool, issues with genius tablet driver

2016-04-21 Thread chrisgualo via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351059

So I rebooted the computer. Actually, turned off, disconnected from the
power and then turned on again. Settings were kept! And I made sure I deleted
everything, even from the registry... Could there be some other folders I am
missing?

Results were the same as if I hadn't rebooted. Gonna stick with pre-alpha2 for
the time being. Crashes also happen with git 1f5cdac.

Oh, and here is the crash I get everytime:

Nombre del evento de problema:APPCRASH
  Nombre de la aplicación:krita.exe
  Versión de la aplicación:0.0.0.0
Marca de tiempo de la aplicación:
  Nombre del módulo con errores:wintab32.dll

If it helps, when using MyPaint it doesn't crash, neither do PS, Pencil (no
pressure), Alchemy (no pressure) or OpenToonz. Doing a search on Google for
wintab32.dll, it appears to be not only a problem with tablets but also with
wacom. Or is it a generic name companies use for each of their drivers files?

I wish I could be more helpful. Is this
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=281&t=119719 a way of debugging on
Windows?

Greetings! :)

I don't think that spaces should be a problem, because all my Kdenlive projects
reside in a directory structure with spaces in their folder names.

[krita] [Bug 351059] Krita crashes while using Brush tool, issues with genius tablet driver

2016-04-21 Thread chrisgualo via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351059

Well, I didn't give up and tested all the pre-alphas and the latest release,
because it did seem weird that the first pre-alpha was working with no issues
and yesterday it wasn't.

So, I uninstalled the krita version I had -good old 2.9.6-, tested pre-alpha,
set Dark theme, painted a little, everything went fine, no crashes (only bug is
that Brush panel appeared empty, had to select the drop-down menu and they're
there).

Then started pre-alpha2 to test. Everything worked fine as well, same issue
with the Brush panel showing empty... BUT! It kept the settings I had on the
pre-alpha: theme color and layout (settings I deleted from
AppData\Roaming\krita). Does krita keeps settings on RAM or on the registry?
Yet, no brush crashes on this pre-alpha either.

Now, pre-alpha3... I got several results here (and I do think RAM has something
to do). After clearing the folder on AppData, created new document, tried to
paint and immediate crash. Second try, I could paint, but there was no pressure
sensitivity. Third try, crashed before fully launching (I had the pen right
next to the tablet). Fourth: could paint a little, no pressure sensitivity,
crashed after I switched window to write here and went back to krita.
ALSO: layout and dark theme selected on first pre-alpha were kept on all these
pre-alpha3 tests. Brush styles do show by default, no longer appear empty.

And finally, latest build, krita-master-f38b47e-x64. Again layout and dark
theme are kept. Brushes do not show, have to use drop-down menu. No pressure
sensitivity. Crashed when I tried to paint. Tried to clean RAM using
%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks, and it worked
fined, no crashes, until I came back to the window (and also put the pen away
and returned to the tablet later).

Don't really think it is a driver issue since krita 2.9.6, pre-alpha and
pre-alpha2 do work with it, and it hasn't been updated, right? I'm gonna
restart the computer and see what happens if I open a brand-new
krita-master-f38b47e-x64...

New crash information added by DrKonqi

gwenview (4.14.0 pre) on KDE Platform 4.14.17 using Qt 4.8.7

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was entering fullscreen mode.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
The screen became unresponsive temporarily, and it looked like it was only
partially fullscreen (the image wasn't scaled to fill the screen, but the title
bar and taskbar had disappeared.)

Oh, when you're fiddling with Plasma svgz files, you probably want to clear its
icon cache (all the plasma files in ~/.cache) or else it will continue using
the old ones

2016-04-21 Thread via KDE Bugzilla

This bug will be hard to reproduce. After fiddling with different themes I
somehow managed to get Plasma to use the contents of that svgz file. I could
try and see if I change the contents of that file, if it will update.

You're most likely correct that the icons are part of a Theme, not sure now
whether it was Breeze or Arquetype (nowadays it is denoted as Arquetype Classic
it seems). But the question is; what is reading those themes?

[Akonadi] [Bug 362053] New: Add a "switch" for Akonadi and more

2016-04-21 Thread eemantsal via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362053

Bug ID: 362053
Summary: Add a "switch" for Akonadi and more
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: inf...@openaliasbox.org

Many users don't need Akonadi running all the time; we aren't constantly
receiveng or sending emails nor using any KDEPIM thing, but those 300 - 400 MB
of RAM Akonadi uses would be very useful for the apps we work with most of the
time; when I'm working I'm using 2 or 3 apps, don't want any other "parasiting"
resources nor annoying me with inopportune notifications; I think most peoplpe
who use their computers to work have similar habits. So, it would be nice to
add a few of things to Akonadi:
- A "switch" to turn it off just with a click, an "akonadictl stop/start", but
graphical. It could live in the system tray, for example. Or stop Akonadi after
x time since the last Akonadi dependent program has been closed. This should be
configurable, of course.
- A KCM module to let the users configure if they want Akonadi to be launced by
default when logiin in their sessions or want it to only wake up when they
click said switch. The previously suggested autostart configurator should be in
this same KCM module, I think, BTW.

Reproducible: Always

It's rather surprising that Scalable Vector Graphics can't be scaled using

[kde] [Bug 362050] New: No version information available via interface.

2016-04-21 Thread MK via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362050

Bug ID: 362050
Summary: No version information available via interface.
   Product: kde
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: halfcountp...@gmail.com

This bug report form includes a section which says "copy the version text from
the product's Help | About menu".

I presume this means the "Systems Settings->Help" menu; I am not aware of any
other. However, there are two "About" submenus under that "Help" on this
up-to-date Fedora 23 system. One is "About Systems Settings", which does have
version information available (5.5.5), which obviously does not correspond to
the choices here.

The other one is "About KDE", which has 4 tabs (including one with a link to
this site), that include a number of paragraphs of information, a nice big
mascot logo, etc. but *no where is there any version information*.

>From checking via the system package manager, I would guess the version in
relation to the ones listed above is 4.14.18 (although 4.14.1 is the last one
listed in this form).

I do not understand why System Settings -> Help -> About KDE does not include
any version information that might be useful in, e.g., reporting bugs.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
No version information available.

Expected Results:
A simple, "You are using KDE version n.n.n."

[plasma4] [Bug 267277] configurable delay for autohide/show of panels

2016-04-21 Thread eemantsal via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267277

eemantsal changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||inf...@openaliasbox.org

In KDE/Plasma 5 there's the same design mistake that the oroginal poster
reported 5 years ago: the panel shows up inmediately when you pass the pointer
a couple of milimeters from the bottom border of the screen or you touch the
border with the pointer.
Is a real pain in the ass: when you are moving your pointer by the lower area
of your creen there shows up the panel every now and then, and you have to move
your mouse away, wait for some tenths of second for the panel to hide agan, and
come back with your mouse, but being very careful for not going too near to the
bottom of your screen and make the panel show up again.
I like the idea proposed by Brandon Garlock in december of 2013: not to show
the panel until one really touches the bottom border. Obviously it's not the
unique solution, a simple delay would be another. We can configure delays for
the upper screen border actions (show grid, window, etc), why not for the panel
in the lower one? Is it very hard task? One would not think so, but who knows,
I know nothing about programming; but anyway, I think is a serious important
deffect in desktop "mechanics" design for all those users who like to use all
their screen size and avoid distractions. Please reconsider it.

[plasmashell] [Bug 362049] New: Dialogs don't save user's size settings

2016-04-21 Thread eemantsal via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362049

Bug ID: 362049
Summary: Dialogs don't save user's size settings
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.6.3
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: inf...@openaliasbox.org
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

When a dialog appears, f.e. when you try to open a file with a precise program,
and you right click -> Open with -> Choose application (probably the text isn't
exactly that way, I have KDE in spanish and am translating myself), you will
probably want to increase the dialog's vertical size to see all the categories
and browse without annoyances; or when try to change some folder's icon and go
for the icon selection dialog, by default in the window's size only fit 12
icons, so one will again want to resize it to make it bigger. The problem is
that Plasma doesn't remember that size, so the next time no matter how you
resized them, they will appear the same size than before and one has to repeat
the process.
I know that window sizes can be configured by hand, by I think that should not
be necessary, the dektop should remember the users' settings in regard to this
the same way the file browser remembers which view settings has established the
user for each folder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Resize some dialog window.
2. Do what you wanted t do and close it.
3. Reopen it, the size you wanted has been ignored.

Expected Results:
Dialogs open with the same size we closed them las time.

Since we don't support resizing, we also don't remember a custom size set by
some hack, sorry.

If you're playing around with QML files anyway, you could also adjust the size
of the dialog there.

[krunner] [Bug 352785] Krunner is slow making it unusable

I think this issue is with some plugins. One of the worst is "documents",
which I have had disabled for a long time to make krunner usable. Just tested,
and it is still removing all signs of responsiveness when typing in krunner.

[krita] [Bug 361813] [WACOM] Wacom CTL-460/Intuos Pro Small+Krita 2.9.11: Stylus Side Buttons Not Working with Click-Based Shortcuts

2016-04-21 Thread Doc via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361813

Doc changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||kb.manta@gmail.com

I've had an issue I believe to be directly related to this with the latest
build of the 3.0 Alpha (git f38b47e) on windows 8.1.

I assigned one of my stylus' side buttons to the middle mouse button and one to
right click, but at some point the middle mouse button map stopped working (or
at least Krita stopped responding to it).

I can't pin down what events cause this exactly, but I was actually able to fix
the issue by restarting Krita and/or loading saved files (which worked the
first time). At one point I managed to get the stylus buttons to respond again
and I tried to change the Wacom mapping for the stylus, but Krita seemed to
ignore my changes and stuck with the previous mapping. After a series of Krita
restarts, loading saved files and finally starting a new project Krita
responded to the new Wacom stylus button map.

[digikam] [Bug 355831] MySQL Schema Improvements

2016-04-21 Thread Richard Mortimer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355831

Apart from testing and fixing issues I am aware of the following tasks that
need completing for MySQL support.

1) Test and refine the "Experiment with TagsTree tables" patch to ensure that
it maintains the tags tree correctly.
2) Add a migration script to upgrade existing MySQL databases with the
referential integrity patches.
3) Look at image, album and tag rename, move and delete. The existing SQL
assumes too many magic "0" values and intermediate steps where referential
integrity would be broken.
4) Write unit tests for the various database operations. This should help with
the above steps.

CONSTRAINT ImageTags_Images FOREIGN KEY (imageid) REFERENCES Images (id) ON
DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE,
CONSTRAINT ImageTags_Tags FOREIGN KEY (tagid)
REFERENCES Tags (id) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE,

Without seeing a specific error I cannot tell what the problem may be with

I think the issue here is that the database is trying to use albumRoot=0 to
mark the album as being disconnected/deleted. However with referential
integrity set this now is not allowed.

This seems to be happening in CoreDB::makeStaleAlbum(int albumID)

The lifecycle of stale albums needs considering a little more.

2016-04-21 Thread Dan JR via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354718

Hi Dmitry!

The lag persists.. :(

For me.. the only solution is to overrite the presets. In my presets I
changed 3-rock-shooth.png for 15_texture-rockB.png.

[muon] [Bug 362047] New: Files from properly loaded ppa's do not appear in muon for installation!

2016-04-21 Thread Terry Parris via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362047

Bug ID: 362047
Summary: Files from properly loaded ppa's do not appear in muon
for installation!
   Product: muon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: muon
  Assignee: echidna...@kubuntu.org
  Reporter: stgpar...@yahoo.com
CC: aleix...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org

After adding several ppa's in muon version 5.6.0, the packages for those ppa's
FAIL to load for installation from muon. If you check the sources via muon,
the ppa's are listed. The packages just never show up even if you update the
repositories. This is NOT just muon related. It also happens in
muon-discover. You can still load the ppa packages from the CLI however.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open muon
2.Add ppa either from within muon or via CLI
3.Update muon

Actual Results:
I've added four ppa's. I've checked that they were properly loaded from both
the CLI, muon, and muon discover. ALL show that the sources are listed in the
apt.conf.d folder with appropriate keys. However, every time I open muon or
muon discover, packages from these four ppa's are not show. The following are
the loaded ppa's:

ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
ppa:webupd8team/java
ppa:linrunner/tlp
ppa:videolan/stable-daily

Where I'm not seeing the packages are from webupd8team and grub-customizer
namely.

Expected Results:
What I expect is for packages in properly loaded ppa's to show up in muon or
muon discover.

Discovered running Kubuntu 16.04 LTS in VirtualBox prior to it's release.

[kdf] [Bug 361723] kdf in kf5 does not show all mounted compared to kdf in kde4

2016-04-21 Thread Yoann Laissus via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361723

Sorry for the delay.
As I suspected, KDF probably don't parse correctly your df output.
Anyway, parsing data from command outputs isn't reliable at all. I just start
to port KDF to use Solid and KIO to get devices and space informations. It
should fix all your issues (and a lot of other bug reports).

I'll give you some news in the next days !
