Pop-up happen in the left screen]

Hi, this is a very recent new behavior on my setup with 3.0alpha ( 5bd83323 ) :
all the 'drop down dockers' ( tool options / brush editor / preset selector,
from top panel buttons) now appears on my second monitor. It works in
maximised, fullscreen or windowed mode. I attached a screenshot to show were
appear the 'drop down docker' 'tool options' when I click on the tool-option
button. Other 'drop down dockers' does the same and appear at the same place (
aligned on top-right, on the second monitor ).

Setup: Nvidia proprietary driver, Ubuntu 16.04 , Cinnamon desktop, two
1920x1080 basic monitor aligned horizontally ; main one on right.

Can you make sure it is loaded?

At any rate: We need to fix the workflow where it is missing, so keeping this

[kdenlive] [Bug 361976] 16.07.70 git master - rendering from .mp4 h.264 footage produces large distortion artifacts (video example & sample footage included)

2016-04-21 Thread Evert Vorster via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361976

Hi there.

The settings you have are the standard ones for mp4.
However, the quality setting is set via the GUI. Can you tell me what the
quality setting was? Remember, the quality setting number is "dB of *loss* of
fidelity", so a lower number gives a higher quality output. (Lower loss)

For x264 I don't use any number higher than 18, and for x265 the highest
quality loss I use is 20.

My internet connection is too slow to download your source clip, it would take
more than a week, and I would severely annoy the people I am sharing this
connection with.
So, I can't really see the issues you are seeing. If you can provide a frame
from the original and the same frame from the rendered version to compare I can
maybe be of more assistance.

The only thing I can think of with the information I have is this: Since it's
Blender rendered chances are that you will have very sharp edges in the video,
and these are prone to the compression artifacts from x264. Try a higher
quality setting (lower number)

Kind regards,
Evert

My bluetooth headset BM-8810 is connected and usually can be used as a playback

But sometimes it doesN't work: it can be connected (see 2.png) but cannot be
chosen as a playback device in
Systemsettings/Multimedia/Sound_and_video_settings/Devices as it is grayed out
(see 2.png).
As I experience, it happens after suspend and resume my computer.
After suspend, turn bluetooth off and on is needed to connect the device but
still not connected as an audio device.
I am using KDE4.14.9 on OpenSUSE13.2

Reproducible: Always

[tellico] [Bug 362028] New: CSV import makes edit entry window too wide

2016-04-21 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362028

Bug ID: 362028
Summary: CSV import makes edit entry window too wide
   Product: tellico
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
   URL: http://postimg.org/image/dkfmsf14n/
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: ro...@periapsis.org
  Reporter: maste...@gmail.com

After adding new fields and importing csv file
(http://www18.zippyshare.com/v/MLLgYmOs/file.html) edit entry window becomes
too wide. I'm using video game collection with these standard fields:
Title
Platform
Genre
Publisher
Developer
ESRB Rating
Description
Personal Rating
Cover
ID

And also these new fields:
Gamespot Rating (Simple Text)
Release (Simple Text)
URL (URL)
PS3CFW Compatible (Choice)
Youtube URL (URL)
Ignore (Checkbox)

tellico --version

Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.13
Tellico: 2.3.9

This is on gnome ubuntu 15.10

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Delete some standard game collection fields, leaving only: Title, Platform,
Genre, Publisher, Developer, ESRB Rating, Description, Personal Rating, Cover,
ID,
2. Add these new fields: Gamespot Rating (Simple Text), Release (Simple Text),
URL (URL), PS3CFW, Compatible (Choice), Youtube URL (URL), Ignore (Checkbox)
3. Import CSV File from here: http://www18.zippyshare.com/v/MLLgYmOs/file.html
(use | as delimeter when importing)
4. Open edit entry window

Actual Results:
Edit entry window became wider than my monitor size.

Expected Results:
Edit entry window width should be no wider than monitor width.

Application ALWAYS inserts into tellicorc these settings (besides usual things
there):
[Edit Dialog Options]
Height 900=387
Width 1600=2525

As you see width is > than monitor width for some reason

Hm, let's try to grasp what exact bug you are reporting:

Save playlist button has options, and these options do work, one just has to
stay clicked on the button to make them appear. Not reproducible here on
current git master
You migrated your database, this means the database location has changed, and
with that the links to files in the playlist, no wonder this becomes corrupt.
Normally a full rescan of the collection should get those back for the ones
saved in the database, but I fear not for playlists saved on disk, as they lost
their reference, e.g. the old database.

You exported a playlist from database, into what type of file? There are 4
options, at least one of those should work. If you save them to the standard
location for amarok playlists (on Kubuntu this is
~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/playlists/), quit Amarok and restart it and you will
see all the newly saved items, but indeed those are not loadable, because they
are empty files.

Can I modify the description of the bug to this? Remember, one item per bug,
else this is impossible to handle.

[KScreen] [Bug 361954] Make kwayland backend optional

2016-04-21 Thread Martin Gräßlin via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361954

> If KWin/Plasma 5 will require KWayland

Things which require KWayland as of today:
* mandatory in kscreenlocker - used for private communication between the
daemon and the greeter
* mandatory in kwin - it's a Wayland compositor after all
* mandatory in powerdevil - needed to turn of screens in a Wayland session
* mandatory in plasma-integration
* optional in KInfocenter
* optional in Breeze
* optional in Oxygen

KWayland is just in the progress of becoming a framework, afterwards you can
expect several frameworks to start using it. Good candidates are plasma,
knotification, etc. In some cases it will be optional due to supporting
non-Linux builds, in some it won't.

Please note that KWayland is a library, it does not mean that you have to run
Wayland. If you want to switch the desktop environment because of the usage of
one library, please do so. I consider that as an irrational reasoning. Please
understand that we won't go extra miles to support such choices.

[amarok] [Bug 362018] Export playlist feature in context menu does not add the playlist tracks to the exported file.

2016-04-21 Thread Evert Vorster via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362018

Evert Vorster changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Summary|Saving playlist feature |Export playlist feature in
   |extremely rough... |context menu does not add
   ||the playlist tracks to the
   ||exported file.

My apologies for writing more than one bug in one bug report.

My music collection is still mounted on the same place as always, a playlist on
disk should always point to the music files on the disk. This is the point of
exporting a playlist, right? In theory an exported playlist should be readable
by another application that does not have access to the amarok database.

Bug 1.
Save playlist button - clicking on down arrow does not produce menu of output
options.
Never in a million years would I have thought of holding down the button for
more menu options. Completely counter-intuitive.
Now that I am aware that there is a context menu, I am able to export to xspf,
and this file contains all the tracks on the playlist.

Bug 2.
"Export As" option in the context menu (available with the standard
right-click) on the saved playlists does not actually put any of the songs in
the playlist in the exported file. This is clearly a bug, right?

I suppose the most important bit is that bug #2, so I am going to change the
bug title. (Even though the save playlist feature still requires some polish :)

[amarok] [Bug 362016] Replay Gain buttons greyed out

Created attachment 98494

Screenshot of my configuration

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
It turns out that this is not a bug with Amarok at all, rather it is with my
setup.
I'll document it here just so that anybody in the same situation would be able
to solve it.

I migrated to QT5 last year, but of course a lot of older software still
requires QT4.
So, I had both phonon-qt4-vlc and phonon-qt4-gstreamer installed. Since my
desktop is QT5, I was unable to see/modify the QT4 backend in use. (Which
Amaork picked up as VLC)
So, I just un-installed phonon-qt4-vlc.

Amarok no picks up both PulseAudio (Which has always been installed), and the
Gstreamer backend. (I still don't know which one is being used QT4/5, but I
don't really care.. it works beautifully)

tl;dr - uninstall phonon-qt4-vlc

I'm afraid that this is also a wrong place where to report your problem.
Plasma-nm applet can only activate/deactivate/create/whatever connections
through NetworkManager. The problem you described is in the stack below where
we can do nothing about it. Better place where to report it would be
NetworkManager bugzilla [1].

Fair enough, but I'm curious how distributors (or users even) are expected to
know that which libraries can be trusted to be "properly so-bumped", "follow
any library guidelines", etc...

I'd go so far as say if you cannot guarantee soname compatibility, then some
suggestions to help make that clearer to everyone:
* clearly advertise/document it
* bump soname for *every* release, or even don't use a soname at all
* name the library to make it painfully obvious, ie, use "private" or
"experimental" in the library name

   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.6.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: System Monitor
  Assignee: notm...@gmail.com

In a vertical panel Hard Disk Usage widget draws different partitions partly
overlapping. When the Hard Disk Usage widget is placed in a vertical panel
layout is OK, but after logout and login layout is incorrect. Also if the
settings of the Hard Disk Usage widget is changed (e.g. removing monitoring of
some partition) layout is corrected. The vertical panel is on the right side of
the desktop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place vertical panel on the right side. Place some monitoring widgets to the
panel.
2. Place Hard Disk Usage widget to that panel.
3. Logout and login

Actual Results:
Overlapping text and bars in the widget.

Expected Results:
OK layout.

[kdevelop] [Bug 362037] New: [OS X] frequent "beachballing"

2016-04-21 Thread RJVB via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362037

Bug ID: 362037
   Summary: [OS X] frequent "beachballing"
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: git master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Language Support: CPP
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rjvber...@gmail.com

This is the bug report requested a while back when I asked about the frequent
"beachballing" on kdevelop-devel.

OS X presents a "beachball" cursor when an application hasn't processed the
event queue for a while, as an indication that that application doesn't respond
to user input. This can be an indication of performing a lengthy operation on
the main thread which doesn't call any function that processes the event queue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a large/ish project in KDevelop. The latest example I noticed this with
is KDELibs4Support . I need to add the path to the Qt5 header files in the
language settings; YMMV.
2. Open a source file and start editing code, e.g. kuniqueapplication.cpp ; I
wanted to query an environment variable after setting the multiple instances
variable in KUniqueApplication::start() (using qgetenv).
3 A popup list with functions matching "qset" pops up; I selected (hit enter
on) the 1st entry, qsetenv().

Actual Results:
The application spent significant time doing all kinds of things except
processing user input => beachball.
I was running in lldb, so could generate the stacktrace below.

Expected Results:
No delays; the selected function should be entered within milliseconds and that
should be the end of it.

Stacktrace below.

This situation happens very often, often enough to make using KDevelop5 with
bigger projects quite annoying. There are also times where it's harder to say
if there's substantial beachballing but where reactivity is almost equally
affected by interminable lists of output being printed by the parser.

Just a side comment here.
With the slider now being the default, it's much less confusing. As a possible
UI enhancement, we can either say: "less is better quality" in a tooltip, or
maybe put arrows over the slider:

<== smaller, less quality --- Bigger, better quality ==>
--
|##
   |
--

The way I think about it: The quality number is dB of loss that is acceptable.

Summary says all, requesting a nice breeze sddm theme that do not utilize

Several reasons for this, but the primary one being that currently, sddm
enumeration of users needed for userlists doesn't work well in enterprise
environments with many users or windows domains, freeipa, openldap, etc...

[Akonadi] [Bug 362044] New: akonadi database corrupt after reboot on 15.12 (and 16.04) with mail loss after akondictl vacuum

2016-04-21 Thread kuede via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362044

Bug ID: 362044
Summary: akonadi database corrupt after reboot on 15.12 (and
16.04) with mail loss after akondictl vacuum
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: akonadiconsole
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: kur...@gmx.ch

When starting Kontact it complains about akonadi not running correctly. The
only way to repair seems to perform akonadictl fsck (twice), killing all
akonadi-related processes and kontact and start Kontact again.

All mails are redownloaded again and most folder settings are incorrect.

Running akonadictl fsck results in removal of almost all mails from database
(already completely deleted database, all cache folders and config files and
set-up kontact/akonadi from start; results every time in same behaviour).

Running aconadictl vacuum even completely deleted all mails from an IMAP server
(complete mail loss).

Furthermore: clicking the details button in Kontact (when akonadi is not
working correctly) does not do anything, akonadictl stop or restart don't
result in any output nor stopping or restart. Only akonadictl start works.

Only remaining question for me: Did I forget to delete any data/config/storage
file of akonadi/kontact that might cause this behaviour even after a "almost
clean" install?

My system: Opensuse Leap 42.1, up-to date, using KDE-Applications (now running
16.04).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Having a running copy of Kontact
2. Reboot
3. akonadi stops working

Actual Results:
Kontact does not work (or better: akonadi)

[dolphin] [Bug 362045] New: Running dolphin from CLI (sudo dolphin) shows NO icons (folders, toolbar, or otherwise)!

2016-04-21 Thread Terry Parris via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362045

Bug ID: 362045
Summary: Running dolphin from CLI (sudo dolphin) shows NO icons
(folders, toolbar, or otherwise)!
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 15.12.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: stgpar...@yahoo.com

When running dolphin from the CLI (through konsole for root access), NO (none)
of the icons show up for folders, toolbar, or even the files. ONLY the folder,
file name, or toolbar text shows up. In konsole you'll see a scrolling report
of missing pixmaps. This only happens when running dolphin as root through
konsole. As a normal user, dolphin display is fine. No issues with pixmaps.
Also, there is NO single click navigation of folders or files as root.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open konsole
2.Enter sudo dolphin then type your password
3.Dolphin opens with no icons for folders, toolbar, or files.

Actual Results:
I've tried this several times and had the exact same results with this
application only. Running other applications (namely kate as root from CLI)
does NOT have this issue.

Expected Results:
The only issue I see that I expect to have happened when I opened up dolphin as
root is the proper display of toolbar, folder, and file icons as well as single
click navigation. Otherwise there is NO other issues with this application.

This was discovered running Kubuntu 16.04 LTS in VirtualBox prior to it's
release. Not certain if it will be fixed by the release date. I have also
been able to verify this bug via running as a live usb drive on bare metal.
I've not loaded this OS on bare metal other than to use it as a live usb drive
or in VirtualBox.

[krita] [Bug 362046] New: Boost fails to compile

2016-04-21 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362046

Bug ID: 362046
   Summary: Boost fails to compile
   Product: krita
   Version: git master
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: robbie.bykow...@gmail.com

Following the guide, https://github.com/KDE/krita/tree/master/3rdparty

when I get to the point of compling boost it fails with:

>>> begin log
CUSTOMBUILD : error : msvc initialization: parameter 'version' inconsistent
[C:\krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj]
CUSTOMBUILD : error : no value was specified in earlier initialization
[C:krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj]

Done Building Project "C:\krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj"
(default targets) -- FAILED.

Build FAILED.
<<< end log

I did a bit of searching and came across this stackoverflow
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34293380/specifying-toolset-version-when-building-boost-1-55-with-msvc-2015

I found that the CMakeList.txt had be changed recently including what the
stackoverflow says is the problem. I reverted commit
c0147862c13df225dbc5fe4d65caff99d157a262 "Remove the need to rename boost dll
and lib " and boost succesfully compiled. It appears the toolset variable does
not support specific versioning and requires editing the project-config.jam
instead, so I'm assuming that ext_boost will need to be patched first by cmake
perhaps to force it to use version 14.0

>>> begin from stackoverflow
The previously specified version is in project-config.jam:

using msvc ;

Change it to:

using msvc : 14.0 ;
<<< end from stackoverflow

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compile ext_boost : cmake --build . --config RelWithDebInfo --target
ext_boost

Actual Results:
CUSTOMBUILD : error : msvc initialization: parameter 'version' inconsistent
[C:\krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj]
CUSTOMBUILD : error : no value was specified in earlier initialization
[C:\krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj]
CUSTOMBUILD : error : an explicit value is specified now
[C:\krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj]

Done Building Project "C:\krita\externals\build\ext_boost\ext_boost.vcxproj"

Build FAILED.

Expected Results:
Build succeeded.

[kdf] [Bug 361723] kdf in kf5 does not show all mounted compared to kdf in kde4

2016-04-21 Thread Yoann Laissus via KDE Bugzilla

Sorry for the delay.
As I suspected, KDF probably don't parse correctly your df output.
Anyway, parsing data from command outputs isn't reliable at all. I just start
to port KDF to use Solid and KIO to get devices and space informations. It
should fix all your issues (and a lot of other bug reports).

I'll give you some news in the next days !

[muon] [Bug 362047] New: Files from properly loaded ppa's do not appear in muon for installation!

2016-04-21 Thread Terry Parris via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362047

Bug ID: 362047
Summary: Files from properly loaded ppa's do not appear in muon
for installation!
   Product: muon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: muon
  Assignee: echidna...@kubuntu.org
  Reporter: stgpar...@yahoo.com
CC: aleix...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org

After adding several ppa's in muon version 5.6.0, the packages for those ppa's
FAIL to load for installation from muon. If you check the sources via muon,
the ppa's are listed. The packages just never show up even if you update the
repositories. This is NOT just muon related. It also happens in
muon-discover. You can still load the ppa packages from the CLI however.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open muon
2.Add ppa either from within muon or via CLI
3.Update muon

Actual Results:
I've added four ppa's. I've checked that they were properly loaded from both
the CLI, muon, and muon discover. ALL show that the sources are listed in the
apt.conf.d folder with appropriate keys. However, every time I open muon or
muon discover, packages from these four ppa's are not show. The following are
the loaded ppa's:

ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
ppa:webupd8team/java
ppa:linrunner/tlp
ppa:videolan/stable-daily

Where I'm not seeing the packages are from webupd8team and grub-customizer
namely.

Expected Results:
What I expect is for packages in properly loaded ppa's to show up in muon or
muon discover.

Discovered running Kubuntu 16.04 LTS in VirtualBox prior to it's release.

I think the issue here is that the database is trying to use albumRoot=0 to
mark the album as being disconnected/deleted. However with referential
integrity set this now is not allowed.

This seems to be happening in CoreDB::makeStaleAlbum(int albumID)

The lifecycle of stale albums needs considering a little more.

Foreign keys have already been added here.

CONSTRAINT ImageTags_Images FOREIGN KEY (imageid) REFERENCES Images (id) ON
DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE,
CONSTRAINT ImageTags_Tags FOREIGN KEY (tagid)
REFERENCES Tags (id) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE,

Without seeing a specific error I cannot tell what the problem may be with
rename, move or delete.
