kdevelop Assistant offers to declare the invalid member identifier with the
correct structure types

Reproduced the code given above containing the invalid variable member.
Kdevelop assistant correctly highlights as an invalid identifier. However, it
does NOT suggest either of the following fixes:
(1) Declare void A::member()
(2) Declare private void A::member()

kdevelop rightly suggest that the invalid identifier 'member' should be
declared either as a class or a struct. So, its working fine.

[plasmashell] [Bug 362492] New: plasma crashes on wakeup (4k seiki *TV* display, intel nuc)

2016-04-29 Thread Al Grabauskas via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362492

Bug ID: 362492
Summary: plasma crashes on wakeup (4k seiki *TV* display, intel
nuc)
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: agrabaus...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

NOTE: in "version" above, i left it as "master" because i didn't know how to
answer - if someone can tell me where to look to be more precise, i'll do that.

i have an early seiki 4k tv i'm using as a display - this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-SE39UY04-39-Inch-Ultra-Discontinued/dp/B00DOPGO2G?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

here's a link about 'em that oddly enough may be useful - or not :):

https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/2hunxi/everything_you_wanted_to_know_about_those_dirt/

it's not much of a problem, but i thought you'd want to know, 'cause it's an
imperfection, tho minutes.

when the tv (*not* pc monitor) times out and powers off, every time i turn it
back on and wake the desktop up, there's a plasma crashed dialog. it has
restarted, and the desktop is fine and as i left it. if it weren't for the
dialog, i wouldn't even know it had happened. i have never actually witnessed
said crash with my eyes.

i'd be happy to help debug if anyone wishes and can tell me what they need to
know and how to get it. i'm geeky enough that i can grok and follow
instructions. :)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. see description above.
2. tv display goes to sleep and powers off
3. crash dialog awaiting when it's turned back on and woken up

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
no crash dialog

that's about it.

ask away, if i can help.

Do you mean the backup file (foo.txt~) that is created when saving, or the swap
file (.foo.txt.kate-swp) that is repeatedly updated while editing?
I suspect you're referring to the swap file.
In either case, the behavior is configurable in Settings -> Editor Component ->
Open/Save -> Advanced

I suggest either disabling the swap file, or specifying a alternative directory
on a local filesystem.

I have such method implementation:
void InputTextDialog::slotRadioButtonClicked()
I put cursor between of the brackets and I start typying: "bool", so I in
result I get something like this:
void InputTextDialog::slotRadioButtonClicked( bool )
Cursor is placed after "l" letter in bool word. I get helper "Adapt Signature".
Great, but I didn't write yet parameter name. So I continue typing with: " b".
Helper "Adapt Signature" disappears and don't want to display again - even when
I change parameter name.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
"Adapt Signature" helper disappears when I try to enter parameter name

Expected Results:
"Adapt Signature" helper should not disappear when I try to enter parameter
name

My system is based on: Qt-5.6.0, Plasma-5.6.3, KDE Frameworks 5.21. Antergos
(Arch based) distribution.

[kwin] [Bug 361935] Desktop Effects were restarted due to a graphics reset...

2016-04-29 Thread Thomas Lübking via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361935

This is a misunderstanding - I didn't mean to imply an STR condition by "took a
nap".

glGetGraphicsResetStatusARB (this is part of the robust gl contexts) returns
some error, ie. it *was* reset.

The reset can be caused (anytime) by kwin or not (you didn't provide the exact
warning), but neither the error message itself nor the compositor restart is a
bug and is NOT responsible for causing failures in other GL contexts.
(it *might* induce them, but that's a bug in the driver or the other gl context
- and it's more likely the reset is the direct cause)

[krita] [Bug 362482] New: Crash when creating a document and exiting application

2016-04-29 Thread Scott Petrovic via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362482

Bug ID: 362482
Summary: Crash when creating a document and exiting application
   Product: krita
   Version: git master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: scottpetro...@gmail.com

This crash just started happening to me today on git master on my Windows 10
machine. The crash starts happening right at the "FIx jumping of the mirror
axis handle" commit.

Going back to the "scale imagepipe spray brushes as well" commit makes the
crash go away.

I am not quite sure why the commit might be causing a crash. If I just start
Krita, then close Krita, the crash doesn't happen. It seems there is something
with the document creation that makes it happen.

I tried cleaning and rebuilding on that commit, but that didn't make the crash
stop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Krita
2. Create a custom document (just use defaults settings)
3. Close the application on the top right X (not the document)

Actual Results:
crash

Expected Results:
does not crash

[ksmserver] [Bug 343518] Plasma doesn't restore everything after a reboot

Piotr Mierzwinski changed:

Antergos system with Qt 5.6.0, Plasma 5.6.3 and KDE Frameworks 5.21.0 with the
newest updates on today (writing this message).

None of the tested by me applications are not restored after relogin/restart. I
tested: Firefox, Thunderbird and new Opera. I think all of them are based on
GTK2. All tested by me KF applications (konsole, kwrite, dolphin) are restored
correctly (including virtual desktop number).

In Plasma 5.5.4 (ksmserver probably has the same version) Firefox and
Thunderbird were restored correctly. The problem only was with new Opera. I
tested it on Kubuntu 15.10. In version 5.6, the most likely, it has been
broken. So I don't think so that this is GTK problem. I think this is again
some regression. Second argument it might be ksmserver but is following. I made
some test relying on hardcoding in ksmserver configuration file properly lines
that forced running thunderbird. Result. After login thunderbird has been run.
Unfortunately after relogin thunderbird not run, because during closing the
session my entry has been removed from ksmserver configuration file.
Looking at this situation I wonder are there any regression tests made (by
ksmserver developers) for this case :/. Or maybe here are guilty persons
preparing Plasma packages in Arch/Antergos (this distribution based on Arch
repository). I don't know.

@Wolfgang Bauer
Looking what you are saying: 'I have heard of other users having problems with
Firefox in this regard since upgrading Plasma to 5.6 (or the beta).". I also
other persons also saying about problems, so maybe this is plasma 5.6.x
(ksmserver) bug.
And if for you and for Paolo Carlini it is working then to who should to report
the bug?

I can add that the environment itself is pretty stable. I'm using it couple of
weeks and I didn't observe any crash.

Reboot.

Restart has the potential to be vague (restart what?).
Whereas reboot heavily implies hardware.

I've patched the shutdown strings already. I'll do this reboot one too.

The suspend thing is more of a different issue that I'll leave to the forum. I
think we're at least consistent there.

Bug ID: 362480
Summary: folder view selection rectangle stucks
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.6.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Folder
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: canberk.sonmez@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

In folder view activity, when I draw a rectangle using my mouse, while the
mouse is in motion, when the left button is up, the drawn selection rectangle
doesn't disappear. Even I focus other windows, or click anywhere else on the
folder view, it still doesn't disappear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Push your left mouse button in folder view
2. Move your mouse
3. While moving your mouse, release the left mouse button
If it doesn't occur, move your mouse faster.

Actual Results:
A selection rectangle.

Expected Results:
Selection rectangle should have disappeared when the left mouse button is
released.

If I do those steps, I get the expected results:

1. Push your left mouse button in folder view
2. Move your mouse
3. Stop moving your mouse
3. Release the left mouse button

I use Linux, my distribution ArchLinux, KDE version is 5.6.3.
The same problem also occurs for folder widget.

[ark] [Bug 362479] New: Ark extracts files into wrong subdirectory when subdirectories of same name are present

2016-04-29 Thread Zoidberg via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 362479
Summary: Ark extracts files into wrong subdirectory when
subdirectories of same name are present
   Product: ark
   Version: 15.12.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kdemail.net
  Reporter: el_zo...@gmx.net
CC: rak...@freebsd.org, rthoms...@gmail.com

I have several archives (in that case .rar, but it seems to happen with other
types) which contain 2 directories (e.g. dirA and dirB) with numerous files in
each.
I'd like to extract them into a nested directory structure containing
directories of the same name in a way that Ark writes into the existing
directories:
e.g. /maindir/subdir/ contains dirA and dirB, I tell Ark to extract into
"subdir/" (unchecking the "create subfolder" box).
Instead of extracting the files form archive.rar/dirA into /dirA/ (and dirB
respecitvely), it unpacks both dirA and dirB as subfolders into dirA (i.e.
afterwards I have */dirA/dirA and */dirA/dirB)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Unpack archive with folder structure into directories containing
subdirectory of same name as folders in archive

Actual Results:
Directory structure is extracted not into the chosen folder, but into one of
the homonymous subdirectories inside the folder

Expected Results:
The files in the folders inside the archive should be written into the
respective folders in the directory which has been chosen for extraction,
merging the content of the folders from the archive and the folders from the
extraction target.

Ok I copied the metadata for all applications from edu.kde.org to www.kde.org
(and removed the "parent" attribute since it's not needed on the latter site.
In the process I ended up adding Artikulate, Labplot, and Pairs metadata. I
also added Artikulate and Labplot to the index.json file under "Education"
though I don't see labplot in the 16.04 sources, is labplot an old project that
we shouldn't showcase on www.kde.org ? Also, should pairs be in the list since
we aren't developing or releasing it anymore? I think we should either put
pairs in index.json, or remove pairs metadata completely from www.kde.org. I'm
just not sure which.

Hi Scott,
well you can move selections only if you use global selection mask which then
creates an extra layer for the selection. This is only appearing for selection
layer. Any other layer updates directly when moving it with the move tool. Not
so the selection layer.
You need to hide unhide it then you see its actual position.

2016-04-29 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350752

--- Comment #9 from thatskinnywhiteguy+...@gmail.com ---
I just noticed similar behavior from something outside of JuK. I got alerts
asking for a passphrase. The first happened at a normal volume level; the
second alert was at maximum volume.

I then launched JuK to see if it would still behave the same. I turned it on,
disabled crossfade, started playing a track, stopped playback, and started
another. The volume jumped exactly as it has before.

This indicates that the problem is unlikely to be in JuK itself but somewhere
in the KDE codebase.

it's not a bug at all - kwin noticed that your gpu too a nap and restarts the

it's certainly not related to the other bug but might have a common source: far
too many gl contexts (thanks to qtquick) and the driver not suited for that

Of course it would be nice if it detects VLC playing a video, but thats
probably something to report with VLC developers to tell Plasma to suspend

easily do that).

[Phonon] [Bug 362476] New: No device listed in KCM Phonon, when Pulseaudio is disabled

2016-04-29 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362476

Bug ID: 362476
Summary: No device listed in KCM Phonon, when Pulseaudio is
disabled
   Product: Phonon
   Version: 4.8.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: sit...@kde.org
  Reporter: mathoj...@gmail.com
CC: myr...@kde.org, romain.per...@gmail.com

With Pulseaudio enabled, my audio devices are well listed in KCM Phonon.

But as soon as I disable it, no device appear in KCM. So I can't select a
device for my sound, and as a result, I do not have sound anymore.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Disabling Pulseaudio (autospawn=off) or uninstall it
2. Restarting the computer
3. Opening KCM / Multimedia... -> No alsa device is listed

Actual Results:
When I disable Pulseaudio, my audio devices does not appear in KCM, I can't
have sound working!

Expected Results:
When I disable Pulseaudio, KCM should list alsa devices, I should be able to
select one, and my apps should be able to play sound !

I'm using the gstreamer engine, gstreamer-alsa package is installed.

It has never work since Kubuntu 15.10 and 16.04 (now). I'm not sure for 15.04,
but I'm absolutely sure it has worked in the past. The Multimedia KCM was able
to list devices with or without Pulseaudio !

This bug now begins to have a long life... it should be stopped, as I'm using
my computer for HIFI purpose (Pulseaudio is incompatible with HIFI), so I need
to use my devices directly with ALSA.

I'm not sure if this fixes your problem, but I got the general error failure
reliably using GnuPG2.1 under GNU/Linux. The mentioned commit fixed that.

With 2.0.x I think though that you would have to have the option
"allow-pinentry-notify" in your gpg-agent.conf so this might not be your bug.

The fix mentioned above will be part of the next Gpg4win-3.0 beta, I'll try to
remember to ping here once We've published that so that you may check if this
fixes your issue, too.
