Then:

If you see a process "/usr/bin/akonadi_indexing_agent" it should be good and
will index by itself. May take a while depending on the amount of email you

Hello,

I have not that problem in 2.9.11. I have attached a new image showing what
dialog I am talking about.

That dialog does not pop up in 3.0 beta, so it automatically takes wintab
resolution (I guess) which is wrong, and so the tablet mapping is not right
when I paint.

That said, there were no "scale display" option in systemsettings in this

What must we do to get contact to reindex after installing, or does it do it
itself.
I have just installed and will give feedback

[kmail2] [Bug 354400] In Kmail 5.0.2 autocompletion only shows recent email addresses but not stored emails in Kaddressbook

2016-05-11 Thread Donovan Hoare via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354400

This bug started with 15.04 but got worse with 15.10 but atleast in 15 .10
recent addresses worked.
On 16.04, nothing works but if you start typing a email. then backspace to
begin and start again it will search recent.

testing on 14.04 will not help

[drkonqi] [Bug 362965] New: DrKonqi crashes opening DrKonqi on every crash...

2016-05-11 Thread Andrew Wilcox via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362965

Bug ID: 362965
Summary: DrKonqi crashes opening DrKonqi on every crash...
   Product: drkonqi
   Version: 5.6.3
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: awil...@wilcox-tech.com

If I have a crash (such as bug #362964) that causes DrKonqi to display, and
then click Report Bug, no matter what action I take DrKonqi crashes during exit
with the following backtrace:

Application: drkonqi (drkonqi), signal: Segmentation fault

I cannot report this using DrKonqi due to bug #354564. I guess it's all for
the best, because then it would be a never ending loop.

Clicking Close without reporting the bug does not crash, so there is a way out.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have something crash (not too hard, you can write a simple kf5 app that
calls abort() or such I suppose if you provide a report URL).
2. Click Report Bug in the DrKonqi window.
3. Do anything you want - go ahead and report it, or just click Cancel.

Actual Results:
The application had a segmentation fault with the above stack trace.

Expected Results:
The application should quit cleanly.

It also seems to have gone away after a restart, perhaps this is only an

Several GUI elements are fully invisible but works:

it's not selecting (but it is)
scroll bar and text field are fully invisible (but are present and work)
maybe there are other GUI elements that experience this issue but I don't know

I have no idea, I have just made a fresh Archlinux install and the bug is there
from the beginning.

Actual Results:
Doesn't display stuff

Display stuff

I have just made a fresh Archlinux install.

I tried setting up my config similar to your emailidentities, but I still
didn't see the fault, until I edited my calendar.ics to include the property

X-KDE-KALARM-FLAGS:EMAILID\;30593973

for my email alarm. This wasn't present in my calendar, but I noticed that it
is present in the calendar you attached previously in all but one email alarm.
After adding that property the fault occurred.

I'll need to investigate why your alarms contain that property.

You need a local copy, if you don't have a local copy it means you either have
to
A) have the file in memory forever, which is bad if the file is big.
B) access the remote server every time you need to read the file, e.g.
rendering a new page, which is bad because you create extra traffic and is
dependent on the remote server disappearing.

So a local copy is the best thing to do, no?

(Likely "the driver", maybe QtQuick/QGraphicsScene/View)

* Are other windows affected?
* Multiscreen issue?

The GL context in plasmashell probably "misses" the unredirection (does
resuming the compositor "unfreeze" plasmashell?) and maybe even keeps painting
into an offscreen drawable.

I guess implicit unredirection with mpv is crucial (ie. explicitly suspending
the compositor at some other time by SHIFT+Alt+F12 or implicit suspending for
xterm doesn't cause this)?

Does
   mpv -vo x11 video.mp4
cause this as well?
(it should make mpv use the not so performant software/x11 render path)

Hi Boudewijn,

I have tried the beta channel (krita-git) but the tablet still did not work.
Also, usually xsetwacom does not need to be installed in order for my tablet to
work. The tablet worked perfectly well with Krita on Arch Linux before with the
same package setup :)

I just pushed a change so that if FFmpeg fails to create the audio thumbnail,
we switch to MLT to create the thumbnails. This should ensure that you always
get thumbnails, however this is much slower to create audio thumbs this way, so
I still would love to solve the original issue. Let me know if you think the
thumbnail creation for these files took longer than 30 seconds.

[kmail2] [Bug 362958] New: After update KMail not interpreting Invite Emails

2016-05-11 Thread Craig via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362958

Bug ID: 362958
Summary: After update KMail not interpreting Invite Emails
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: craig.finne...@gmail.com

Kmail doesn't seem to be interpretting Invite emails any longer, it looks to
have started after 16.04.x was released but even after updating today to
16.04.1 it is still not resolved and I cannot find any similar bug reports. I
receive many event invitations regularly and in the past month they only
display the content of the email and not the type Accept/Reject/etc. options as
is typical. These invites are coming from Outlook or Exchange and Kmail doesn't
show any attachments even though when I open the same emails in any other
client it shows the event invitation correctly as well as the invite.ics file,
whereas again in Kmail it does not for some reason. Any ideas on how to get
this back to working order? I've been accepting via my mobile email app but is
a poor workaround of course,

An example is I received an invite from someone on Exchange/Outlook and the
email in Kmail shows:
When: Wednesday, May 11, 2016 1:30 PM-2:00 PM. (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US &
Canada)
Where: Conference Call

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

And that's it, whereas when I check it on my phone app
(Aquamail/Kmail/Gmail/etc.) it shows the proper event invitation as well as the
invite.ics file which does not show under Kmail. Any ideas? Because I don't see
this reported elsewhere I'm wondering if it's an option somewhere or a glitch
added in the past couple updates that I'm missing although all the
compatibility options for exchange/outlook are checked under Kmail Misc
options. Thanks!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive invitation via email (may be just from those originating on Outlook
and/or Exchange)

Actual Results:
Just shows When and Where but no event information/invite.ics file

Expected Results:
For it to show the proper accept/reject/propose alternative time type of
options as well as the invite.ics actually showing (or at least interpreted)

Running the latest via Arch Linux v16.04.1-1 as of today, but also applied to
16.04.0-1 (Kmail shows 5.2.1 on About/Intro screen)

Bug ID: 362957
Summary: Starting pinned applications results in missing icons
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.6.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Icons-only Task Manager
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: chrno-sphe...@hotmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

This seems to only affect the icon-only task manager, and only the pinned
icons. I was able to reproduce it with Konversation, Chromium, deadbeef and
dolphin(4). The application starts fine, but the entry is missing the icon.
Hovering over the entry fixes the icon and it stays displayed until the next
time I start the application.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select "show a launcher even if not running" for any of the applications
listed above
2. Close the application
3. Start the application by clicking on the launcher

Actual Results:
Entry is present, icon is missing

Expected Results:
Both entry and icon are present

I noticed this with 5.6, it was definitely fine on 5.5 There is a similar bug
#362106 but it is NOT fixed for me. Arch linux x64, up-to-date as of yesterday,
nvidia 260GTX w/ proprietary 340xx driver.
