2016-07-01 Thread Umut Özdemir via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364960

Bug ID: 364960
   Summary: I can't create directories
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: excli...@hotmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

Application: plasmashell (5.5.5)

Qt Version: 5.5.1
Operating System: Linux 4.4.0-28-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was trying to create directory from the right click menu. If I create a
directory in my desktop or in Dolphin, I get an error.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

If I try to create a directory in my desktop, without Dolphin, system crashes
and my bottom panel disappears for a moment. If I try to create a directory in
Dolphin, bottom panel don't disappear.

__

I installed dbg and symbols for a better reporting. I get this error from my
desktop. Now I will do the same for Dolphin. I get nearly similar error there.
I create directories from mkdir command for now.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Git commit e8a066d6c9ef8be40a9cf24a6210dda97611feb0 by Jouni Pentikäinen.
Committed on 01/07/2016 at 07:39.
Pushed by jounip into branch 'krita/3.0'.

Fix incorrect offset when loading first frame

When loading the first frame, the keyframe channel and paint device are in an
inconsistent state for a brief moment between removing and re-inserting the
only key. Applying the offset using paintDevice::move(QPoint) would affect
the wrong object (m_data).

Hi Lili,

This doesn't happen for me, so let's see...
What are the specifications of your notebook?
How big is your image?
What is the color model and channel depth of your image?
Is OpenGL enabled?
Is Instant Preview enabled?
Does it make a difference if you uncheck "Enable Progress Reporting" in the
performance page of the settings dialog?

Currently when I hover a button in the toolbar, I get a description of the
function.
It would be nice if also the keyboard shortcut would be displayed in brackets
there so that one can easily see which shortcut they can use for the action.

For example: "Continue application execution (F5)"

[okular] [Bug 364964] New: search function does not recognize spaces within a word

   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: michiball...@googlemail.com

When using the search function and typing "example" it will find "example",
but it will not find "e x a m p l e".
Many OCR software do recognize words written in capital letters as words with
spaces.
Or some just do mistakes.
It would be great if the search function also considers spaces within a word.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. use a document with spaces within a word e.g. "ex ample"
2. try to search for "example" by using the search function (Ctrl+F)
3. it will not find the word

Actual Results:
it will not find the word

Expected Results:
it should find the word

Adobe Reader for example does find words with spaces within it.
Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. When pasting text, click on a session title instead of the command line just
above it.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Session closes (sometimes not the one I was pasting into!), which sucks.

Expected Results:
I should have an easy option to prevent this. It's just too easy to forget to
set "Prevent closing" every time I open a new session.

A very clumsy workaround in my .bashrc:

# prevent yakuake from closing tabs with middle-click (this is a very crude
# solution, runs every time a new bash shell is open)
perl -e 'my $uri="org.kde.yakuake";
my $sess="/yakuake/sessions";
my $list="org.kde.yakuake.sessionIdList";
my $closable="org.kde.yakuake.setSessionClosable";
$sessions=`qdbus "$uri" "$sess" "$list" 2>/dev/null`;
chomp $sessions;
map { system("qdbus $uri $sess $closable $_ 0");
} split(",", $sessions);' 1>/dev/null

Well no... There were conditions before background contrast should be enabled.

- Background Contrast is a plugin for a desktop effect, powered by KWin;
- Then KWin needs to have effects enabled;

The patch above sadly breaks it.

It's a file manager view, not unlike, say, Dolphin (which however also doesn't
allow free icon positioning).

Most of it is written in C++, including the icon positioning code.

(I wrote it, so I think I know what I'm talking about. :-)

Hi Jeff, yes, it is a monkey patch to show KWindowEffects::isEffectAvailable is
not able to work correctly even when the effect plugin enabled. it might needs
a timer or signal/slot mechainsm to monitor the effect plugin enable/disable
status. for example, when the backgroundContrast worked happily in old Qt5 and
plasma framework version, but if disabled the plugin, I have no idea whether or
not checked the status on the fly.

2016-07-01 Thread Jani-Matti Hätinen via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 364967
   Summary: Kmail message list does not remember rightmost column
width
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.2.1
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jani-matti.hati...@iki.fi

I've setup the Kmail message list using the two-row with clickable state style
so that there's no horizontal scroll bar. Every time I restart Kmail, it
needlessly expands the rightmost clickable state column and thus causes a
horizontal scroll bar to appear. I have not modified the clickable state style
in any way.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Adjust column widths to your liking
2. Restart Kmail

Actual Results:
Rightmost column is expanded needlessly

Expected Results:
Column widths should remain as set by the user

--- Comment #6 from Martin Steigerwald  ---
 I can confirm that I see no way to remove an attachment from a mail in KMail
5.2.1 from KDEPIM 16.04.

Yet according to the FAQ there should be one:

> 6.20. How can I remove attachments from messages without removing the message
> itself?
>
>Open the context menu with a right mouse button click on an attachment and
>select Delete Attachment

https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/kdepim/kmail/faq.html#idp54668976

I don´t see this context menu entry when right clicking an attachment.

I´d like to have this feature in order to remove spam mails I attached to an
abuse report. I like to keep the abuse report for reference, but not the spam
mail. As a work-around I can just view source of mail and copy / paste only
headers.
