[plasmashell] [Bug 315488] icon-only task manager groups chrome/chromium web apps with chrome/chromium

2016-11-14 Thread Kai Krakow
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315488

So maybe this should be reopened? Although some of the discussion points into
the wrong direction by saying that explicitly ungrouping applications is the
same - but that is not true...

So alternatively open a new bug report? I'm not sure...

This is the 7th time you are reporting this crash. Please take the advice and
switch the window decoration to Breeze.

Please also stop to report this crash. It is great that you want to help with
reporting it, but we are already aware of that one and it takes me about 1 to 2
min to mark it as duplicate.

I just did the following:

1. switch to Oxygen style
2. open kwrite
3. create window specific rule to force decoration color to honeycomb

Result: decoration turned yellow as expected.

Are your steps the same or are you looking for something different?

I'm surprised that renaming work properly. Typically bqm must process files
only if at least one tool is plug to the queue. If this workflow is
considerated as valid code must be fixed

[marble] [Bug 372377] A slightly more detailed map

2016-11-14 Thread Dennis Nienhüser
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372377

We included a preview (experimental) version in the last stable release
already. The development version has a vast number of improvements though, to
be part of the next stable Desktop release in December.

The same map is used in our Android version "Marble Maps", currently available
as a public beta [1] and scheduled for release end of November (in two weeks)
[2].

Later on we will likely use some of the data from the Vector OSM map theme in
the Atlas map to provide more details and updated data there.

Screenshot of plasmoid

Greetings

I have Kubuntu 16.04.1 and I'm trying to update KDE Connect from the source
file (just as
http://askubuntu.com/questions/817566/how-to-install-kde-connect-1-0-on-kubuntu
).

I have successfully set up the environment for compiling using [this guide from
KDE](https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Build_from_source) and I'm
able to run the cmake to the source files [as you can see
here.](http://paste.ubuntu.com/23478114/)

Then, I proceed to install using checkinstall and [gives this
output](http://paste.ubuntu.com/23478142/) and proceed to reboot to apply the
changes on the kdeconnect, but after rebooting, the plasmoid brings these
errors:

Error loading QML File:
file:///usr/local/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.kdeconnect/contents/ui/main.qml:48:34:

I tried to "debug" starting the plasmoid from terminal, and this is the output:

dguerrero@XPS:~$ plasmawindowed org.kde.kdeconnect

I found PluginChecker in
/usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qml/org/kde/kdeconnect/PluginChecker.qml

root@XPS:~# find /usr/ -name PluginChecker*
/usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qml/org/kde/kdeconnect/PluginChecker.qml

I guessed it shouldn't be there, so i copied it to
/usr/local/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.kdeconnect/contents/ui/

As soon as I copied it there, plasmoid came to life.
Inmediately, I tried to pair my Sony Xperia Z2 (using android app v1.4.4 from
play store) but after a few seconds after paired, disconnects for about minute,
but I'm not sure if that is related with this same problem (hadn't that problem
with 0.8 version and same app).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Purge current packages
2. Compile and install updated source packages

Actual Results:
Plasmoid displayed multiple error messages.

Expected Results:
Plasmoid loaded succesfully and show paired device.

[neon] [Bug 369077] Issues with UEFI dual booting with other Ubuntu OS's

2016-11-14 Thread Roman
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369077

Some more info: After today's update it changed my GRUB menu from one Neon
install to the other. This wasn't possible before with by 'sudo grub-install',
i.e. it didn't successfully install GRUB from the other install (didn't change
the UEFI partition to point to the other install).

That it now changed after the update, means that there is some way apparently
to change the UEFI partition.

Turn PinPortBase into child item

I checked if this it works using the following use cases:
1. Add component diagram
2. Add component
3. add two pins
4. save file
5. load file -> okay
6. delete second pin
7. delete first pin
8. undo both delete -> okay
9 set different color for component and each pin
10. save and reload -> okay

Looks good :-)

11. delete second ping
12. delete component
13. undo component delete
14. undo -> regardless of number of undo the first pin is not restored and need
to be readded manual (may be a different bug)

Running after creating a new file
1. Add component diagram
2. Add component
3. add two pins
4. delete second ping
5. delete component
6. undo component delete
7. repeated undo -> I get Q_ASSERT in CmdBaseWidgetCommand::widget()

[kdenlive] [Bug 372491] New: Custom file for proxy

2016-11-14 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372491

Bug ID: 372491
   Summary: Custom file for proxy
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: anthony.correia71+kdeb...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

As suggested in this thread
(https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=265&t=118361), it would be useful to be
able to pick an external file to be used as proxy.

In case the user manually generates proxy files, he should be able to use them.

The current workaround is to edit the project file manually, but I think this
feature could be built-in.

[dolphin] [Bug 372489] New: when right clicking to select open with dolphin crashes

2016-11-14 Thread pkjdje
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372489

Bug ID: 372489
Summary: when right clicking to select open with dolphin
crashes
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: p...@jaoplusnet.plus.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Often I wish to view files in kate and attempt to use right click menu to open
with then select kate.
However before getting the open with options dolphin crashes.
It seems trying to pick an item in the ópen with´ list (not selecting anything
but moving pointer within the resulting list) causes the crash.
Doesnt enter every time but most of the time.
Possibly happens more once 1 file has been opened this way.

definitely crashes before i get to click on ´open with´ option.

On writing this got it to do so with a report error box after running through
console ;;;
.console messages.

[plasmashell] [Bug 315488] icon-only task manager groups chrome/chromium web apps with chrome/chromium

2016-11-14 Thread Pedro Albuquerque Santos
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315488

--- Comment #38 from Pedro Albuquerque Santos ---
I can confirm that the problem reappeared. It was fixed with Plasma 5.7, and
I'm almost 100% sure that it was still ok as of 5.8.0. However, I have tested
5.8.2 and 5.8.3 and the behaviour just changed back to how it was on 5.6.

What was changed that caused this? And why? Eike Hein seemed to agree with this
change and, as far as I'm aware, he's the one responsible by the Task Manager
component.

Hi, Kubuntu packager here.

The fix has been uploaded to Zesty, the development release, and later tonight,
I'll start the process to get it in Yakkety (16.10) tonight. As far as I
remember, there's a 7 day aging process, but I'll see if there's any way I
could speed it up (but no promises).

Thanks for reporting this!

Renaming a file kills all annotations in it, and reverting back to the old name

2016-11-14 Thread David Rankin

Bug ID: 372486
Summary: kate/kwrite bracket highlight off by 1 set -

   Product: kate
   Version: 16.08
  Platform: Other

Screenshot of Proper Bracket Highlight of Enclosed Parenthetical

kate/kwrite ver. 16.08.3.

The bracket highlight in kate/kwrite highlights the previous set's opening
bracket instead of the opening for the current bracket set. Take for example
the following C code (with the cursor position denoted by the pipe '|'):

if (!(pp = popen (cmd, "r")|)) {

In all previous versions of kate/kwrite the open parenthesis '(' before command
would be highlighted by bracket highlight to show the closing parenthesis just
typed would be closing the set related to the 'popen' command, e.g.

popen (cmd, "r")

This is the expected behavior. A screenshot is attached showing the expected
proper highlighting as it currently works in k3 kwrite.

Inexplicably, the bracket highlight in version 16.08.3 highlights the opening
parenthesis before the assignment when the cursor is in the position shown.
This is unexpected behavior and horribly distracting as the highlight should
not display until the closing parenthesis is on the left of the current
insertion point -- not to the right of the insertion point.

I can confirm the corruption with Amarok 2.8.0-9 on Archlinux. Some of my ogg
files are getting corrupted after being played with Amarok.

I use the "Write statistics to file" option , so I guess the corruption happens
when the playcount tag is updated.

I recently started writing image captions in HTML, for posting to a Piwigo
gallery. This has made editing captions in digiKam a pain.

When initially writing a caption, I can write HTML source code as I expect.
However, if I switch to another photo and then switch back, the "Captions" box
in the right sidebar ("Description" tab) now shows the caption as rendered HTML
instead, making it impossible to edit.

The caption editor should not try to interpret HTML, but instead always show
the editable source code.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370919

mobile-to-desktop and desktop-to-mobile should be in different plugins (like in
the case of notifications), because they are not "symmetrical": a device can
support only receiving keys but not sending keys, so we want to enable/disable
them separately. Sorry if that was not clear in my previous message.

Ideally, as you said, keyboard and mouse should also be different plugins, but
don't worry about splitting them now if you don't want: On the Android side
they are quite coupled so it might be a bit involved to separate them.

[digikam] [Bug 372481] New: Face tag assignment with copy/paste

2016-11-14 Thread Stefano
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372481

Bug ID: 372481
Summary: Face tag assignment with copy/paste
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.3.0
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: AlbumsView
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: rs4...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When you have your tag in clipboard, simply pasting it into the album view "add
face" overlay does not enable the "confirm button", nor the "enter" action. You
have to type something (space+backspace, for example) and then you can submit
with the "enter" key or the "confirm" button.

Ok, then I will

1. split the mousepad-plugin into mousepad and remotekeyboard (new;
mobile-to-desktop) and

2. add the desktop-to-mobile remote-keyboard part to the (newly created)
remotekeyboard plugin.

Right?

This bug was specific for 2.8 and Linux, so your issue is different.

I'm having this problem as well. The brush works fine while in brush settings
using the preview window, but when I go back to the canvas to pain the pressure
sensitivity just isn't there. The pressure may start working for a moment, but
then the brush immediately freezes. If I take the brush out of the canvas then
try to go back in, it'll freeze on the edge. Here is my system info:

Do you use aqBanking (HBCI/FinTS)? If not, you can disable the aqbanking plugin
