https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374193 Bug ID: 374193 Summary: konqueror - view -> Addn'l Info -> size/date will not stay set independently in linked view Product: konqueror Version: Git Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konq-b...@kde.org Reporter: drankina...@suddenlinkmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 103011 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=103011&action=edit attachment 1 - showing config of left/right windows that is lost on restart Version 5.0.97 KDE Frameworks 5.29.0 Qt 5.7.1 (built against 5.7.1) The xcb windowing system When setting konqueror to provide the traditional left (folder) / right (file detail) view, changes to the additional information shown in the left (folder) or right (file detail) windows does not stay set and is not saved in the File -> Session -> Save As, settings. When setting konqueror to look/behave in its traditional (kfmclient Profile filemanagement) or (konqueror --profile filemanagement) configuration, I display the folder list "locked" in the left pane and I want to turn off all "additional information" (all you care about in the navigation pane is the folders). However, I should be able to display the 'size', 'type', or 'date' in the right window and have that setting be persistent between sessions. After configuring to my liking, closing konqueror and restarting and choosing my saved session, does not restore the additional information in only the right side. What happens is all additional information is either 'completely gone in both windows' (if I was turning off the unwanted 'size', 'date', etc in the left (folder) pane, or the additional information is present in both 'left/right' windows (if I last enabled 'size', 'date', etc. in the right windows). This is frustrating as heck to take the time to pick though the setting to configure konqueror so that it provides the functionality that was provided by default setting in the past only to have konqueror lose the setting on restart or on minimize/restore. Attachment 1 shows the way I configure konqueror and save the session. When konqueror is restarted, either 'size', 'date' will be shown in both sides, or will be missing from both sides. This must be fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 374191] Unusable context menu entries in tags view
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374191 --- Comment #4 from Simon --- > caulier.gil...@gmail.com changed: > [...] > "Export" -> The current behavior is correct. Only the current selected image > in > Tag album is exported. It work as main application Export menu. If you want to > export whole tag contents, just select all with CTRL+A before. I understand how to do it using the main view, but I do not understand why a menu entry on the tag behaves this way. If there was an export entry in the context menu on a item in the main view, this behaviour would be expected. However for export on a tag I would expect that export applies to this tag, i.e. the tag album. If this behaviour is not desirable, then this option should either be removed or transferred to the context menu in the main view. To me it makes no sense to select images in the main view, then right click the tag in the left sidebar and select an export tool to export all selected images. I would either use the top menu bar or right click on one of the selected items in the main view. > "Batch Process" -> Fixed... > > Gilles Caulier > As usual, thanks for the quick response! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

"Find Duplicates" switches to the "Duplicates" rider of the "Fuzzy" tab as expected, but does not select the tags previously selected to be searched. This should probably be fixed. "Export" only sends the currently selected item in the main view to the export tool. If this is at all useful, it should send all items belonging to the selected tag(s) to the export tool. Or maybe this should just be removed from this context menu and export goes over selected items in main view and the top menu bar. [ksmserver] [Bug 374189] New: Strange behaviour occurs when my new television is connected via HDMI
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374189 Bug ID: 374189 Summary: Strange behaviour occurs when my new television is connected via HDMI Product: ksmserver Version: 5.8.4 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: l.lu...@kde.org Reporter: xavio...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I connect my television to the computer via HDMI, while my desktop monitor is attached via a DVI cable. This allows me to have them both operational at the same time. I'm sure many other people have a similar arrangement. My previous (generic-branded) television gave up the ghost recently, so I had to buy a new one. KDE had no problems with the former, whereas the latter (Toshiba 40L3650) unfortunately wreaks havoc while logging in and with the lock screen. * https://toshibatv-ap.com/sg/en/models/40l3650/ Specifically, the KDE-launching process takes much longer than usual. I occasionally get a dialog box to say that 'ksmserver' has failed altogether. KDE then works normally, until I (eventually) get to the lock screen. The problem there is that the password field is unable to receive the focus. Clicking on it, or trying to tab my way to it, has no effect. This means I can't enter my password to unlock the system! My only option then is to switch to another terminal and kill the lock screen manually. To get around the problem, I've been using good old 'xlock'. It's far from sexy (by modern standards) but will do for the moment. If I turn the TV off or unplug the cable, both problems go away. I know it's not X11-related, as LXDE logs in instantly with both screens active. Furthermore, there's nothing unusual going on in the X11 log files. FYI, it doesn't matter what 'kscreen' settings I use. Whether the outputs are unified or not makes no difference to 'ksmserver'. Should I be setting some specific monitor settings for the new TV in my X11 configuration file? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

That might have happened too :-) > I'll close this, please reopen if it happens again. I just hit a similar crash (also with the doing pep8 checking and invalid pep8 error line message) editing a different file. Opening the file again lead to a crash, but after deleting the cache, the crash went away... and starting kdevelop again fixed it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

That is weird. It crashed on me reliably every time. But now it does not. I don't remember, but I might have restarted my computer in the meantime which would lead to clearing the ~/.cache directory... I had this setup for 4 desktops, with 3 rows of tasks in the task bar. This ate some desktop space, but I run a lot of stuff. When I choose People and select (a) name(s) for which I have face tagged my photos, only the marked areas of the pictures with the chosen name(s) appear. Under the face tag all the tags applied to the pictures appear. This is confusing. It seems more natural that only the tag for the marked part of the picture appears, or at least that the tag for the marked part of the picture appears first. * Face recognition. Is it possible to deselect marked faces from the face recognition function. Face tags are used to find picture with defined people, but some of the pictures are in such a state that they will only confuse the face regognition algorithms. Is it possible to mark these somehow to reduce probability of confusion ? ** Tags applied to faces could be separated from tags applied to picture when looking at the picture. When we are looking at a picture it could also be nice to separate between tags applied to marked faces and tags applied to the whole picture. [kwin] [Bug 373418] "KDE 2" window decoration is not available in KDE 5
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373418 --- Comment #4 from Alex Ivanov --- @Christoph Feck Thank you for the skeleton example, it's really useful! BTW do you know why 1px adjustements I make look correctly in systemsettings5 preview, but badly on a kwin? Perhaps because of subpixel anti-aliasing? How to disable it then? What I've tried in settings make no difference. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
