When deleting emails from the Kmail inbox, either several (around 5+)
individually, or selecting several, Kmail "hangs" with "Retrieving Folder
Contents Please wait..." 

And in a terminal window, after a akonadictl restart but before deleting
emails:

QProcess: Destroyed while process ("akonadiserver") is still running.
org.kde.pim.akonadicontrol: ProcessControl: Application "akonadiserver" stopped
unexpectedly ( "Process crashed" )
org.kde.pim.akonadicontrol: Application 'akonadiserver' crashed. No restart!

I am not sure if this is related, but there are  numerous duplicated deleted
emails in the Inbox - and running akonadictl fsck and akonadictl vacuum seems
to do nothing. 

I can run akonadictl fsck multiple times and gives the exact came out put in
regard to finding duplicate messages. It doesn't seem to actually clean up the
duplicates so it does not seem to work.

I simply created a new project with the File -> New menu. I actually did not
change anything there.

Settings:
- Video profile:
-- Resolution: HD 720
-- Frame Rate: 30.00
- Video tracks: 3
- Audio tracks: 2
- Thumbnails: (x) Video (x) Audio
- Preview profile: auto

But now that I write that down I see that the "Frame Rate" dropdown has two
"30" entries:
- 30
- 30.00

Oh, when creating a project with "30" fps the project bin correctly displays
the duration.

Now the question is where that "30.00" come from...

I purged the okular Debian package from my system, along with an old poppler
package I still had, leaving only 0.48.  Then I rebuilt okular from scratch
from the git master.  The problem persists.

For the virtual desktops I can choose the number of rows which shall be shown
in the pager, it is however not a pager setting but a virtual desktop setting.

The activity pager also seems to use the settings for the virtual desktops.
That means if I have a one row pager for the virtual desktops in a horizontal
panel I cannot have a one column pager for the activities in a vertical panel.
It would be great if the activities would get own settings for that,
independent from the virtual desktops.

I love Okular is fast and responsive, however, I believe we can tune up the
Annotation colouring system a little bit to make it more user friendly.

For example,
Changing colour:
Current steps (6 Clicks in total just to change colour):
- Right click the annotation
- Click on Properties
- Click on the Colour box
- Select the colour
- Click OK
- And again click OK

My proposed steps (2 Clicks, much simpler):
- Right click the annotation
- Hover to colour menu item from the pop up menu and display the basic and
custom colours directly on the sub menu.

Please let me know if this is a good idea.
I am more than happy to contribute myself.

Akonadi is also not working for me correctly with the same error message in
Kontact. Attempts to start it lead to the following:

The window snapping zones are too small on HiDPI displays with many pixels,
because they use pixel values. You can change this easily in the

There is a problem with your project profile, and I can reproduce the issue.The
project profile has an fps of 30.0003, which is not exactly 30fps. The project
bin uses MLT to translate the frames duration to a string, while the clip
properties use an internal Kdenlive calculation.

Having that non standard frame rate of 30.0003 fps causes a difference of 1
frame between the 2 and gives some unexpected results.

Can you give me more details about how you got that project profile?

Thanks. This solved my problem.  I did the Maintenance options and checked Scan
for New Items and Rebuild Thumbnails.  
However,  during the maintenance digikam locked up (I waited several minutes)
and I eventually killed it using Mac's Force Quit.

Upon re-starting digikam the thumbnails started re-populating and were correct.
 It all seems okay now.

So my problem is fixed, but I did encounter another potential issue with the
maintenance locking up the program and requiring a restart of digikam.

Levels No Channel by control

The Filter Levels doenst have levels by channel, like blue, red or green
modifications, just have a simple RGB Levels, this options it's need to control
normal maps and texture decals with different img on each channel.

You can rebuild thumbnails for all elements in an album via Tools ->
Maintenance... -> Rebuild Thumbnails. In the maintenance dialogue choose
only the album where this video is. AFAIK rereading metadata has nothing
to do with thumbnails.

I run the latest versions available in Gentoo, not stable. I run masked
versions at times to help test. It has been a while since I encountered this.

Presently on 16.08.3

Version 5.3.3 (QtWebEngine)
Using:
KDE Frameworks 5.28.0
Qt 5.7.0 (built against 5.7.0)
The xcb windowing system

I have 16.12.0 built on my dev server just have not installed it yet. Been
running behind desktop on updates. I will update to the latest available ASAP.
I try to stay pretty current, but do keep servers more up to date then
desktops.

Closing is fine, I can reopen if I experience it again.

Oh wow...I literally have no memory of opening this bug.  That said, I do agree
with the person who opened it, now that I've read it.  :)

Hmm; well, primarily I would say that decision may be better left to a UI/UX
expert with a background in color psychology, if you're not just going to pick
one at random from a color wheel.  But since you're asking me, I'll do my best.

In the newest version of Konsole that I'm using is 15.12.3 (as packaged by
Kubuntu 16.04).  In that version, the "activity in an inactive tab" highlight
is a subtle (too subtle, IMO, but that's a personal preference...visually it
looks pleasing but the subtlety sabotages its primary function of attracting
attention) blue tint, maybe this should be a subtle magenta tint?  So it's
kinda the same color, to suggest that the information being conveyed is
similar, but distinct enough that you can tell it doesn't mean _exactly_ the
same thing?

To me personally, the exact color chosen isn't as important as making the app
able to differentiate them in the first place; if I don't like the default, I
should be able to change it with a custom stylesheet as described in the
Konsole documentation:

I am trying 5.4.0 beta (12/31/02016) on Mac OSX El Capitan.  I found an example
where the thumbnail is incorrect for a movie file.  The thumbnail shows a photo
that that is unrelated (a few away on the grid and taken on a different day). 
If I click on the thumbnail it shows the movie file correctly.  All the other
information such as date and file properties appears to correctly represent the
movie file.  The only thing I see that is incorrect is the thumbnail. 
Both are from an iphone6S.  The movie is a MOV in slo-mode and the photo is a
JPG. I have tried other images with the same format and so far only discovered
this one.  

I tried: Item > Reread metadata, which did not help
I moved the file to a new directory which did not help, but noticed that by
doing so the Video Properties were now available, but were not before.

So..
-Is there a way to re-set the thumbnail for a video file? Even a blank
thumbnail would be preferred.
-Reread metadata should do that for video files (not sure it is because the
Video Properties in the Properties Pane did not show up at first.)

I am using Fedora 25, fully updated, using also the kde-redhat repository and
my version of kile comes from http://compsci.cas.vanderbilt.edu/Fedora/local/;
the owner updates kile quite often and I use the src.rpm file to compile it. 

The user menu works correctly; I attach the user menu edit window I get. The
checkboxes are not checked but I do not save it it works as expected.
