[kdevplatform] [Bug 374898] New: Missing command line flag "-u" for the pull command.

2017-01-10 Thread Frank Fischer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374898

Bug ID: 374898
Summary: Missing command line flag "-u" for the pull command.
   Product: kdevplatform
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: mercurial
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: frank-fisc...@shadow-soft.de
  Target Milestone: ---

The git plugin uses the command "git pull" for implementing the pull method.
This command gets new revisions from remote and updates the working tree
accordingly. In contrast, mercurial's "hg pull" merely fetches remote changes
without updating the working tree. Updating the working tree can be done by
adding the "-u" flag to the pull command. (However, I'm not sure whether the
::pull method is supposed to update the working tree, but I think so).

Actually, "git pull" means "git fetch" plus "git merge FETCH_HEAD", so maybe
it's even better to use "hg fetch", but this is marked as deprecated.

The condition `if (localLocations.empty())` in method MercurialPlugin::add
(line 201 in the current master) should probably be `if (locations.empty())`
(as it is in many other methods).

That valgrind log is not very helpful. Can you try again running dolphin in
gdb? Then type CTRL+C as soon as Dolphin freezes, and type 'bt' to get the
backtrace.

Hi,

I already have a review request (https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/129792/) to
fix it using alternative 1)

What I'm saying is that with alternative 1) you open foo.txt, but you get
baar.txt which is the target of the soft-link.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 374896] New: Baloo gets stuck indexing git repositories

2017-01-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374896

Bug ID: 374896
Summary: Baloo gets stuck indexing git repositories
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Baloo File Daemon
  Assignee: pinak.ah...@gmail.com
  Reporter: lukebe...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Steps to reproduce:
1. $ git clone https://github.com/Antergos/Cnchi.git
2. logout/login
3. $ balooctl status
4. $ top
5 $ rm -rf Cnchi
6. $ rm -rf ~/.local/share/baloo/
7. logout/login
8. $ balooctl status

I left my computer with only 3GB of RAM running over night after cloning a
repo. In the morning it was thrashing swap so hard, it was nearly impossible to
use. Adding the repo to the "Do not Search List" was a temp. workaround.

There must be a memory leak in baloo_file_extractor, because it was taking up
nearly all of my systems RAM. It also uses 100% of CPU time.

I have multiple tabs open for vnc sessions and at some point the program
maximizes itself to full screen. Today I have 5 tabs open when I encountered
this. If I click the middle button (top right hand corner) to return to normal
size it does, but then again it snaps itself to full screen.

I fight with it to keep it normal size and always lose. If I grab the top and
pull it down, it will go back to normal size before again bursting into full
screen.

This is really annoying!

[kmail2] [Bug 308444] %OLONGTIME template variable does not yield timezone information

2017-01-10 Thread Matt Whitlock
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308444

Matt Whitlock changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||k...@mattwhitlock.name

Created attachment 103342
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=103342&action=edit
Patch to messagelib that fixes the problem

QDateTime::time() returns a QTime, which conveys no time zone information.
QLocale::toString(const QTime &, QLocale::FormatType) then assumes that the
passed QTime is a local time. This causes a problem when processing a template
in that the time zone information of the Date header in the original message is
ignored, and the time part is then reinterpreted as a local time, which is
incorrect.

Example illustrating the problem:

Original message header:
Date: Sun, 1 Jan 2017 13:31:25 -0600

%OTIMELONG in reply template expands to:
1:31:25 PM EST

QLocale apparently offers no method to format a QTime with a specific
QTimeZone, so the best that can be done is to convert the QDateTime of the
original message into a local time by calling QDateTime::toLocalTime().

After applying this fix, the above example becomes:

Original message header:
Date: Sun, 1 Jan 2017 13:31:25 -0600

%OTIMELONG in reply template expands to:
2:31:25 PM EST

[kontact] [Bug 374723] Kontact crashes...

2017-01-10 Thread Nelson Fonseca
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374723

Hi Christoph, good day,

Yes, I could confirm this case as RESOLVED, the problem was the nouveau driver,
I remove this video driver and installed that one from nvidia and the problem
is completely gone, at this moment I am writing this message from Kontact with
no error at all.

So, I could conclude that I am not going to use this OpenSource driver anymore
instead to use nvidia.

Thanks a lot for your support.

[krita] [Bug 374846] Whenever I try to press 'save as' krita crashes on my file

I actually don't use a linux, I thought I'd selected Windows, but apparently I
didn't. But I really think that overall, it's my laptop that's just dying. It
restarts almost every time I pick it up, and even lately has just started
deleting random files, literally erasing them from existence. I'd try to fix
things with krita, but whenever I try using the latest version my computer puts
glitches into the program such as making random lines appear on my drawing
where I don't want them to be, so I'm mostly using an older version (2.9.9)
since that's the only one that my computer seems to let me use, despite it now
crashing every time I just press 'open' to open files. I'm hoping to get a new
computer in the near future, there really doesn't seem like there's much I can
do at this point.
Anyway, thank you so SO much for sending me the image files of this piece. I'd
spent almost 12 hours on it, so it's such a relief that I'm actually going to
be able to give it to the person who commissioned me. Thank you!!

This still a problem in KMail 5.4.0.

My local time zone is America/New_York. I received a message with header "Date:
Tue, 10 Jan 2017 16:51:49 +". When replying to this message, the template
variable %OTIME expands to "4:51 PM", which is arguably okay, but the template
variable %OTIMELONG expands to "4:51:49 PM EST", which is just wrong. Evidently
the time zone information from the original message's Date header is being
discarded, and the unqualified time is being interpreted as a local time.

Another example: original message contains "Date: Sun, 1 Jan 2017 13:31:25
-0600", but %OTIMELONG in reply expands to "1:31:25 PM EST", which again is
wrong. The time zone information in the original message's Date header has been
discarded, and the time has been interpreted as a local time.

Git commit d06e40bc1e84391640fc56a4c5ba252eaa9dcc6d by Michael Pyne.
Committed on 11/01/2017 at 02:10.
Pushed by mpyne into branch 'master'.

kssl: Ensure user certificate directory has been created before use.

The KSSL KCM (in kdelibs4support) fails to save imported certificates to
the user certificate store, unless the user store directory is manually
created by the user first. Fix by ensuring the directory is created
before trying to save user certs.

Oh okey. Then you misunderstood it. To change the Qt5 configuration, you either
have to use the tools provided by Plasma, or the qt5ct tool.

"Missing icons" refers to themed icons in applications, not modules in system
settings.

[kde] [Bug 374892] New: Allow to disable middle click to paste

2017-01-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374892

Bug ID: 374892
Summary: Allow to disable middle click to paste
   Product: kde
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: clipboard
  Assignee: l.lu...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

There should be an option in Systemsettings > Mouse.
If enabled, middle clicking on text entry boxes should not paste the content
from the clipboard into the text entry box.
Note that the middle mouse button should continue working for other purposes,
for example to close a tab.

This entails all KDE applications, but not necessarily other applications run
on the KDE desktop.

I usually use a different application. The effect to avoid is a completely
transparent background and IIRC this can happen if the application/qt stops
rendering the background since the style tells it not to by setting the
attribute and then QtCurve also stops rendering it since it's the
application/qt's job for non-translucent window. This should only happen for
homogeneous background.

As I said, it worked without problems in KDE 4. I was working with that config
for two years, till I changed to OpenSUSE 42.1 with Plasma. So IMHO is not an X
issue.

[digikam] [Bug 374799] Feature request - ability to convert video files

2017-01-10 Thread Roger Foss
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374799

Well, my take on this is if you want to convert video files, you will probably
want to do it repeatedly, to batches of files. Hence, the BQM. Also once
that's implemented, I can imagine applying other base tools to videos. Ie. amp
up the brightness, add some metadata, enhance contrast. I could see the some
of the same base tools apply to video.

I shall not get too far ahead: I know digikam is primarily a photo management
tool. My point is this: why NOT the BQM?

[QtCurve] [Bug 374224] KFileDialog Options drop-down menu grabs keyboard and mouse with QtCurve style

2017-01-10 Thread RJVB
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374224

Is what you're asking in any way different from launching the QtCurve theme
editor via `kcmshell5 style`, setting menu opacity to 50%, confirming they
indeed become translucent (I had to detach the preview for that) and then
putting the opacity back to 100%?

Flipping back to 100% after starting the app with menu opacity at 50% works on
Mac as far as I can tell. I'll test under X11 tomorrow.

It would be good if this patch was tested on more than a single system before
going in.

I started noticing the freeze after updating to 16.12.0 and then a few days
later, to Qt 5.7.1 . I think I downgraded to see if it was related to the
upgrade but can't remember the outcome of that test. I use the menus involved
only occasionally.

Summary: GREPME MySQLe query failed! (2000)
   Product: amarok
   Version: 2.8.0
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: amarok-bugs-d...@kde.org
  Reporter: tuk...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 2.9

error message (init)

There are other bugs with similar names to this but they are from 2.5 and
Amarok was working fine for me until today so I think this is probably a new
bug even if the error message is similar to others. I am attaching the error
message in question, which mentions '989 error messages", which sounds pretty
grave.

This error message shows when opening Amarok. After closing it the application
still shows up on the tray and looks normal but when I try to play a song it
crashes without further messages or errors.

I emptied the loaded playlist (songs shown on the UI) and when trying to
activate a dynamic playlist I noticed my collection was gone. I am rescaning it
as we speak - it was not marked anymore on the "Local collection" options
section.

Even after the rescan I still can't generate a dynamic playlist. The error
still shows after restarting Amarok. After the restart the options menu
remember the folder I've selected but Amarok still shows "0 tracks" for the
Local Collection view. My view bookmarks are also gone. My scripts are
remembered fine from what I can tell from before the upgrade.

This renders the package completely useless for me. I am going to post this to
Debian as well in case it's their fault in packaging but as far as I can tell
it could be some internal problem as well.

I can't reproduce the crash anymore after I cleared the loaded playlist (from
previous sessions). Playing songs directly from the internal filesystem browser
still cause Amarok to crash though. I'll be attaching the crash output in a
separate file. Both reports were taken via the --debug parameter, with some
personal information removed.

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 374890] New: kscreenlocker_greet freezes

2017-01-10 Thread Christian Muehlhaeuser
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374890

Bug ID: 374890
   Summary: kscreenlocker_greet freezes
   Product: kscreenlocker
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: greeter
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: mue...@gmail.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, mgraess...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

kscreenlocker_greet tends to freeze on my Arch system pretty much every time it
becomes active for a while. I have a hunch it might be related to me adding a
secondary keyboard layout - it might just be coincidence though.

Killing the process relaunches it and I can enter my password to unlock the
screen again.

Never mind, I found this as a new option under project configuration, under
"Language Support", "C/C++ Parser". Setting the parser profile to C++ 14
resolves this.
