[krita] [Bug 375031] New: Assistant Tool > Ruler upgrade

2017-01-13 Thread Rafal
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375031

Bug ID: 375031
Summary: Assistant Tool > Ruler upgrade
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.1.1
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tools
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rafal.trash...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When you place one dot and then move (mouse, pen) to place second one, it would
be great to have the ruler and infinity ruler mesaure the distance in pixels
and show it on fly. This way i could use ruler to place exactly same lenght
lines.
That would be great help.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 337685] SFTP: Filesystem expose doesn't work

2017-01-13 Thread Colin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337685

Colin changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||colinnkee...@gmail.com

I don't know if this is the same error or not. KDE Connect used to work for me
to browse files on my Android 6.0 security patch 10/5/16 "R1 HD Blu" (bought
from Amazon). Now, it doesn't respond when I click to browse from the systray,
and gives the following error when I try to browse from Dolphin:

Internal Error. Please send a full bug report at http://bugs.kde.org. No such
method 'mountAndWait' in interface 'org.kde.kdeconnect.device.sftp' at object
path '/modules/kdeconnect/devices/7a8d2fffdd56459/sftp' (signature '')

I am able to control the mouse pointer on my computer using KDE Connect on my
phone, but even if I control the mouse pointer to open Dolphin and browse "Blu"
it still gives this error.

[kgpg] [Bug 375029] New: decrypting files via GUI can delete files permanently

2017-01-13 Thread Aaron Wolf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375029

Bug ID: 375029
Summary: decrypting files via GUI can delete files permanently
   Product: kgpg
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@opensource.sf-tec.de
  Reporter: wolft...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

While command line stuff with gpg is fine, using the action menus in dolphin is
highly problematic.

* I have a png image encrypted as file.png.gpg
* I use "view file decrypted" in action menu in dolphin
* Kgpg tries to open the file as plain text *and* deletes the encrypted file
* I can close the useless text encoding window that opened and find that the
whole thing is gone.

In my experience, this is really frustrating. It affects GUI things like using
a dolphin menu to encrypt or decrypt. It can fail to do anything because kgpg
is already running in the background. It doesn't then even open the dialog for
the encryption process.

Re-opened as this bug is still present in the latest 5.4.0 version (16.12).

This bug is extremely easy to reproduce, can we please only close bugs when
they're fixed and not because the software gets version bumped - thanks :)

my finger works fine for paining, but not my pen on my surface pro 4. It is far

[frameworks-kcoreaddons] [Bug 361426] Crash in KIconLoaderPrivate::findCachedPixmapWithPath and KSharedDataCache

2017-01-13 Thread Michael Pyne
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361426

I've looked at this and similar bugs quite a few times in the past few years
but have not had any luck in reproducing the crash or otherwise narrowing down
the issue.

You mentioned that it crashed with Kate... in theory that shouldn't matter much
since even if the icons changed, the cached icons would not have. Clearly
something is still causing a crash though. :(

I'll try again to see if I can reproduce the crash, or at least to investigate
alternatives to the current lock that may be more resilient (e.g. switching to
the spinlock by default, or seeing if pthread "robust" mutexes might help).

helpful ;) There are many PC affected to this (~50% of PC I administer), which

 Component: BatchQueueManager
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org

Edits in the batch queue manager are not recognized by the versioning in
digikam so that you in turn have duplicates in the album view after apply
changes in a batch fashion. Unlike in 'editing' new versions here end with '_1'
in the file name not 'v1'. A bug I guess?

Similar problem from another user here ->
https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?69327-Kontact-Doesn-t-Provide-AM-Times

However trying the same workaround of setting a different Timezone from the
actual location (how can this be good?) doesn't actually work either because
setting Timezone's don't stick in KDE5 either.

Judging by the lack of response to this bug in nearly a year I'd guess that
no-one is seriously using this software anymore anyway :(

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

So I have my Volume Step set to 1%. And it usually persists between reboots,
but sometimes it resets to 5%. I can't seem to find any correlation with
anything that may be interfering.

Sorry if the selected component is wrong, I'm just guessing it's the related
one since its a sound module.

My port slightly differs from yours. Maybe it's helpful for completion.

Hi,

I've searched for "Nanquen" in all the Catalan translations for KDE domain
(https://websvn.kde.org/), but there isn't such string.

This string doesn't appears in recent Catalan translations for grub
(http://translationproject.org/domain/grub.html).

Could you provide more information about your system? Distro and version.
Where I can find a copy of this package (grub-theme-breeze)?

Thanks,

This is still valid in 5.4.1. The buttons work as intended, but the tooltip is
misleading. I can't come up with a good one, however. "Enable/disable bullet
list" doesn't fit either, because you can also create sublists with this
button, like this:

  * A
* A1
* A2
  * A2i
  * B
  * C
* C1
...

On unindented text, it makes the current line a list item of a new list. On a
list item x, it increases the indentation/nestedness level by one if it is
preceded by a list item whose level is at least the level of x.

A context-sensitive tooltip could help here. "Make list item" for unindented
text; "Make sublist item" for already indented text. Something like that. The
"decrease indentation" tooltip would have to be adapted accordingly.

Okay, first I tried to go the normal way by choosing the plasma Wayland session
in sddm. Doing this results in a stuck laptop after a minute and I have to hard
reset.

My second way was to go into tty2, stop sddm and run startplasmacompositor.
Wait some time and then I switched to tty3 and executed the following command
"DISPLAY=:0 plasmashell". After running the last command my laptop hangs again
and I have to hard reset.

I hope that explains better what I have done.

I am on arch with baloo 5.29.0 and have the same situation.
Actually, this is happening a long time ago (if I'm correct, I encountered this
issue no latter than 2015).

I believe another bug report #356474 also refers to the same issue.

One more detail I should mention:

Since I have filenames with both Chinese characters and latin characters, when
searching with the full filename, only the latin part is considered by
baloosearch (the result contains other files which also have the same term as
the latin part)

e.g.
The result of `baloosearch abc測試` is the same as `baloosearch abc`.

I think many people just turn baloo off because of the cpu consumption when
indexing (which could take quite a long time as you all know) so they may not
be aware of this issue.

dirk, we need more information to be able to find the problem. Things you
usually give when reporting a bug:

* What does not start? How did you notice?
* Did you observe some unusual behaviour other than your application not
starting? Maybe some error messages? A crash handler that popped up? Those
usually give useful information for developers in the form of stack traces.
* What version of the relevant components do you have? In this case we probably
need the KMail version.
* What did you do when the problem occured?
* Does the problem occur every time? Was it only once? Or does it happens
sometimes, but not always?

Is there any chance you could try to reproduce this with a recent version of
KMail? Recent versions start with "5."; sad to say that the 4.x versions are
basically unsupported.

According to Bug 364903, this also does not work for "equals" or anything else
instead of "does not contain". Basically, it is always treated as "contains".

The message viewer is obviously quite important for an MUA. There are some bugs
reported for the message viewer component of kmail2, but there's no such
component in bugzilla.

Please add it with the following description:

[digikam] [Bug 375019] New: Error updating scheme from digikam 4

2017-01-13 Thread Rafael Rios Saavedra
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375019

Bug ID: 375019
Summary: Error updating scheme from digikam 4
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.4.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Database-Migration
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: rafael.rios.saave...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,
I usually use digikam 4.14.0 from the kubuntu 16.10 packages but today I
decided to give a try to digikam 5.4.0.
I am using digikam 5.4.0 packages from philip5 ppa.

When I launched digikam5 it asked me to upgrade the database. I am using a
mysql server 5.5.52 backend from my NAS server. In the process of updating the
schema it reported the following error:

Error messages: "QMYSQL: No es posible ejecutar la consulta" "Specified key
was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes" 1071 2
Bound values: ()
digikam.dbengine: Error while executing DBAction [ "UpdateSchemaFromV7ToV8" ]
Statement [ "ALTER TABLE DownloadHistory MODIFY COLUMN filesize BIGINT;" ]
digikam.coredb: Core database: schema update to V 8 failed!

The complete log is in the attached log file.

[kmail2] [Bug 335255] Quicksearch: non-alphanumeric characters in search term are ignored at word boundaries

2017-01-13 Thread Denis Kurz

   |"***" |at word boundaries
 Ever confirmed|0 |1
 Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED

Interesting... Using the filter term "/)(}{CMake>=[)( for
\/{}*[]…download:-)(<>=" still lists the message with subject "[ANNOUNCE] CMake
3.7.2 available for download". Replacing "CMake" with "Make" or "CMak", or
"download" with "ownload" or "downloa", however, does not yield any results.
Using "fo" or "or" instead of "for" does not make a difference, because words
with less than three letters are ignored.

Summary:
"*ABCDE" matches "ABCDE"
"ABCDE*" matches "ABCDE"
"*BCDE" does not match "ABCDE"
"ABCD*" does not match "ABCDE"

The last two cases might be especially confusing if you are used to certain
regular expressions.

Obviously, only special characters at word boundaries are ignored. I'm pretty
sure that most users would not expect this behaviour. Confirmed for 5.4.1.

According to RFC 5322, section 3.6.2, the Reply-To header indeed contains an
"address-list". It should be specified in the composer like any other
address-list too, instead of an actual comma-separated list in the existing
Reply-To text field.

[okular] [Bug 373855] Forward search/named_destination feature not working anymore

I looked through the issue, the problem is that there's a safe-guard so that
files containing a # in the name won't be misinterpreted.

Example. Something like:
"okular /.../my#document.pdf"
Shouldn't be opening the document "my" with a tag "document.pdf".

I don't know who or why it was done.

Now you are passing a tag with a dot in it, so the code thinks you're passing a
document named: "mypdf.pdf#page.3" with "3" as an extension.

Now if you ask me, the weird thing is that we're taking into account the
possibility of a file with a # in its filename, but then I barely have
experience in the area.

that is supposed how it shall work however it's not working like that in here
...

good news are, that it's easily to reproduce at least for suse users (yes I
know, I should report it also to suse bugzilla), you just install suse with its
defaults (spill some weed around the enter button and let some poultry do the
job because only you do is hitting next->next->next ), install stardict and
you have it reproduced ...

ps. and thansk for your support on irc :)

I can only find mailing list messages where the reply-to field is set to the
mailinglist address, so I cannot test this myself. Doesn't matter, though,
since you obviously know what you're talking about. I set it to confirmed.
