I also confirm this behaviour:

1. When a contact is created in kaddressbook, it appears automatically in
google contacts.
2. When a contact is modified in kaddressbook, changes aren't propagated to
google contacts.
3. When a contact is added or modified in google contacts, it is not sync in
kaddressbook.

Summarizing, upload sync works partially, download sync doesn't work at all.

My system:
Opensuse 42.2
kaddressbook 5.3.0
KDE Frameworks 5.26.0
Qt 5.6.1

Small font size

In the Windows version of Lokalize, there is no "Lokalize Settings" dialog, to
change the font size, ...
The only way to increase the font size is by ctrl+mouse wheel, that works only
with the source textbox (since it's readonly).
The target textbox doesn't allow to change that, which makes reading the text
harder for the eye.

Clicking the network icon in the right side panel pops a half-visible network
window up - in the second screen

I run a panel on the right side, with a number of applications (I guess, as
many do, though not necessarily on the right screen edge).
All pop-ups at mouse over show in the wrong location, or don't show at all.
Mostly, they pop up on the second screen, instead of next to the panel. They
did, with a similar setup, in Plasma 4.

As explanation, find my attached file. It is a screenshot of both screens.
Mouse-over doesn't do anything, it needs a (double)click for the widgets to do
something. Some don't do anything. The network applet does, and places the
window half visible into the second screen. 

I can't go back to Plasma 4, alas, though these things get on my nerves.
Especially those apps that I can never reach again once they are icons on the
panel. Since clicks and even double clicks don't pop them up, I can't restore,
neither quit.

The window title changing shouldn't be a problem as long as the WM_CLASS
remains stable, which it does. BTW - it seems I have newer software:

xprop shows that NET_WM_NAME and WM_NAME changes after i enter the password and
unlock the database file.

While it's clear that opening up TCP/UDP1714-1764 would provide access in, it
would also be useful to have some way to connect across a VM in NAT mode.

Perhaps, if when the Android client goes into "Specify IP address", the client
could try to connect to whatever that NAT-Only address, instead of using the
UDP broadcast address.

I realise this is pretty fluffy and non-specific and probably pretty niche, but
it is something I would like to use! :)

In project/projectmodel.cpp the method iconNameForPath(...) looks up the icon
name for a file by its mimetype. But then it caches the icon name by the file
extension, which breaks for all files with name extensions which are not only
used with one mimetype.

So if there are e.g. both a CMakeLists.txt and a README.txt file, whatever file
is handled first defines the icon used for the other, due to both sharing
"txt".

The fix was in plasma-framework rather than Folder View (it's in the Plasma
default tooltip code), so it will come when you update to the next Frameworks

Set wrapMode to Text.WrapAnywhere.

Summary:
Means long main texts don't get truncated. One of the main uses
for tooltips is to show full text for things that are truncated
in the usual UI, so this is a bad default.

Using global QWidgets is not supported. The destructor will be called after the
application has already been destroyed. Please make the menu a child of some

I'm sorry, but KWin is not the component at fault here. It is not 
responsible for the drawing in a window, it only sees the complete 
rendering result of the complete window.

My suggestion would be to try the proprietary NVIDIA driver.

Am not sure of the exact naming of these things, so apologize if not using the
correct naming to describe the problem here.

# Short description: (Kate Version 16.12.1)   
Options for a command in bash are not colored if the first letter is capital;
the letter after hyphen. In a hyphen separated word, the second part of the
word and the hyphen are colored (interpreted as option/argument).

# Steps to reproduce:
1- Go to Settings >Configure Kate >Fonts & Colors >Highlighting Text Styles
>Scripts/Bash >Scroll down to Option >Change color to #ff007f
2- Open the attached example script in kate.  
3- See also the screenshot.

# Expected result:
- Hyphen separated words shouldn't be treated as arguments/options.
- Options starting with capital letters are also options.

I created a database now and it's set to reopen it, but I still don't see the
problem (although I could kind of see how this could cause similar behavior to
Chrome ... which nevertheless should be fixed anyways ...).

Ok, i will try to attach xprop output later...
as for keepassx, it happens only if it is set to open database on startup. if

Trigger: In this concrete situation, I had an unsubscribed folder on the server
side and created a new folder with the same name on the client. However, there
are other triggers two such as in Bug 371570, Bug 323844, or in situations
where a local folder is created in offline mode and another folder is created
on the server side on the same time. 

Proposed Solution: 
It seems to me, that the above described situation is not avoidable in all
cases. Therefore, Akonadi/IMAP Resource must handle such situations. I would
like to see some type of merge/rename dialog in this case, that allows to
rename the local/remote folder or merge the content of the folders. 

The minimum solution would be to notify the user about an inconsistent state,
because the inconsistent state is dangerous and can cause data loss, if the
user is unaware that mails/folders are not synced to the server anymore and
still uses the instance.

Text which exceed list size in French

In some languages, here French in the screenshot, the string exceed the list
size. It may be simply be written without “de la corbeille” (“from trash”), but
it seems better if we can simply remove the weird tabulation of the drop-down
list, so that any translation which is a bit longer than the English one is not
cut.

Yes, I can confirm that this is a bug, and it is a very annoying one.

And to add the information from the other thread:  It is not related to being
only one image, it is just ignoring (any?) changes after the initial start.

I can confirm this bug. It's still appear with kscreenlocker versions 5.8.3 -
5.8.5.

The decision about what needs root is done by polkit. Using polkit's defaults,
mounting an
* Internal hard drives needs root

* External hard drives does not need root
This is on purpose.

On Mac OS X, with Qt Creator 4.2.0, the clazy warnings don't show up in the
"Issues" tab, nor in the "Compile output" tab.

My /home partition is encrypted using dm-crypt. It gets unlocked on login with
the help of pam_mount.

kwallet-pam doesn't work with this setup. I followed the wiki to set SDDM up in
the required way:

Still, I need to enter the password to unlock kwallet after I login to the
system.

I've checked that this problem is indeed caused by
dm-crypt-encryption/pam_mount. If I unlock my home partition by logging my user
in to, say, tty2, and only after that use SDDM to login to a KDE Plasma
session, then kwallet-pam works correctly, and I don't have to enter my
password to unlock kwallet upon login.

My guess is that kwallet-pam tries to unlock kwallet too early in the login
process, before pam_mount finishes unlocking the encrypted /home partition.

I use a fully updated Archlinux x64 system. Package versions:

Some more background to this.

Turns out that most cheap external USB/SATA/firewire enclosures don’t properly
issue a stop command to the drive when you flick the power switch. Instead, the
power switch simply cuts power to the drive, which forces the drive to do an
emergency head retract. If you think that sounds bad, you’re right. Emergency
retracts aren’t going to brick your drive immediately, but if they occur
regularly they’re putting a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on the drive. In
fact, some drives monitor how often this happens with S.M.A.R.T. attribute 192.

He had exact the same backtrace as Stefan in 373697
(attached anwyay)

and enforcing DRI3 did resolve the issue. Despite using an Intel driver not an

Open Configuration is always grayed out on the menu

The fix was generic and not specific to Chrome/Chromium, so if it happens for

Seeing error even when code compiles fine.

With new clang-based c++ support, all my 'try's are underlined with a pop-up
stating that I "cannot use 'try' with exceptions disabled". The build system is
setup to allow exceptions, so the code compiles fine, but it still shows up in
the "Problems" area.

Running Kdevelop 5.0.3 on Windows 10.

Progress bar stuck while program is idle and ready to be used.

The progress bar on Windows Kdevelop 5.0.3 gets stuck after loading a project. 

Running on Windows 10.

Graphical example where there's no "copy url" button

Version fo the package: 16.12.1-1


I can't locate a "copy url" button after exporting the image to a image hosting
service. 

I can do CTRL+INSERT, but it's not obvious and I accidentally copied the delete
URL twice before realizing how to do it. This option isn't so obvious.

I file a bug report because I'm not sure if it's a bug of some kind:
* I'm using a version of the software and there's a newer one with this fixed.
* The package of my distro is faulty.
* Other issue.
