[plasmashell] [Bug 375781] New: Plasma freezes while performing slow file operations
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375781 Bug ID: 375781 Summary: Plasma freezes while performing slow file operations Product: plasmashell Version: 5.7.5 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: bo...@discosucks.it Target Milestone: 1.0 This could be a duplicate of #351897, but it seems to be just a similar bug. When performing slow file operations, the plasma panel (and so the system) becomes completely frozen and unresponsive. How to reproduce: 1. Create a network share somewhere 2. Mount that share over a slow network 3. Open dolphin, try to copy a local file to that mount (sometimes just browsing the mount is enough) 4. Plasma is now frozen until the copy/file operation is done (it could take minutes) What I would except to happen: I would expect plasma to stay functional regardless of running background operations -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 374009] Spectacle keeps hanging my system
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374009 Michael Schoonmaker changed: What|Removed |Added CC||msch...@gmail.com --- Comment #6 from Michael Schoonmaker --- This is happening to me too. I'm using the latest version of plasma on Arch Linux. For the past few weeks, anytime I try to take a screenshot with Spectacle, something odd happens. I'm not actually %100 percent sure what is happening, but the taskbar at the bottom of the screen stops responding, and I can't alt-tab to another window. The computer seems to freeze for a minute, and then I am logged out. This happens every time I try to take the screenshot, usually after it actually takes the screenshot and while I am trying to export the image to imgur. This only happens when I click "Take new screenshot". I can start up spectacle and use the screenshot it takes when it starts up any way I want with no abnormal behavior. However get_elf_symbol_info() passes the following to it: ML_(find_rx_mapping)(di, (*sym_avmas_out).main,// lo (*sym_avmas_out).main + *sym_size_out); // hi Causing the debuginfo reader assert horribly when the last symbol ends precisely on the text segment end. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375770 Bug ID: 375770 Summary: Creating tag from left panel causes error Product: digikam Version: 5.4.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Tags Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org Reporter: forgivenb...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When using the left panel 'Enter tag here.' field to create a non-existing tag on multiple selected images, the following error dialog box happens: |Tag creation Error |An error occurred during tag creation: |Tag Path Error |Earth2 Tag name already exists And then the following apply dialog box: |Apply changes? |You have edited the metadata of XX images: |-caption |-tags |Do you want to apply your changes? |Always apply changes without confirmation The second error (Apply changes) happens when one or more images are selected. The first (Tag creation Error) and second (Apply changes) errors both happen when more than one image is selected. It seems when multiple images are selected during tag creation, the tag is trying to be created for each individual file instead of created for the first and selected for the rest. It seems there may be two separate issues here, the 'Tag creation Error' issue and the 'Apply changes' issue. If selecting a pre-existing tag does not cause the apply changes dialog box, then creating a new tag should not cause the apply changes dialog box either. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375681 --- Comment #3 from Evan Teran --- Yea, this one is tough because I can see both implementations as being reasonable. As a programmer, I would expect a value of 0777 to be interpreted as octal no matter what ... because it is an octal number by convention. But you may a good point, and not everyone is a programmer. Perhaps a compromise would be to prefer using the current mode, but if that produces an invalid number (like 0x12345 in decimal mode), then fallback on the current behavior. I dunno, I'm not sure if I love that either :-/ Certainly, it is possible to make this a configurable option. So maybe that's reasonable. I'd been a while since I have been terribly active in kcalc, so bear with me while I get a bit reacquainted with the source :-). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375767 Bug ID: 375767 Summary: In Editor switching between pictures with left/right key is reversed ! Pic 1 of 80 is displayed as 80 of 80 ! Product: digikam Version: 5.4.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: ImageEditor Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org Reporter: mailto.mi...@gmx.de Target Milestone: --- I use Manjaro KDE latest version 4.4.41-1-MANJARO and since the last Digikam update it seems viewing Pics in the Editor is reversed: In preview I see for example Pic 1 of 80 in a folder and with the left-right keys I can switch back and forth. Normally I dont use preview mode instead with "Enter" I directly go to Edit mode and then the picture suddenliy is not 1 of 80 instead its 80 of 80 ! So pressing right key doesnt work because Digikam thinks its picture 80 of 80 but in real its picture 1 of 80!. Pressing the key left however shows the next picture but it says picture 79 of 80. In real its picture 2..; Somehow in Editor the picture sorting is reversed. Sorting is set to "date" and "ascending" order. I dont see a setting for this behaviour but so its almost unusable because I'm used to go back and forth from the pic I entered the editor. Spacebar also works reversed...normally it should forward to the next picture. Now its going backwards ! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
