[kate] [Bug 378178] New: Kate ignores some xkb keys associated with the right alt key
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378178 Bug ID: 378178 Summary: Kate ignores some xkb keys associated with the right alt key Product: kate Version: 16.04 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: part Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: jakub.macha...@nejremeslnici.cz Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 104767 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=104767&action=edit xkb definition file for modified Programmer Dvorak layout Kate ignores some xkb keys associated with the right alt key. I have attached an example of a custom keyboard that doesn't work properly in Kate. Kate ignores all the following: Left, Right, Up, Down, BackSpace, Home, End, nobreakspace (and probably a lot more) According to https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-36565 this used to be an issue in Qt but it should now be fixed. As stated by Igor Kushnir, this is probably a bug in Kate. A clear explanation on why it is not working can be found here: https://superuser.com/questions/801611/how-to-make-all-applications-respect-my-modified-xkb-layout/844673 . I have spent considerable amount of time searching for suitable workarounds but none worked with the right alt key. This bug is not present in Kate 3.13.3 but it is present in 16.04.3. I'm not sure about other versions. The bug is extremely annoying, considering you have to move your right hand away from its standard position just to move the cursor. I tried to create my own keyboard shortcuts to fix the problem but Kate doesn't accept any combination that includes the right alt key (it's just ignored). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378164 Jack changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ostroffjh@users.sourceforge ||.net --- Comment #3 from Jack --- Create an empty file ofx.log in your home directory. If that file exists, then everything returned by the OFX interaction will be put in that file. Be careful, it will contain username and password. Minor question - are you sure the account you are mapping SHOULD show up? Some institutions require some specific setup before they allow OFX downloads. Some even require a fee, even though it is uncommon. Another unlikely possibility - what is the account type at the institution (and what other account types do you have there) and what type of KMM account are you trying to match? Final question for now, why do you need manual setup? Is the institution not on the list that is presented for automatic connection? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 378032] Remember history of notifications like on KDE4
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378032 --- Comment #8 from Ural --- The list of problematic apps may be big. Devs didn't implemented 'persistent' by spec, because in KDE4 all was persistent. Someone use Evolution, someone Claws Mail, Thunderbird, qTox, uTox, toxic, pidgin, etc. So just adding a checkbox per app 'Persist notifications' will solve the issue. You can check thunderbird, qTox or any other app and be happy. And don't wait while developers will implement 'persistent' notifications by spec. [kaffeine] [Bug 374693] kaffeine does not tune into some dvb-s channels
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374693 --- Comment #11 from Mauro Carvalho Chehab --- (In reply to juliushar from comment #10) > On the VLC side (version 2.2 stable), when exiting VLC before the line > > if (ioctl (d->frontend, FE_ENABLE_HIGH_LNB_VOLTAGE, &val) < 0 && val) > > in function > > int dvb_set_sec (dvb_device_t *d, uint64_t freq_Hz, char pol, > uint32_t lowf, uint32_t highf, uint32_t switchf) > > in file > > modules/access/dtv/linux.c > > , kaffeine will fail with many channels as mentioned. But when exiting after > that if block (its actually rather this line which is relevant), kaffeine > will work nicely. > > (in which area of the kaffeine code source does such functionality belong > to?) Let me try to understand it better. This ioctl sets the LNBf voltage to what's there at "val". If zero, it sets to 13V; otherwise to 18V: if (ioctl (d->frontend, FE_ENABLE_HIGH_LNB_VOLTAGE, &val) < 0 && val) You're saying that exiting just after setting the voltage and running Kaffeine will make it work? If so, it seems that either the LNBf settings are wrong in Kaffeine, or the channel settings are wrong. That could happen, for example, if the Kaffeine's scanfile.dvb definitions for a channel says that it is horizontal, but the channel is, in fact vertical. What channels are falling? What's your LNBf? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
