[kontact] [Bug 380264] New: KMail crashes when replying to email

2017-05-27 Thread John Perry
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380264

Bug ID: 380264
Summary: KMail crashes when replying to email
   Product: kontact
   Version: 5.4.3
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: john.pe...@usm.edu
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: kontact (5.4.3)

Qt Version: 5.7.1
Frameworks Version: 5.34.0
Operating System: Linux 4.10.17-200.fc25.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I simply try to reply to an email. The application crashes reliably whenever I
try to replay to that email.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

The content of some emails is not displayed in the main kmail window. When I
clikc the "Reply" button from this window, kmail crashes. However, if I
double-click on the email, thereby opening it in a separate window, the text is
displayed and kmail does not crash when I press "Reply" in the new window. I
can compose a reply and the message is successfully sent. Upon returning to the
main window, message content is still not displayed, and and kmail/Kontact
crashes when I click the "Reply" button.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

2017-05-27 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380263

Bug ID: 380263
Summary: Almost everything on my krita isnt working.
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.1.4
  Platform: unspecified
OS: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: layer styles
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: charlotte130...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I just installed Krita today after hearing how good it is. I had many of my
digital artist friends suggest this platform to me. However, i went onto it and
almost every feature is grey and wont let me access anything. I cant do
anything. Im unsure if this is a bug or a misunderstanding of how to use the
program. I did search up on websites and the guide provided on the website but
nothing worked. I want to add layers. I clicked on the layers tab at the top,
went to new but everything was grey and i couldn't access anything. I also
tried clicking 'Ins' to add layers, but not to my surprise, it didnt work.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope for you to get back to me
soon.
From,
 Charlotte

I'm also facing this bug on version 5.8.6-1 in Debian 9. I'm using a Dell
Inspiron laptop with a left-side vertical panel, and I've noticed that plugging
an external display to the right stops the black window from appearing in the
laptop, but causes the whole upper half of the external monitor to black out.
However, this issue is gone if I change the external display to the left in
system settings. The animated panel workaround can also fix this.

What's the solution for those of us with OpenSUSE 42.2, which is an LTS release
and won't get KDE 5.9? I believe we only get 5.8.x bugfix updates.

Do I need to uninstall the theme?

I'm using FF52ESR which may not get the fix as it was committed for FF55. I've
already nudged them.

Continuation https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379833

Tested on 5.6.0 appimage

If there is no sidecar created yet for a video file and you add GPS coordinates
to that video Geolocation Editor will still show an error instead.
Workaround is to go Item - Write metadata to file which creates a sidecar and
apply geotagging after that.

I am wondering if there is a way to make digikam create a sidecar for a raw
image or a video file after any information (tag, GPS, people, etc.) has been
added to the database.

Could you try "qdbus-qt5 --system org.freedesktop.Accounts" to check what the
accountsservice thinks about the installed users? From looking at the
user-manager code, it uses this dbus service to list users.

Update: Actually Nature / Pets / Meeya does show up in People sidebar for some
reason. There are no pictures assigned to it though. I will delete it anyways.
Please delete the case. Sorry for wasting your time.

  Platform: Other

Hello,
The box "Show only face tags for assigning names in people sidebar" in
Miscellaneous/Behavior is checked.
However when I add a face region and type "e" the following none-people tags
showing up:
"Nature", "Pets", "Meeya" (Meeya is my dog)
It seems to be happening with these particular tags only. I don't recall
facetagging my dog though so I am wondering why is this happening. Also, Pets
are not a part of People sidebar anyways.

Is this a bug or I have a picture with a face region named "Meeya" somewhere in
my collection?
Is there a way to find pictures with face regions only?

Dynamic list of spelling suggestions when a word goes wrong.

rather than having showing up static menu, under spelling where spelling
suggestions were available, It's better to have dynamic list of spelling
suggestions, like mozilla's firefox.

If spelling suggestions were on top, that would be better as user right-clicks
only because, he want spelling suggestions for wrongly typed word.

Thank you.

The list of widgets with corruptrd fonts

When scrolling the list of widgets in the "Add widgets" menu with mouse wheel,
the scrolling is slow (i.e.each mouse wheel step scrolls the content by a very
small amount) and occasionally corrupts fonts as on the screenshot.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Unlock desktop widgets.
2. Right click on the desktop and choose "Add widgets".
3. Try scrolling the list of widgets with the mouse wheel.

Kubuntu 17.04, Plasma 5.9.4, Qt 5.7.1, Nvidia driver 381.22.

I found a workaround for this bug on the KDE Community Forum here:
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=134970

The process creates a new digital clock widget placed in the users Home rather
than altering the original Digital Clock widget in Root. It does involve a bit
of file editing but I can confirm that it does work as I posted on that page
here: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=134970#p376530 (also, note on
my post there that I found an extra step was necessary to make it work,
possibly because of a later version of Plasma 5).

I can only disagree. It's called "mkdir" because this is the name of the unix
binary to create directories. This is also the name in all other twin-panel
managers beginning with Norton commander.
It is not supposed to be translated.
And "make directory" is way longer than any other FN key label.

For other opinions, please comment.

2017-05-27 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 380247
Summary: libofx fails to build in MSVC 2015
   Product: Craft

Patch to be applied by craft (to be placed in
/portage/win32libs/libofx/)

libofx fails to build when MSVC2015 is used as the compiler because of
undefined symbols in /lib/ofx_utilities.cpp (please see trace below).
The issue is caused by the usage of the globa "daylight" variable defined in
. The time.h shipped with Visual Studio seems to define the global
with a leading underscore ("_daylight"). I double checked in MSDN
(https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/90s5c885(v=vs.140).aspx) and the same
seems to be true for MSVC2010-2013 as well
Please find attached a patch for the libofx recipe.

[krita] [Bug 380246] New: Krita SegFaults and Crashes - Reported "There must be an inconsistency in the walkers happened!"

2017-05-27 Thread Cameron Ibrahim
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380246

Bug ID: 380246
Summary: Krita SegFaults and Crashes - Reported "There must be
an inconsistency in the walkers happened!"
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.1.3-rc
  Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: camibr...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 105728
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=105728&action=edit
A log of the krita's output following the crash.

While using the lasso selection tool, I accidentally hit Ctrl-X rather than
Ctrl-Z. This caused krita to crash, due to a segmentation fault based on the
output. It complained first that "The walker hasn't reached the root layer",
then that "There must be an inconsistency in the walkers happened!". I have
included the output that resulted from the crash.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 379739] insane baloo_file (and plasmashell) 256 GB virtual memory size

2017-05-27 Thread skierpage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379739

(In reply to skierpage from comment #3)
> ... I can't immediately see why this is the cause of
> baloo_file consuming 99% CPU. I guess it's more plausible my baloo/index
> file is corrupt.

I blew away my ~/.local/share/baloo/index and changed folders[$e] in
~/.config/baloofilerc to index less of my Windows partition, and after
`balooctl start` I didn't have problems with baloo_file_index, and still had
256 GB baloo_file process and 261 GB plasmashell processes. So maybe this bug
is INVALID, just a design choice to freak semi-knowledgeable users out :-)
