"Ultra-flat-icons" collection used for icons

Tooltip is too large when an icon uses vector data.
I am working on Kubuntu 17.04 with KDE backports and with 5.9 version it was OK
but now the tooltip is horrible.

Also, please test with digiKam 5.6.0 AppImage on your computer. There is more
than 4 years of development between 4.12 and 5.6. This is just huge in open
source world.

I can confirm this bug is still present in Plasma 5.10.1. I have disabled
automatic update checks in in Muon via "Configure Software Sources" in an
attempt to conserve bandwidth, but the update notifier still checks for updates
every day. Does anybody know a workaround for this? A configuration file I can
edit, perhaps?

My OS: KDE Neon 5.10.1 64-bit (Plasma Desktop 5.10.1, KDE Frameworks 5.34.0, Qt
5.7.1)

I originally opened https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380846, and hadn't
done enough investigation. I orignally blamed screen corners, as I thought
disabling them had fixed it.

I retested, and found a consistent way to reproduce the issue, and tested this
both on the X implementation, and the Wayland implementation. I could reproduce
this on the X implementation, not the Wayland implementation -- so that's a
plus, at least for the future.

To reproduce the issue:
- Download xonotic: http://xonotic.org/
- Join a server and find a hit scan weapon (tested with the Machine Gun &
Hagar)
- Hold down left click to start shooting and turn continously left
- Release the left mouse button

Expected behavior:
- The gun stops firing

Actual behavior:
- The gun continues to fire like you never let go of the left click button

Additional notes:
There's a similar issue with the right click button -- where it acts like it's
continuing to be held down -- however, I suspect whatever is causing this for
left click, is causing it for right click.

I can confirm that this has only happened for me since the update to 5.10, this
did not happene before tumbleweed updated to 5.10 from 5.9.

Additional wayland note:
While Xonotic gameplay worked, after leaving Xonotic I was unable to move the
mouse.

When applying a translation (transform) operation Krita will will sometimes
immediately crash with no prompt what so ever beforehand. Running Krita through
the terminal gives me: *** Error in

(fast): 0x175862ff ***

Due to the rarity of this bug I can't add an attachment or ask any maintainers
to reproduce the bug due to its severity so if there are any easy ways for me
to grab more information out of the crashes for you please let me know.

in your ~/.config/k3brc, there are:

[General Options]   
...  
Temp Dir=/tmp
...

so I argue that it is better to mv exist tmp files by user, but not by
K3b::MediaCopyDialog, thoughts? thanks!

More ideas:

- check /usr/share/kservices5/qimageioplugins/

- try adding image/x-dds to the MimeType list in
/usr/share/applications/org.kde.gwenview.desktop

According to http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtimageformats-index.html DDS should be
supported by Qt.

The DDS loader was removed from kimageformats because of the Qt support, but
you still need to have the kimageformats installed so that the .desktop file
gets installed.

context menu  over two monitor on three positions

If I press right button mouse at right limit of my right monitor (vertical
layout) and the context menu have not enought space the menu is completed on
the left monitor, in it extrem right, and the next level of context menu appear

My current desktop

Aside from the icons in the task manager, most widget icons, such as the
launcher and the show desktop icons are not scaling at all.  They look too
small compared to the other icons.
This only happened after I updated to Plasma 5.10.1 on my Kubuntu desktop.

I didn't know that about the FPS effect. I did some further testing and it does
not appear to be capped as I originally thought.

monitor being configured to run at 144hz.

Ok, I don't know why but it works now. What I did:
I tried to create a screen cast video to show you the problem. To do so I
changed my system language from German to Englisch, to avoid confusion... I had
to log out and in again to apply the changes, but afterwards the problem is
gone. Of course I tried rebooting before without resolving the problem, but not
since I've refreshed the Krusader configuration, so I don't know if it was
because of the language switching or the log out after configuration reset.

Furthermore I should mention that I am running on Kubuntu 16.04.02 and I added
"ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports" manually to my apt-system to get an KDE update.

For me it works now and I think it could have been just a strange combination
of many things (especially the unusual KDE upgrade...). If you want to
investigate the error anyway I'm happy to help.

This is certainly a weird bug report. So, it looks like what's happening is ld
loading flatpak-backend.so which uses libappstream.so and libflatpak.so.
libappstream is loaded but libflatpak isn't because it isn't there. It's
libappstream when is loaded again by the flatpak backend that it explodes.

I use ArchLinux but Qt5/KF5 compiled locally in debug mode and it does work for
some reason. :(

I have never seen anything like this and I can't think of something I can do
fix it on Discover side.

What other distros do is to split the flatpak-backend package and make it
depend on flatpak.

One thing we could do is maybe to look for flatpak (as in `which flatpak`)
before actually loading it, but I'd prefer we didn't have to get to that.

Misaligned text at the bottom of the screen with Spell Check set to
autodetection of language and automatic spell checking enabled.

Downloaded the new KATE 17.04.1 64-bit.exe for Windows and noticed the spell
checker would not work. Went to Settings->Configure KATE->Editing->Spellcheck
to make sure the Enable autodetection of language box was checked, it was. Then
noticed that above the Default language drop down menu there was a "No backend
found for spell checking" error message. I tried to change the language from
English to something else but there are no other options even though I chose to
install all the available languages during the setup. Even though it spell
check doesn't work somethings it comes back with error messages at the bottom
of the screen with the text misaligned.

No. Only the terminal output which is usually useless. (We need some debug flag
for advanced output BTW)

Difference and possible cause: DropJobs are not managed by JobMan and are not

Using the search feature, the "still looking" text and the swirly thing
underneath never go away.

My personal opinion is that this shouldn't be overlayed directly on top of
other elements anyway, especially where it could end up on top of other text.
Some options I can think of are

- Visual indicator in search bar
- Bottom status bar like the bottom of the Konversation window or like Internet
Explorer 8.
- Something shown when the user gets to the bottom of the search results, part
of the list rather than overlayed on top.

This is very weird behaviour. I cannot replicate that.

Is it the same if you swap panels (local FS on the left and FTP on the right)?

Can you also test with a fresh Krusader config? Meaning:
1) close Krusader
2) rename ~/.config/krusaderrc to e.g. ~/.config/krusaderrc.bak (so you can get
back to it afterwards)
3) start Krusader
4) test - is it still happening?

I'll be happy to try; no point in reporting bugs if you're not willing to help
test.

Can you please point me to a how-to? I have compilers etc installed and spare
resources and a long history of *x use but don't often do this.

FYI, I'm running OpenSuSE 42.2 (bug was reported on native install) but also
have Virtualbox so can load up whatever is needed.

segaafult after typing a single character in a dilogue

Kmymoney crashes(segfaults) in many dialogues, including typing in fields like
payee, or new institution, or beginning to fill out the dialogue for an
entirely new file. Perhaps I have some library problem, but other KDE based
programs have no such issues?

dialog box appearing when clicking on a jpg gif file

clicking on jpg or gif produces error of Amibiguous shortcuts in dolphin. 
After closing the box or clicking OK, gwenview starts ,shows the picture and
everything is fine.  Clicking on a png doesn't cause the dialog box to appear. 
Dialog box says "There are two actions (Cut, Delete) that want to use the same
shortcut (Shift+Del). This is most probably a bug. Please report it in
bugs.kde.org"  This has just started to happen after the last update of files
that I installed

Exported opening balance accounts needs a 'currency' attribute to avoid

It turned out that on writing additional opening balance accounts with
different currencies it is required to write out the currency too and on
importing such templates the currency need to be imported if present. Otherwise

Well, it's from 1999 (and says "SHOULD be shorter than 80 characters." or "any
paragraph longer than 79 characters in total length COULD be wrapped") and even
1999 people had more than 80-column screens. I'd be also fine with a warning
like "Guy, this is not standard, it's your own risk" ;-)

You probably know more mail readers than me. If you really think that nowadays
it's still a problem to increase the limit I'll cancel this wish.

The only alternative would be to use HTML mails to work around this limitation
but I try to avoid them.
