https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381848 Bug ID: 381848 Summary: unable to revert to xserver-xorg-video-intel driver Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Packages User Edition Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: pieterkristen...@gmail.com CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Neon switched to the xserver-xorg-video-intel-native-modesetting video driver. My system, Dell Lattitude E5500 (2010), doesn't react well on that. I tried to revert to the old xserver-xorg-video-intel driver but there is no way to do that. Muon shows the package in the list but it is impossible to install because it is a "virtual package". But when I do "apt download xserver-xorg-video-intel" this "virtual package" is downloaded to my home-folder and it doesn't look virtual to me at all! When I try to install this downloaded package the system won't do that too. I wish there was a way to simply revert to the old driver. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[skrooge] [Bug 381847] New: Income & Expenditure widget does not match corresponding report
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381847 Bug ID: 381847 Summary: Income & Expenditure widget does not match corresponding report Product: skrooge Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com Reporter: bernhard+...@scheirle.de CC: steph...@mankowski.fr Target Milestone: --- The "Income & Expenditure" dashboard widget has a few config options. You can select*¹ if you want to include (or exclude): * Transfers * Tracked operations * Suboperations As long as Transfers are excluded and you now open the corresponding report via *¹ the report shows other values for income and expediture. The reason for this is, that the widget does include grouped operations and the report does exclude grouped operations. Skip Shader self test for Mesa >= 17 Summary: We are getting reports about the shader self test failing in a false positive way on Mesa 17. We already have such false positve results for NVIDIA quadro and went with disabling the self test. Most likely our self test has a problem or the rendering of the first frame has a problem. [akregator] [Bug 378513] kontact or akregator crash after close/restart
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378513 Alexey A Nikitin changed: What|Removed |Added CC||moonwal...@syrius.us --- Comment #12 from Alexey A Nikitin --- For me the crash happens absolutely every time I launch Akregator in standalone mode and every time I close Kontact if I launch Akregator as part of Kontact. If I launch Kontact I can see articles in Akregator, but I cannot do anything with them - keyboard shortcuts don't work, context menu doesn't pop up on right-click, going through main application menu all of the items in Article menu are greyed out. If I create a new user account on my machine and start Akregator there it starts fine. In existing account I tried deleting ~/.local/share/akregator and ~/.config/akregatorrc but I still see the same symptoms. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381837 Bug ID: 381837 Summary: *.ico-files Save and Open don't work Product: krita Version: 3.1.4 Platform: Windows CE OS: Windows CE Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: File formats Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: salzkartoffe...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Contradictory to what the official website says here: https://docs.krita.org/File_Menu, the opening of Icon files does not work and the Saving/Exporting only seem to work partially. Dragging them into the Krita window works nothing better than selecting Open from the File menu. In the Save and the Export dialog, "*.ico" IS listed under "All supported formats", yet not separately and DOES work however. I've just checked again, nowhere (not on the site, nor in the actual program) does it explicitly say that Krita should be able OPEN .ico-files... What is the point in that though? I can literally save a file, try to open it and Krita will not know what to do with it and call it "unknown"... This is somewhat retarded in my opinion. I see why this could be intended. Since .ico-files usually store multiple versions of an icon in one file, opening them could be considered more complicated than saving them. But again, this shouldn't be preventing me from opening something I just saved. Please actually fix this bug and add the feature in, DON'T JUST REMOVE THE ARTICLE ON THE WEBSITE, please. Thanks, it would help a lot if you could find a solution to this, maybe even another dialog for opening .ico-files in which the user can select the version/size of the icon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 381833] virtual keyboard gets state-confused
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381833 --- Comment #1 from Martin Flöser --- The problem is in the state handling. When clicking hide button on the lower right we also do not get the animation. But when clicking the button, showHide is called and that will set to hidden state. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

In order to get signals from the decorator you have to actually run the decorator, not the decoratee (which is a bit odd and clearly not a decorator pattern at all) Changing that is harder than it would seem because Runner dynamic_casts the jobs to FindMatchJob all over the place as it manually bookeeps the jobs despite bookmarking jobs being *literally the entire point of threadweaver*. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381807) The steps I included in the previous bug report to prevent it from happen are still valid. Nevertheless, I found more traces relevant to the issue. Also, I can't provide any backtrace. (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA/Troubleshooting#Avoid_screen_tearing_in_KDE_.28KWin.29) 1)Forcing a full composition pipeline. a)Solves the issue; screen tearing is not present, and Krita doesn't make Kwin crash/disable compositing. -The downside is that the OpenGL applications/games run choppy; However, suspending compositing with the hotkey - Alt+Shift+F12 fixes it. 2)Enabling triple buffering with a script in a directory /etc/profile.d/, and an entry in xorg.conf that enables triple buffering for the driver itself. a)The bug is present; Krita makes Kwin crash/disable compositing. Using either "Sync to V-blank" or "Allow Flipping" option in the NVIDIA driver settings have no effect to the bug. -If "Sync to V-blank" is enabled, V-Sync will not work upon restarting Kwin compositing after a crash. (Furthermore, Krita won't make Kwin crash in this case, even if V-Sync wasn't explicitly disabled by an user.) -If "Allow Flipping" is enabled, V-Sync will work upon restarting Kwin compositing after a crash. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kaffeine] [Bug 374693] kaffeine does not tune into some dvb-s channels
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374693 --- Comment #15 from julius...@gmail.com --- The comparison of the previously attached channelfile without workaround and that with workaround shows, that without the workaround, only channels with polarization=V appear; while after the workaround [running VLC at least until the line if (ioctl (d->frontend, FE_ENABLE_HIGH_LNB_VOLTAGE, &val) < 0 && val) ], channels with both polarization=V and polarization=H appear (and the latter file is larger). Since this problem does not only appear with kaffeine, but also with w_scan, could this have to to with the underlying system? (which is somehow initialized more comprehensively by vlc). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
