Did you change the gmic-qt path to point to the one included in the 3.2 rc 3.1
package? If you haven't, please do that and try to apply some filters again.

After that, please check if there are any backtraces:

[amarok] [Bug 382919] Some mp3 tracks audio cuts playing

2017-08-12 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382919

Uhmm sorry to keep you waiting. Bad news, the laptop I had Linux mint KDE is no
longer working. I will have to fix it and rebuild my KDE to be able to give
more info. All I remember is that VLC was also using phonon but VLC didn't have
the issue with those mp3 songs, it was only Amarok, that's why I'm reporting
this as an Amarok bug, because I remember playing those files in VLC without
trouble (and also seeing that VLC did use phonon as backend too) so I though it
was something just between Amarok and Phonon and not just phonon. I can't
remember the phonon version, but it should be the version that comes
preisntalled in Linux Mint KDE 18.1 and 18.2

Git commit 077ef6797eb63df9c875ee1bc719d677ef594360 by Michael Pyne.
Committed on 09/08/2017 at 03:46.
Pushed by mpyne into branch 'master'.

desktopfileparser: Fix non-compliant key/value parsing.

The Desktop Entry spec says we should ignore the spaces surrounding the
'=' delimiter in a Key=Value pair. But we only do this sometimes (all
cases except the Type= entry which is handled specially). This change
fixes Type entries to ignore whitespace as well.

[krita] [Bug 383339] Gmic crash when applying any filter

2017-08-12 Thread Silvio Grosso
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383339

Hello everyone,

Now I "finally" get a crash myself :-)
Windows 7 - 64 bit
Intel I7
Nvidia Geforce

With the jpeg image I have attached to Dropbox I can always make Krita - G'mic
crash as soon as I click apply or Ok to the filter (e.g. black-white g'mic
filter).
I don't know what occures with Dropbox but it looks like the jpeg image
(biancospino_w-b) I have previously copied-pasted in Dropbox is much different
when I *right-click* on it to download "as image" on my computer once again (to
test it myself...).
Its size is much smaller, 600kb the original jpeg vs 101 kb the downloaded from
Dropbox, and many exif metadata are lost in the process (copyright etc).

Here is the ouput captured with DebugView for this crash:

Hello everyone,

Sorry to hijajack this bug report but I have tried to reproduce myself this bug
on Windows 7 and Windows 10 (both 64 bit).

To do so I have downloaded the latest krita provided today by Boud. The one
with G'mic with the same QT version of Krita (krita 3.2.0.rc3.1_x64_setup.exe).
On my two systems (W7 and W10) the G'mic plugin does not crash but it is acting
extremely weird. In short it only sometimes "works".
The preview is always correct but the filter is not usually applied on my image
(I have tried both to press "apply" or "Ok").
Once in a while it works though !
Usually, It looks like G'mic is unable to apply the filter on the whole image.
I have tried different jpeg and png images and it looks like jpeg images are
more prone to errors.
These same images work fine on Gimp 2.8.20 and G'mic 2.0.2 (qt version).

I have recorded a video to show these glitches (again, it is very difficult to
reproduce these problems because the end result depends on the images I
try...).

Here is a link for my video (Windows 7 - 64 bit):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wlfxx5f0kuoer55/GMIC_KRITA_BUG.mp4?dl=0

Here is a jpeg image which gives plenty of problems with G'MIC and Krita:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/a0d46qbamc1e8hx/BIANCOSPINO_B-W.jpg?dl=0

Btw, the same problems occured with the Krita 3.2 release candidate (available
5 days ago to download). All g'mic filters worked on random on my images (but
usually they were not applied to the image...)

Btw, there is another smal bug concerning the g'mic window preview. When you
zoom-in and zoom-out everything works. But the reset button does not work at
all (in essence, when the preview image is zoomed-in you are forced to zoom-out
manually because the reset zoom button does not work)

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 383440] New: Hight CPU on indexing newly created folders

2017-08-12 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383440

Bug ID: 383440
Summary: Hight CPU on indexing newly created folders
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: 5.32.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Baloo File Daemon
  Assignee: pinak.ah...@gmail.com
  Reporter: hotmusic...@mail.bg
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello!

Baloo (more specifically baloo_file_extractor) has a very high CPU usage when
some new folder with large (or not so large) amount of contents has been
recently created. Typical example is extracting archives - I've had this
problem when extracted icon theme from archive.

I think the bug still exists (s. bug 372881), but it's probably a but in Qt and
not in plasma.

Yeah, I'm glad that it works for you... but the actual bug is not really
fixed...

So i would guess it's a bug with the latest Intel driver (again argh). If you
somehow are able to install an older version it might work with OpenGL enabled
(but Windows 10 wouldn't let you do this easily).

(Also, I would guess if you use any other applications that happen to use
OpenGL there would be similar issues.)

[krita] [Bug 383382] Can't access parts of workspace/click on file items when a file is open

2017-08-12 Thread Rebecca

Hey!! Disabling OpenGL fixed it! :D Everything displays normally
including before/after opening a file or closing a tab.

Thanks so much! Krita is my only real sketch program that I use so this had
been really frustrating. Idk if that's a permanent solution but it works for
now!

I should've asked this earlier... but if you disable OpenGL in Configure Krita

I have a far-fetched hypothesis: When an OpenGL context is created, something
somehow messed up the internal state of the window...

Hi again--

No external monitor, just my laptop. (Also I realized I mistyped, it's an XPS13
not 15).

I tried what you suggested @Alvin-- when I close the tab it sort of reverts to
normal, but buttons are doubled, kind of? Attaching picture since it's hard to
explain.

I've realized also that the file menu buttons ARE clickable, just not visible.
Everything is visually shifted "UP" but if I click where they're supposed to
be, the function still works. Ex. to close the tab, I couldn't click the "X" I
had to click a space or two down from the "X". I can change the opacity/size of
brushes but I have to click below where the options for those are.

Sorry if that's confusing, hard to explain or get a good screenshot of.

   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.10.4

  Target Milestone: 1.0

Hello.

I'm running openbox with some KDE apps. After upgrading plasma-workspace and
related packages from 5.9 to 5.10 many regular actions happen with a ~20
seconds delay, e.g. confirmation dialogues in dolphin appear with this delay,
konsole displays tab completion results with this delay, cmst starts with this
delay, etc.

Apparently I'm not the only one affected, check 'see also'.

.local/share/sddm/xorg-session.log is full of "Unexpected reply signature: got
\"\", expected \"a{sv}\"" messages.

I'm ready to provide more info if needed. This is a very annoying behaviour, it
would be nice if you could fix it.

There is only one PC connected to the LNB at a given time. (The AP82-T2B LNB
provides two independent outputs, but only one is used). When i plug the cable
out of the PC and test the signal with a WS-6933 *, everything looks good. And
with Kaffeine, all the channels that appear also look good. So there is no
problem with the signal strength for the working channels.

Qt doesn't seem to be using the screen size though, it would be using the

[krita] [Bug 383382] Can't access parts of workspace/click on file items when a file is open

2017-08-12 Thread Rebecca
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383382

Hi guys, thanks for the responses. @Boudewijn Rempt that would make sense
because I did a BIOS update that Dell prompted this last week, and that was
around the time Krita went wonky.

@Alvin Wong--

1) Yep, it's at 150%, I just tried 125 and 100 and it didn't change anything in
Krita (except, you know, make it smaller, haha).
2) I'm currently on Windows 1703, but looking at my history it seems like I've
had 1703 since as far back as May and Krita was fine then.
3) I just have Intel Graphics I'm pretty sure
4) Apparently I had it disabled, I turned it on and it definitely changed the
look of Krita-- some of the buttons I didn't have access to before were working
again but it's still sized wrong and I still don't have access to the file
buttons (picture attached).

Thanks again guys

Meta is typically Alt, whereas Super is the Windows/Ubuntu key. Do you have a
nontypical mapping, or just mixed up the terminology?

Sorry to hear about the problem! At the moment there is not enough information
in this bug report to troubleshoot the issue. Since Kubuntu package updates are
provided by the distro and not by KDE directly, I would recommend filing a new
bug report upstream at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/
