[kdenlive] [Bug 386932] Audio playback is different pitch & not smooth.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386932 --- Comment #16 from Jesse--- Just tested with the latest Appimage build JB provided. I can confirm: no more pitch issue using .ogg or .wav audio files (even with audio driver set to "Auto" in Kdenlive). Really nice work sir. :) Your time and efforts really paid off on this one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 371731] Present Windows lags/stutters when window close buttons are enabled
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371731 --- Comment #14 from achat1...@free.fr --- On both my Ivy Bridge and Skylake machine (both using integrated intel GPU), I saw a great improvement in graphic performance including on this bug by adding the following xorg config file: 20-intel.conf in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ containing: Section "Device" Identifier "Intel Graphics" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" "sna" Option "TearFree" "true" Option "DRI" "3" EndSection AND by switching to the xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-16.04 instead of modesetting. This worked on both machine, one running neon user (plasma 5.11.4 Qt 5.9.3) and the other neon lts (plasma 5.8.8 Qt 5.7.1) and add no problem since. This effect is now very snappy rearranging windows after closing one. And again it has improved performance on the desktop all around. I found the solution here when look for another issue I had with graphics. https://askubuntu.com/questions/752743/ubuntu-16-04-skylake-6th-generation-screen-flickering -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386932 --- Comment #15 from Jean-Baptiste Mardelle--- Fortunately this is a packaging issue. No change is required on Kdenlive's code. It doesn't do anyone any good to keep open tickets we don't intend to act on. I understand that this is frustrating for folks, but Eike makes a lot of good points. Many apps set really lousy window icons[1]. Often they're 32x32 bitmaps. Sometimes they're radically different from the pretty theme icons. And they're not supported in Wayland anyway. Sometimes you have to make tough design decisions, knowing that you can't please everyone and some people will be negatively impacted. It's a hard call, but ultimately having consistent app icons used throughout Plasma is important, so here we are. [krita] [Bug 387884] New: Scripter does not run edits unless saved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387884 Bug ID: 387884 Summary: Scripter does not run edits unless saved Product: krita Version: 4.0 pre-alpha Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Scripting Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bunf2...@apps.opensourcelaw.biz Target Milestone: --- If a scripter script has been saved, using the Run action causes scripter to load and run the script from its associated file - even if there are unsaved changes in the script window. To reproduce: start scripter file->new script print("hello") file-> save (choose filename and save) press Run/Ctrl-R: == hello add to edit window: print("world") press Run/Ctrl-R: == hello That is, "world" is not printed, despite being in the edit window. This is because saving the document sets _activeDocument flag and that causes the script to load directly from the file. There are different approaches to solving this * add a dirty flag to the edit box and check that, put a dialog up to query saving before running - or visual indicator that script has been changed or toolbar warning that running script from file * automatically save edit window before running (or have this as an option in settings) * have separate actions save+run (... from the file) and run (...from the editor window) * have separate actions run from file, run from editor (manual saving) * have a "run-from-file" mode which doesn't display the edit window - or makes it read only? * run only script in window * some combination I personally would like to be able to run scripts directly from the file - so that I can use a different editor. Wanted feedback on UI before diving into patching. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386932 --- Comment #12 from Jean-Baptiste Mardelle--- Ok, finally after spending many hours checking for regressions in the toolchain I think I understood what happened. The AppImage only relied on FFmpeg's avresample, so when it was dropped, we were left without resampling, leading to the distortion reported. [plasmashell] [Bug 372847] Hide task manager window previews when keyboard input is received
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372847 Nate Grahamchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED CC||pointedst...@zoho.com --- Comment #11 from Nate Graham --- As of Plasma 5.11, the workflow listed in comment #10 is fixed: when the mouse is hovered over an entry to display a tooltip, and then the mouse is clicked, the tooltip disappears even though the cursor is still above the button.
