Note: I've found a fix for this. This bug only occurs if I'm using Krita on my
Wacom Tablet Display when it's not set to be my main monitor. If I make change
Windows to specify that it's my main monitor, I'm able to move my pen back and
forth freely from the screen without issue.

[systemsettings] [Bug 388605] New: System settings crash after typing into the search bar

2018-01-05 Thread Max Behling
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388605

Bug ID: 388605
Summary: System settings crash after typing into the search bar
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.11.5
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: max.behli...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: systemsettings5 (5.11.5)

Qt Version: 5.10.0
Frameworks Version: 5.41.0
Operating System: Linux 4.14.11-1-ARCH x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I opened the system settings application and was looking for a settings menu
related to the panel at the bottom of the screen that contains the taskbar,
clock, system tray, etc. I typed the term "panel" into the search bar, and the
application crashed about 0.5 seconds after I typed the full term. I opened it
up to try again to investigate the bug, and it crashed again after typing into
the search bar. I tried other search terms as well, and it seems to crash about
0.5 seconds after I stop typing regardless of the search term. It does not
crash every time, but I would say about 60% of the time it crashes for me.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[krita] [Bug 388604] New: Cursor will freeze if I lift the Wacom pen too far from the canvas

2018-01-05 Thread Mike Solomon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388604

Bug ID: 388604
Summary: Cursor will freeze if I lift the Wacom pen too far
from the canvas
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.3.2
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: tablet support
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: mike...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

As with Bug ID 349737, I find that if I move by Wacom pen too far away from the
device while drawing on the tablet - I won't be able to touch it back to the
display without first moving it to something outside of the canvas.

I am running the latest Krita (3.3.2) that I downloaded yesterday.

Computer information:
- Windows 10 Home edition Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.192)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K (4.00GHz)
- RAM: 16 GB

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new canvas (any size is fine)
2. Do a single stroke with the wacom tablet
3. Lift the pen
4. Try to do a second stroke.

Actual Results:
Cursor will freeze during the step 3.
In order to un-freeze the cursor it's necessary to point the pen outside the
canvas.

Expected Results:
Cursor doesn't freeze when moving too far away from display.

Here is the system information output:

For example like "Looks like this vault is not opened, do you want to open it?"
Second an option to umount it via the context menu of the folder.

2018-01-05 Thread zeta
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387830

Yea, I did turn it off. Which is bad for other repos :(

(Is it possible to configure the autoload per repo?)

I think of duplication or recursion loop because the sizes really do not make
any sense. Out of the 230 MB in the repo, there are probably just 50 MB of
actual code, so Im thinking of a problem in ctags itself.

If you can guide me on process tracing to see what goes in that ctags stdin,
I'll be more then happy to investigate.

Best regards.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Sorry I could not find the Ativity Switcher category, I hope this is OK.

kwin 5.11.4
plasmashell 5.11.4

Platform is Mint with Neon Stable PPA's

Steps to reproduce:

Configure task switcher to select all windows (default). Style: Compact.

Configure focus stealing prevention to Low

Configure window activation to Click

Set up 3 or more activities. lets call them: A B C

Open 2 windows on each. lets call them: A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2

Go on each activity and give focus to A1 B1 and C1

Switch to activity C, then B, then A

Focus should be on A1. Now:

Use activity switcher to jump to window C2.

It should get focused, but its not.

If you play around you will find the focus sometimes work, sometimes not.

Best regards!

[plasmashell] [Bug 387341] Memory leak in plasma shell with 5.10.5

2018-01-05 Thread Alexander Schlarb
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387341

Meanwhile I also tested this with AMD's "GPU Pro" binary userland driver and,
while being an awful experience in a lot of ways, this particular bug does not
occur there. I then also retested with Mesa from latest master and 13.x (i.e. a
very old version) and the issue occurs on both of these platforms. Using older
kernel versions (tested down to 4.8.x) does not change anything either.

Next stop is trying some older Qt versions (if I finally manage to get that
crap to compile ). We'll see…

PS: Most likely this is not a bug *in* plasmashell, but for lack of a better
I'll keep posting updates here until the actual problem is found.

Fix icon name "weather-none" -> "weather-none-available"

Summary:
"weather-none-available" has been the traditional name in Oxygen and
is referenced as such in existing KDE and non-KDE code, also used as
name in other icon themes (e.g. Numix).

One could argue that the icon fallback mechanism should still result
in "weather-none" being used with Breeze. Issues with that though are:
* is inconsistent naming with other icon themes (incl. Oxygen)
* fails with distributions patching the Breeze theme to inherit Oxygen,
as then the Oxygen icon will be used.

Maybe the last daylight change, about 2 months ago ?

the RDATE;VALUE=DATE-TIME:19230527T23 format seems valid though
https://www.kanzaki.com/docs/ical/rdate.html
The years are weird (1923 ?), but removing those RDATE lines
make all December appointments shift by 1 hour for instance.
So they seem efficient somehow.

head_18105ca.ics, which contains only the VTIMEZONE,
is enough to reproduce the behavior.

This is a little bit too little information for a bugreport, can you give more
information? Like, how much ram was krita using, how much ram does your
computer have, which version of windows are you running?

[digikam] [Bug 388596] New: main area remains empty with Qt 5.9.3

2018-01-05 Thread RJVB
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388596

Bug ID: 388596
Summary: main area remains empty with Qt 5.9.3
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.7.0
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 109699
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=109699=edit
Digikam 5.7.0 running under custom-build Qt 5.9.3

Since I upgraded to Qt 5.9.3 I no longer get any content in the main area,
except for the Map. My collections are all there, it's as if some component
doesn't load without providing an error.

At first I expected that this could be an incompatibility with the rebooted
QtWebKit 5.212 (github.com/annulen/webkit) but nothing improved after
installing the "community" QtWebKit 5.9.1 and rebuilding digikam5 .

I'm seeing this on Mac and Linux; the linux AppImage build works fine in this
aspect. On Mac I can return to a working version by forcing the MacPorts build
to use Qt 5.8.0 (either by reactivating the 5.8 Qt5 port or by using
DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH to load Qt's own 5.8 build).

[dolphin] [Bug 388595] New: Python files aren't recognized as Python anymore

2018-01-05 Thread Tobias Leupold

(At least here on Gentoo) As of 17.12.0, Dolphin shows the plain text icon for
all Python files (with and without the .py extension). The MIME type still says
e. g. "text/x-python3".

When I open a Python file with KWrite, I also get no syntax highlighting. Just
the plain black on white source.

IIRC, this was not the case with 17.08.3 yet.

It would be very helpful if the keyboard shortcuts for Spectacle could be
reviewed directly in Spectacle.

Ideally, one would be able to also change the keyboard shortcuts from within
Spectacle. Or have a link that opens the right place in the Plasma
configuration: "Global Keyboard Shortcuts" > Component "KDE Daemon" (which is
currently not intuitive to find).

[digikam] [Bug 388591] New: Rename malfunction

Bug ID: 388591

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Albums-Engine
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: aegor...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Current behavior:
Open an image in digikam e.g. image #124 in the album - press F2 - type new
name - press Enter - digikam switches to the next image e.g. #125 (like after
deleting) however if you press Left arrow key that opens the very first image
in the album (#1) ; pressing Left opens the 2nd image in the album (#2). That
is a lot of pressing "-->" to get back to #124.

Expected behavior:
Open an image e.g. #124- press F2 - type in new name - press Enter
digikam stays on the same image (#124); press Right arrow key goes to #125;
pressing Left (from #124) opens #123

Screenshot with poppler patch, take 2

Thanks for testing Oliver. Hm, the Poppler patch produces an exact match under
all conditions for me, no idea what causes the few pixel offset at your side.
Doesn't matter much yet, just wanted to show that it could be done within
Poppler. If we decided to fix it in Poppler, we'll have to improve the patch
until it's good enough anyway.

Hi! :-)
I think it would be nice to have an option for setting the alarm to a specific
time.

You can do it yourself of course (with the help of a bash script file or with a
small program written in your language of preference), but it would be nice to
have it as an option too.

[Akonadi] [Bug 384359] Regression in 5.6.0 / 17.08 compared to 17.04.3: MySQL load always 100%, constant queries, extremely sluggisch behaviour

2018-01-05 Thread Daniel Roschka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384359

I might have figured out what caused the issue.

The search folder in KMail showed 10 results and when I opened the search
window it showed the search folder itself as destination for the search. I then
did a search in a different folder and the problem immediately went away.

So my guess is that it's somehow an odd default which results in a recursive
search, as the search searches in the search results.

I haven't been able to reproduce it once it was gone, but luckily the problem
is gone for me now.

Hi Johannes,

this seems to fix the view issue more or less. However, the last icon
seems to be a bit off colour.

At first it shows some real icon, but then switches to something
everchanging, as if it would show random bits.

I suppose it reads some random memory instead of the image. I checked in
Ubuntu 16.04, 17.10 and Mint 18.3.

Cheers, Andreas

[plasmashell] [Bug 388584] [Idea/wishlist] uninstall app from kickoff/kicker context menu

2018-01-05 Thread Eike Hein
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388584

Eike Hein changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Resolution|--- |INVALID
 Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED

No:

* It appears in Kicker as well, it's a shared backend feature.

* It was actually changed from Uninstall to Manage upon feedback from package
manager devs / distros (who need to configure what gets run when you use the
action). They wanted something more generic than outright Uninstall since they
don't always have a suitable uninstall callable etc.

[plasmashell] [Bug 388584] [Idea/wishlist] uninstall app from kickoff/kicker context menu

2018-01-05 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388584

That only appears in Kickoff (IIRC, not in front of my Linux machine right
now), and that term may be a bit too abstract. I think "Uninstall" or "Remove"
might be better, since there's usually not much more than removing that you can
do on Discover application page anyway.
