This is already the case. All type mime recognized as images can be exported,
including RAW files.

If webservices do not support RAW as well, post conversion is proposed as JPEG
or PNG...

Bug ID: 392595
Summary: DND Trash to desktop; Malformed URL trash:/
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 17.12.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

When I drag and drop the Trash from Dolphin to the Folder View Desktop, the
following desktop file is created:

[Desktop Entry]
Icon=unknown
Name=trash:/
Type=Link
URL[$e]=trash:/

No Trash icon is displayed (empty white paper icon).

When I click this file, the message "Malformed URL trash:/" appears.

I read something on the mailing list, so this might already be fixed.

[digikam] [Bug 387351] Meta data for RAW files checkbox disabled

2018-04-01 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387351

The main problem is the importance of perform RAW metadata writing is safe mode
for photo. If Exiv2 corrupt RAW file when writing inside, due to the complexity
of RAW file structures, it's not safe to perform this operation for all end
users.

As i know, nobody from Exiv2 team work to improve Raw metadata files writing
since a while. In opposite, XMP sidecar support become better and better step
by step. The only missing stage from Exiv2 team is to release more frequently
the library, and not to wait one or 2 year between official versions.

Even if i'm also agree to not see the photo collection populated with extra
metadata files by images, there is no other safe solution. The same problem
exists with video files which is more critical in Eviv2 implementation, as only
a read of metadata crash quickly digiKam. In incoming 6.0.0, we switch video
and audio files metadata support to ffmpeg as well and only let Exiv2 play with
image files...

So for me this option must be removed as well. It's dangerous to use it.

Note : we don't manage Exiv2 project. We only use it. If you want to see
something improved about RAW file metadata writing, ask to Exiv2 team as
UPSTREAM.

Bug ID: 392599

leak
   Product: frameworks-kconfigwidgets
   Version: 5.44.0
  Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: jan.muss...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Both the Wallpaper slideshow and the Media Frame widget have memory leaks.
Because my wife's computer crashed a lot lately I looked into CPU temperature
and RAM usage. Well, temp was okay but memory was filling up till at the end
the system crashed.
The widget has a default refresh time of 6.8 seconds and in that rhythm I saw
a memory increase. I now deleted the frame from the desktop and memory usage
stays normal now.

ok, i switch to multicore.

Note that it's currently 15% of scanning with one core. Nothing special, it
run. I can switch to another view without problem. Memory allocation is around
250-300Kb and still stable. No memory leak. The database is sqlite.

Update Account greying - Online Settings disappears
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bugtracker
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: mfcarp...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

After I map an Account OFX import runs just fine and my transactions download
properly. As I don't want to update the last 60 days of transactions again I
change the Import details to Last Update.

With this change the Update Account and Update All Accounts turns grey.

When I go look for at Edit Account > Online Settings the Online Settings tab is
gone.

Account still shows as Mapped when you view the Account tab on the toolbar.

Changing the Import Details to Last Update makes downloading of transactions
inoperable.

[kdevelop] [Bug 392602] New: Contextual menu in Documents tool view is slow to appear

2018-04-01 Thread Martin Fuhrer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392602

Bug ID: 392602
Summary: Contextual menu in Documents tool view is slow to
appear
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: 5.2.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: VCS: Perforce
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: mfuh...@alumni.ucalgary.ca
  Target Milestone: ---

When right-clicking on a document (or a selection of documents) in the
Documents tool view, a contextual menu normally pops up instantaneously. This
is certainly the case when the Perforce plugin is disabled.

If the Perforce plugin is enabled, when right-clicking on a single document,
there is a brief delay (about 2 seconds) before the contextual menu appears.
When selecting n documents and right-clicking on the selection, the delay
increases by about n times (e.g. right clicking on five selected documents
requires about 10 seconds before the contextual menu appears). This is
problematic if, for example, I want to select multiple documents to close from
the contextual menu.

Look the htop view and number of threads running in parallel.

Q : why i cannot see the thread name by QObject name ? Since recent Linux
kernel, it's possible to customized the thread names (limited to 16 characters)
:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26179688/is-it-possible-to-name-a-qthread

I use this way in my office to identify quickly which thread is idle or not.
It's very powerful...

Q2 : What's "Qt http thread" and "Qt bearer thread" ?

Yes, it's a specific problem on macos. Apparently there are two problems:

* if macos is in a certain language, for some reason, the gui doesn't change to
that language. At least, according to reports, I don't have a setup like that.
* if macos is in english, you might need to set both the main as well as the
fallback language to the chosen language. That works for me.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 391464] KDEConnect does not browse my external SD correctly

2018-04-01 Thread p
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391464

Another update. I am either on a completely wrong track, or it is getting a bit
more work.

SftpSubsystem in method process for case SSH_FXP_READDIR is a method call
sendName(id,dh). That is the one which fails for .android_secure. If in the
debugger I set the id from 0 to 1, then I see all the subdirectories on my SD
card. In the code further down the line, the system all of a sudden claims that
this file doesn't exist. All this part of the code comes
org.apache.sshd:sshd-core. In the grade file I see that you use version 0.8 and
claim that 1.+ requires java.nio.file which doesn't exit in Android. It is
there since API Level 26
https://developer.android.com/reference/java/nio/file/package-summary.html
which is Android 8.0. My device is Android 8.0. I tried to change the code to
use sshd-core 1.7 (your version is about 6 years old). Unfortunately it seems
that the package was refactored quite heavily in the past 6 years. I failed to
do a quick exchange.

Am I on the wrong track? Is there an option for you to switch to 1.7? Any other
opinions?

[digikam] [Bug 392134] SIGSEGV While Scanning Faces [patch]

2018-04-01 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392134

--- Comment #17 from caulier.gil...@gmail.com ---
Why a pure virtual method is called ? Why the C++ exception is not caught by
digiKam. The debug trace come from certainly OpenCV.

I use openCV 3.4.0, compiled myself with the minimum required for digiKam.
Configure script is here :

https://cgit.kde.org/digikam.git/tree/project/scripts/bootstrap.opencv-minimal-linux.sh

My Mageia6 system has only OpenCV 2. So i removed all devel packages, but
binary still here as it's used by the system and Plasma desktop especially (i
don't know what exactly).
