[krita] [Bug 395386] [Move Tool] regression: no undo

Thank you @Isaac for taking the time to record a video about it.
I'm switching the ticket to 'CONFIRMED'. I discussed about it yesterday with
@Quiralta and he was able to also reproduce it.

It looks like the move tool totally inhibit the "Undo" action during the
action. One of the main problem: there is no user feedback on canvas an
unfinished action is 'in progress'. So the Undo key just appears broken. Here
are the hidden three option to unlock Undo stack avec a MoveTool action:

1. Switch to another tool (eg. switch to Freehand painting) then Undo works
again.
2. Press key on keyboard then Undo works again.
3. Pressing key bake the action and Undo works again.

Proposal to solve this issue

Option 1: Information
-> Add an overlay notification in the corner of the canvas:
   "Move Tool action in progress"
" to validate - to cancel"

Option 2: Undo==Cancel
-> During a MoveTool action, pressing resets the position.
   ==Current  key behavior.
As it was in 4.0.0 and all version prior that.
   (That my favorite)

Option 3: Implement Undo history steps within MoveTool action (each position on
release).
-> Suggested in another long bug report, but I don't like that. It is always
problematic.
Move tool goes from a point A to a point B, imo. No need In-betweens steps.
(or in this case, to bake position is good enough)

[krita] [Bug 395338] Missing some button strings in krita.pot, some translated strings not reflected

2018-06-15 Thread Pino Toscano

(In reply to Pino Toscano from comment #32)
> Most probably that will require binding i18n()
> to the Python API, or using the Python binding of KI18n (which are not used
> much, though).

This seems to exists already, as there is a binding for i18n() here:
plugins/extensions/pykrita/plugin/krita/__init__.py
OTOH ...

(In reply to Pino Toscano from comment #35)
> Now the task is checking whether the translations actually work, and in case
> mark for translations also the strings of the other Python plugins.

... that binding is not useful, since:
a) it uses QCoreApplication::translate(), instead of i18n() from KI18n
b) the context ("PyKrita") is wrong, as all the strings are matched against the
"krita" domain (see -DTRANSLATION_DOMAIN=\"krita\" in the top-level
CMakeLists.txt)

@krita developers: pykrita needs a proper binding for i18n(), calling the
actual i18n() from KI18n, so translations are properly searched in the same
krita MO catalog as the strings in C++ files. If you have already familiarity
with SIP, a faster patch that what I could do is welcome :-)
(Also, while doing this, adding a binding for i18nc() would be nice too.)

And with 3.0.1... This is also interesting: in the original file, the layer3
and layer4 files have the same md5sum:

bec0b3db1869660646ddfabb559ccb62 layer4

Which is not the case in the resaved image:

[valgrind] [Bug 395416] New: --log-file output isn't split correctly after call vgdb

2018-06-15 Thread Opera Wang

Bug ID: 395416
Summary: --log-file output isn't split correctly after call

   Product: valgrind
   Version: 3.13.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: memcheck
  Assignee: jsew...@acm.org
  Reporter: opera.wang+...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

To work around bug 395414 , we call vgdb periodically to see if the application
calls exit() but does not quit.

However, it turns out call vgdb will make split log file does not work
correctly, if we do not call vgdb, the fix in bug 162848 works fine. But if we
call vgdb on parent process eg 29351:
/depotbld/RHEL5.5/tools/valgrind/3.13.0-rhel-6/bin/vgdb --pid=29351 v.info
scheduler

Then child process 31414's log file only contains a few start information like
valgrind command line options, and the left log will mixed in 29351's log:

Hello! Thnks for your help!
Yes, this happens always, when I am starting plasma in wayland.
Touchpad settings work through kcmshell5 kcm_touchpad (screenshot is in
attachment: https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=113337) But in system
settings they are still greyed out. Can you please tell me, how it can be
fixed?

kcmshell5 kcm_touchpad output:
kcm_touchpad: Using KWin+Wayland backend
kcm_touchpad: Devices list received successfully from KWin.
kcm_touchpad: Touchpad found: "Elan Touchpad" ("event18")
Using Wayland-EGL
qml: Touchpad configuration of device '1 : Elan Touchpad' opened
Using the 'xdg-shell-v6' shell integration

Also, as I have noticed in these settings only Tap-and-drag lock trigger is
enabled, but not setting for it (e.g. slider with timer for locked drags)

In plasma wayland session Xwayland is started with default settings which means
it listens on tcp/tcp6 on all network interfaces on port 6000+n (n=display
number).

Listening on network without user consent is harmful for security. Especially
as it's not possible to disable this in config.

In X11 session all display managers start xserver with '-nolisten tcp' option
which disables above behavior.

Considering above I think current Xwayland config is decreasing security in
comparison to standalone X11 session and should be adjusted.

BTW: This behavior can create specific issues for some users:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394431

Steps to reproduce:
1. Login to plasma-wayland session
2. sudo ss -tunwrap | column -t

Output of qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation

Hi,

After upgrading to Plasma 5.13 I noticed resizing of all windows is very
bugged. The problems manifest themselves threefold:

TYPE 1 bug = black elements and tearing; e.g. Desktop Effects window:
https://youtu.be/Sy1pBCPUs0g
TYPE 2 bug = black elements and lag, e.g. SDDM theme window:
https://youtu.be/7JpDvBk_p3A
TYPE 3 bug = tearing; e.g. Fonts window: https://youtu.be/PBEb1oWzow0 (BTW here
you can see a bug in fonts-kcm, look at the 'Adjust all fonts' text)

All windows are affected by some of these variants, not just the ones related
to settings.

Output of qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation is attached.

You may notice I have Wobbly Windows turned on, but the bugs happen even when
it's turned off.

Oops, replace "color-themes" with "color-schemes" in comment #2.

On the other hand, every application that uses KColorSchemeManager should have
access to the default color-schemes, so I moved this ticket to the
KConfigWidgets framework.

[plasmashell] [Bug 395423] New: Login screen only shows cursor, lock screen crashes.

2018-06-15 Thread Alexander
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395423

Bug ID: 395423
Summary: Login screen only shows cursor, lock screen crashes.
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.13.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: alexanderlnd...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

After upgrading from 5.12 to 5.13 the login screen doesn't show when booting.
There's only the mouse cursor showing.

Enabling auto-login skips the login screen and I get to the plasma desktop,
which works perfectly fine.

When locking the session I get the "The lock screen has crashed, use
loginctrl..."-message so the lock screen seems to have similar issues.

My system has an Nvidia GTX1070 with the proprietary drivers installed. I've
tried installing different versions, such as 384, 390, and 396.

I've tried moving/clearing ~/.config, ~/.cache, and ~/.Xauthority without luck.

I'm not sure where to go from here in order to help with troubleshooting.

[kleopatra] [Bug 381919] Kleopatra fails to validate S/MIME signed msgs with MPG CA in the cert chain

2018-06-15 Thread Achim Bohnet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381919

Next go:

The DFN CA and MPG CA in the chain of my personal zertificate as the Issuers:
a) DN: CN=DFN-Verein PCA Global - G01,OU=DFN-PKI,O=DFN-Verein,C=DE
b) DN: CN=MPG CA,O=Max-Planck-Gesellschaft,C=DE

There are 2 certificates in my pubring matching the string (a) and (b)
(well, (a) matches 3 but one is revoked) both of them are valid until Jul 2019.

The two variants differ in that the older one uses SHA1 (valid since ~ 2006/7)
as the hash algorithm and the other uses SHA256 (valid since 2014).

I've deleted the SHA1 variant of DFN CA - G01 and(!) MPG CA - G01 and now
the kmail accepts E-Mail signed by me as valid. I can even sent e-mails
signed by me, without disabling CRL checks in kmail settings. Yeah!

So my cert has an IssuerString MPG CA ... matching an SHA1 cert and SHA256
cert. DITTO for the MPG CA ... cert itself that has the DFN issuer value
mathing also 2 valid cert (one SHA1 one SHA256).

So AFAIU the problematic spot is:
  4 - 2018-06-15 09:31:02 gpgsm[14885]: DBG: chan_10 <- INQUIRE SENDCERT
/CN=DFN-Verein PCA Global - G01,OU=DFN-PKI,O=DFN-Verein,C=DE

  4 - 2018-06-15 09:31:02 gpgsm[14885]: DBG: chan_404 <- BYE

gpgsm is 2.1.11-6ubuntu2.1 and kmail is v18.04.1 (from 16.04/Neon User with
5.13)

So my conclusion is FWIW: the DN is not unique, so 2 matches are found. (Ditto
for the DFN CA G01) and validating signatures and sending of signed/encryped
Mail in kmail fails.

What confuses me is that Thunderbird on the same system does not complain.
Maybe kmail should use Subject instead DN? Or thunderbird is buggy or ... well
I don't know.

Status: UNCONFIRMED

When trying to save a file that has percentage signs in its name, Falkon will
wrongly assume them to be part of percentage encoding which leads to corrupted
names.

Example file:
https://yadi.sk/i/KEx7vR7y3UFETC

I tested it in Firefox with KDE Frameworks Open/Save dialogs and it works
there.

I'm a end user, not a developer. For that particular bug, the KDE Crash Dialog
does not appear after the crash. That is indeed why it took me so long to
report it (this bug appeared months ago, but do not recall the exact moment).

I cannot provide more info without the crash Dialog. If nothing can be done
without backtrace, then close this bug. I guess someone else will file it
again with more information :).

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Open System Setting application, go to Online Accounts section.
Click on + for Create, get a list of available providers.
Click on ownCloud provider, new window pops up.
In that windows there is no Cancel button, and I wanted to cancel my action, so
I clicked close button on the window top right corner.
After that, in the System Setting application, pane with list of Online
Accounts providers stays grayed out (as in disabled, no click possible), and
the progress bar on the bottom that appeared just runs without any progress
indefinitely.
When you select some other category from System Settings and then come back to
Online Accounts the pane with providers is enabled (you can click on buttons).
Then when I choose to close System Settings the crash report pops out.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[kde] [Bug 395299] Scrolling with mouse wheel does not work while dragging

That really suggests a libinput but to me; it's unlikely all major DEs and GUI
toolkits regressed simultaneously. Might try pushing back a bit on the upstream
Libinput bug report. Make sure to mention that it affects all versions of
everything. Let me know how that goes, and I can try to help out there if you
encounter resistance.

One issue per bug report please. See

Some features aren't available with Libinput.

Oh, I was wrong. The subject of the 2 MPG CA certs are identical too.

So looks like copying my .gnupg/ dir since years introduced a subtle bug
with the two identical DN in my cert chain.

DN and subject are identical. ID, S/N and sha1_fpr, md5_fpr are different

[Falkon] [Bug 395427] New: Speed Dial slow, not loading previews

2018-06-15 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395427

Bug ID: 395427
Summary: Speed Dial slow, not loading previews
   Product: Falkon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: kelsei...@icloud.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Per the summary, whenever I open a new tab Speed Dial can sometimes take
several seconds to load before I'm able to navigate to a new page. When it does
load, every preview is just either a broken image or a loading icon that
doesn't change. When I hit the reload button on any preview, it simply defaults
to a broken image right away.

This reduces the usefulness of the Speed Dial page quite a bit, which is
unfortunate since having used it on Vivaldi for some time before moving to
Falkon, I got quite a bit of use out of it. I would love to see it improved
here.

[systemsettings] [Bug 394898] Several but not all programs in System Settings crash upon activation

2018-06-15 Thread Andrew Dieffenbach
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394898

Hello. This crash stopped reproducing after a reboot (or perhaps two).

I was worried initially because I thought I had rebooted after a sizeable
update and this crash was occurring. I think what might of happened is I
rebooted after an update only to a little later perform some additional
updates.

At any rate, I believe that fixed these crashes. I'd say this bug can be closed
as cannot reproduce.

[Falkon] [Bug 395428] New: [Feature Request] Tabs at the bottom

2018-06-15 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395428

Bug ID: 395428
Summary: [Feature Request] Tabs at the bottom
   Product: Falkon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: extensions
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: kelsei...@icloud.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Prior to moving to Falkon, I used the Vivaldi browser for some time. One
feature I really liked was the ability to move the tab bar to the bottom of the
window, which had the effect of shifting the viewable area up slightly, making
it more easily visible.

Since there is already an extension for vertical tabs, I'm hoping it won't be
too much trouble to add one for bottom tabs as well.

[Falkon] [Bug 395429] New: [Feature Request] Number of instances on page search

2018-06-15 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 395429
Summary: [Feature Request] Number of instances on page search

  Severity: normal

 Component: general

  Target Milestone: ---

When using CTRL+F to search for text on a web page, it would be very useful to
have a count of how many instances of the entered text there were, if any.
Falkon is the first browser I've tried that doesn't have that feature, and I
believe it would help in day-to-day usage.
